Chapter 14 A Muddle-headed Woman

A few seconds later, Mu Li heard a “bang”—that was Lin Qing closing the bathroom door.

He looked out from the room, and of course, Lin Qing’s figure was no longer visible, but the snow-white boobs were half revealed earlier…. Well, they should feel good.

Mu Li went out of the guest room, but after thinking for a moment, he went back to get a housecoat and put it on the sofa. Then he sat down, and turned on the TV with the remote control, watching military news.

Not surprisingly, a dozen minutes later, there was a knock at the bathroom door, followed by Lin Qing’s timid voice: “Mu… Mu Li?”

Mu Li raised his eyebrows, looked at the housecoat at hand, and then curved up his lips.

Lin Qing did not hear Mu Li answer, so she raised her voice again: “Mu Li?”

Mu Li put down the remote control, got up from the sofa with the housecoat, and walked to the door of the bathroom. “Yes?”

“That… I…” Lin Qing stammered, “I finished bathing, naked…”

“…” Mu Li knew Lin Qing didn’t intend to say that but just simply explained her current situation, but… how could she be so unworldly to say that to a man through a door?

But then Mu Li felt nice when he realized he was the man.

Lin Qing did not hear Mu Li again and, realizing what she said, started to explain in a hurry, “Mu Li, I… I don’t mean that. I mean… I don’t have any clothes on.”

Mu Li handed her the housecoat in silence.

Lin Qing almost snatched up the housecoat from Mu Li’s hand. She immediately closed the door, regardless of Mu Li’s hand, which was still there.

Mu Li reacted quickly and pulled his hand out a second before it could be pinched.

Looking at the closed wooden door, the corner of Mu Li’s lips could not help lifting slightly—he could almost imagine Lin Qing putting on the clothes with red cheeks.

A few minutes later, the door slowly opened. Lin Qing inside the door saw Mu Li still standing outside the door, and subconsciously wanted to close the door again.

But who was Mu Li? Lin Qing was no match for him in speed.

So, Lin Qing could only watch Mu Li swiftly prevent her from closing the door. She saw Mu Li’s strong arms, and silently lowered her head–oh, she was not the opponent of Mu Li, which was unquestionable.

But what just happened… was so embarrassing. She must have slept too much and be silly to say that.

Mu Li looked at Lin Qing in a calm and composed way. “You have finished, so why don’t you come out?”

“…” Lin Qing didn’t dare to talk anymore.

Mu Li still went on, his lips curving up. “Do you think you can hide for a lifetime?”

Lin Qing suddenly raised her head to look at Mu Li, but she saw a tender smile, instead of malice, in his eyes.

But she still thought his words had… hidden meaning.

Uh, did she fall into a wolf’s den?

Seeing Lin Qing’s innocent face, Mu Li directly pulled her out of the bathroom.

“Ah…” Lin Qing exclaimed. She didn’t expect Mu Li to use “violence” suddenly. Somehow, she fell straight into Mu Li’s arms and hit his chest.

Mu Li took the opportunity to hug the little woman in his arms without her noticing–well, they felt good indeed.

But Lin Qing just thought that Mu Li held her in case she fell, so she repeatedly apologized with a crying face. “I’m sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean it.”

Would Mu Li think that she was taking advantage of him…?

Mu Li let go of Lin Qing and said generously, “I forgive you.”

When he finished, he turned and left.

Watching Mu Li’s back, Lin Qing was confused. “Eh?” For the first time, she thought Mu Li was an easy-going man.

She would never have thought that at this moment, Mu Li was laughing.

Mu Li went to the room to get changed and came out wearing a suit. He looked at Lin Qing and said, “Let’s go.”

Lin Qing looked at the handsome man in suit and tie, and then looked at herself in a loose housecoat. “I… I am wearing this. How can I go out? Or should I go home to get changed?”

Mu Li looked at the time. “It will be too late for you to go home now.”

“So…”

“Come with me.” Mu Li interrupted Lin Qing and took her out.
