Chapter 167 - 167 Embrace
The Sickly General's Wife With A Spatial Ability Is Loved By All
167 Embrace
Su Binglan felt like Luo Jinâanâs look had scalded her as she quickly averted her eyes.
The two walked home quietly and entered the inner room when they arrived. Luo Jinâan even lost his balance and swayed to the side when he walked past the door.
Fortunately, Su Binglan was by his side. She hurriedly held onto her husbandâs arm and said, âBe careful.â
She thought if a person were drunk, they probably would not be as conscious as Luo Jinâan. Everything he did was spontaneous.
However, Luo Jinâan was too quiet, and Su Binglan could not figure out whether or not he was drunk. She held his hand and told him to sit on the brick bed.
Luo Jinâan sat at the edge with his head lowered, leaning against the wall. He seemed uncomfortable, so he put his hand on his forehead as his hair was slightly scattered around his cheeks, making him look rugged.
When Su Binglan looked at her husbandâs appearance, she felt like he resembled the moonlight, exuding a refined and elegant aura, while his face was as exquisite as jade.
She asked, âAre you still conscious?â
Luo Jinâan replied hoarsely, âYes, Iâm okay.â
Su Binglan sighed. âYou canât drink much, can you? You should have told me earlier instead of acting brave. No one will laugh at you. Also, your body isnât better yet, and you should make judgments based on your health.
âStill, itâs my fault because I didnât know that you couldnât hold your liquor. Get some rest and lie down for a while if youâre not feeling well. Iâll go and make you some hangover soup.â
Su Binglan did not usually talk so much at once, but she did this time. Despite that, she did not know if her husband had heard her because he did not say anything either. She thought Luo Jinâan was asleep.
She murmured, âI donât think you heard what I said.â
Su Binglan got up to start a fire at the stove when Luo Jinâan responded, âI heard you.â
His voice was light, husky, magnetic, and seductive. Su Binglan stopped in her tracks when she heard his words.
âSo, he heard everything I said, after all.â
When she turned to look at her husband, she had a strange feeling in her heart when she saw how quiet Luo Jinâan was. It was as if there was a hint of warmth in the room because of his presence, and the whole room was no longer empty.
Looking at him, Su Binglan said smilingly, âThen you have a good rest, and call me if you feel unwell. Iâll go and make you some hangover soup now.â
Luo Jinâan said softly, âIâll be fine after a short rest. You donât have to do anything.â
He was just a little dizzy, thatâs all.
Still, Su Binglan smiled and said, âItâll just take a while.â
Luo Jinâan looked completely different from usual after drinking some wine. His eyes were slightly red, and he raised his eyes slightly with a hint of seduction whenever he looked up.
Since he felt a little hot, he opened his collar slightly, revealing his cold fair skin. Under the light, his skin gave off a jade-like luster, arousing oneâs imagination.
Su Binglan could not help but sigh. If she were not sure that the man before her was Luo Jinâan, she would have thought a demon had appeared out of nowhere and that he was there to seduce her.
She took a deep breath to calm herself down and told herself she could not be bewitched. She went to the stove to light a fire and made some hangover soup. Then she brought it over to her husband.
âI just made this, so itâs still hot. Take your time drinking it.â
Luo Jinâan raised his hand and was about to take the bowl, but he felt dizzy and could not do it properly.
Su Binglan hurriedly said, âHere, let me feed you instead.â She scooped a spoonful of soup, blew on it, and attempted to feed Luo Jinâan. âYouâll feel much better after drinking this.â
Luo Jinâan calmly looked at his wife, but Su Binglan felt uncomfortable. She felt as though her husband could see through her. She took a deep breath and said, âYou should drink the soup, not look at me.â
Luo Jinâan smiled lightly. His smile was beautiful and peerless. Su Binglan looked at his smile, and her heart palpitated. She thought to herself, âWhat a sly fox.â
Su Binglan only wanted to feed her husband the hangover soup so she could go and rest. âDown it. Youâll feel better after this.â
Only then did Luo Jinâan open his mouth.
After that, Su Binglan felt like she had completed her task and heaved a sigh of relief. âLie down and sleep.â
She was about to get off the brick bed when Luo Jinâan suddenly lowered his head, leaning against Su Binglanâs neck. She felt his hot breath on her neck, and her whole body trembled.
âJinâan. Jinâan?â Su Binglan tried to push her husband away, but she heard his faint breathing. âD-Did he fall asleep?â
She was puzzled and could only put the bowl aside while carefully laying Luo Jinâan down as she put a pillow under his head.
She told him to put his head on the pillow and was about to cover him with the quilt when Luo Jinâan flipped over and pressed her down with his arm. He was hugging his wife at that moment.
Su Binglan was shocked, and Luo Jinâanâs scent filled her nose.
âW-Whatâs going on?â
She turned to look at her husband and found that he was indeed asleep. She panicked and carefully picked up his arm to put it under the quilt.
Su Binglan thought, âI mustnât let him drink next time.â
â¦
When Su Binglan finished her work and returned to her room to rest, she tossed and turned but could not fall asleep. It was already very late by the time she finally did.
It was a little late when she woke up the following morning. Fortunately, it was not time to open the shops, so the family was not in a hurry to go to town. They simply waited for Su Binglan to wake up.
Luo Jinâan gave his wife some warm water when she woke up. He said, âThe water is warm, so wash up first. Iâve already prepared breakfast.â
Su Binglan did not hurry to wash up and looked at her husband with her hair down. Luo Jinâan simply lowered his head and smiled shyly. He cleared his throat, âAhem.â
Su Binglan did not know whether or not her husband was trying to cover something up by clearing his throat. She asked, âDo you still remember what happened last night?â
âI remember that we ate at your parentâs place last night, but not much after that,â Luo Jinâan said softly.
Su Binglan raised her eyebrows and asked, âSo, you donât remember anything after dinner?â
Luo Jinâan looked at his wife faintly and said, âIs there something I should remember? Donât tell me that you and Iâ¦â
He adjusted his clothes as he spoke. Although he did not finish his sentence, his meaning was apparent.
Su Binglan said through gritted teeth, âDonât worry. I didnât do anything to you.â
Luo Jinâan coughed and said weakly, âDonât be mad. We are husband and wife, after all. I should be responsible.â
Su Binglanâs teeth hurt as she said, âDonât misunderstand. Nothing happened between us.â
...
She felt like crying, but she had no tears. âDoes Jinâan really not remember, or is he only feigning ignorance?â
