Chapter 748
Always Been Yours
Chapter 748 Donât Worry, Iâm Here âNothing much, itâs just that they want to meet you.â
âIn that case, do I need to prepare anything?â Tessa couldnât help feeling nervous upon hearing so, for this would be her first time officially meeting his family after they got together.
âRelax, alright?â Nicholas cooed when he caught her nervousness. âIâll get everything ready for you.â
As he spoke, his familyâs temperament popped into his head, and he thought she would need a heads-up. âMy family will probably give you a hard time when you guys meet, but thereâs no need to worry. Iâll be with you.â
Tessa smiled lovingly when she heard his last few words and nodded furiously. âI wonât be worried if youâre around.â
Nicholas changed the subject as he looked at his belovedâs gorgeous smile, his gaze filled with nothing but tenderness. âDid you eat well tonight?â
âHow can I not when youâve sent your chef over?â
Tessa couldnât help feeling frustrated yet loved at the mention of that.
Nicholas chuckled under his breath in response. After chatting a little while more, he urged Tessa to go to bed.
After the call ended, Timothy urged again as he looked at the bright smile on his sisterâs face, saying, âWhat did I tell you? Everything will be fine if Nicholas says so. Alright, go to bed now. You have to go to the orchestra tomorrow morning, donât you?â
Tessa nodded in response and entered her bedroom. Then, she fell sound asleep the whole night.
â¦
Early the next morning, Timothy sent Tessa to the orchestra after having their breakfast.
Meanwhile, Mona noticed the siblings from afar and was rather surprised, but she didnât go up to the two.
Very quickly, Tessa bid Timothy goodbye and went inside, and it was only then Mona jogged to her while greeting, âMorning, Tessa.â
âMorning,â Tessa replied with a smile.
âI noticed that your brother sent you here,â Tessa gushed after approaching Tessa. âIâm honestly jealous. Your whole familyâs good-looking, especially your brother. I swear he looks more mature and charming than the last time I saw him.â
Tessa chuckled to herself, already used to Monaâs occasional shocking statements.
Lo and behold, next came another shocking statement.
âTessa, why donât you hook me up with your brother since heâs so cute? Donât you guys have a saying, goodies⦠familyâ¦â
Mona mumbled to herself for a long time, but she just couldnât put the saying together.
To that, Tessa shook her head while smiling and helped her out. âKeep the goodies within the family.â
âYes, thatâs it. What do you say to that?â said Mona jokingly as she looked at Tessa, who nodded in response. âSure. If you can win him over, why not?â
Though Mona was a non-native, she had gorgeous facial features and a bubbly personality as well. Tessa had to admit that Mona was a good match for Timothy.
Of course, the conversation was mostly just blabber, and neither took it seriously.
The two left the conversation at that and moved on to rehearsal very quickly.
At noon, Tessa got a call from Nicholas saying he would be taking her home at night.
Instantly, she figured out that she would have to face his grandfather and parents.
When night fell, Nicholas came and took her away as soon as she left the orchestra.
âTimothy, what are you doing here?â Tessa was surprised to find her brother standing at the doorstep when they arrived at the mansion.
âSince both families are meeting, and Iâm your only family member, itâs only right that I come and meet Nicholasâ family,â Timothy explained. In actuality, he was worried that the Sawyer elders would bully Tessa since she had come alone.
Inside, Remus, Tobias, and Stefania sat in the living room with grave expressions, and Kieran couldnât help feeling worried for his brother and Tessa.
The woman immediately found the atmosphere tense as soon as she followed Nicholas to the living room, and she couldnât help but freeze on the spot, feeling intimidated.
Timothy, who followed right behind, frowned upon seeing the scene. The Sawyer eldersâ stanceâ¦
When he sensed Tessaâs fear, Nicholas held her hand tight, giving her courage as he cooed, âDonât worry, Iâm here.â
