Chapter 29 ~ We Are Leaving

Third Person POV ~

Maddox carried Delilah over the threshold.. standing her on her feet. He kissed her as he slipped her dress to the floor… he undid his pants.. and let them fall, as he lifted her again.

He stepped over his pants and carried her up the stairs.. Never allowing her to catch her breath.. he kissed her entire face and had just started on her neck, as he laid them both on the bed.

Everywhere his hands touched her.. his lips followed.. as he reached her panties he whispered “These are so pretty, baby.. but they have to go.” As he extended his claws.. he ripped them from her body.

He kissed all the way down her left leg and back up her right.. stopping to kiss and lick where his fingers had just been.. readying her for what was to come.

He tugged her nub into his mouth.. sucking gently.. then nipping it with his teeth.. while his tongue worked magic all its own.

She hissed and let out a moan.. and his fingers joined his mouth in pleasuring her and she started squirming and moaning.. driving him to heights he never knew existed… when she flew over the edge.. he was there to catch her.. to talk her back down..

When he lined himself up at her entrance.. he pushed gently inside of her.. allowing her time to adjust to his size.. He kept moving every time she let him know it was okay. When he reached her barrier, he said “I am going to have to hurt you.. and I am so, so sorry, baby.”

She nodded and he pulled back enough to have enough leverage to push through the first time. Then he thrust hard enough to break through.. stopping when he felt it give way. He kissed her lovingly and waited until it stopped hurting.

When she was ready.. he began thrusting in and out of her….a gentle rhythm designed to allow her body to acclimate to his size and movement.. When her hips began thrusting up to meet him.. he increased the pace.. feeling every inch of her wrapped around him like a glove.

As she began cresting.. she was whining.. and moaning.. she gasped “I’m cumming..” and her muscles clenched and pulsated around him.. pulling him into oblivion.. Just as he came, his teeth sank deep and solid into her neck.. sending her into a cataclysmic orgasm that had her screaming his name.. as her teeth found their mark.

Just as soon as the entire territory felt the bond snap in place.. the moon shone down in all her glory.. and a concentrated moonbeam illuminated the altar where Delilah and Maddox stood a couple hours before.. swearing their undying love.

An undeniable force pulled both lovers to the window where the moonbeam was in plain sight of them. Delilah whispered “The Goddess has chosen. There.. it is where her temple will reside.” Maddox watched her face.. and realized the Goddess was speaking to his mate..

When the beam faded.. Delilah turned and smiled “We got wind.. that’s our gift.” Maddox shook his head “I’m not even sure what that means.” She laughed “It means we have to find Daddy and figure out about these gifts before we summon a hurricane.”

Maddox was pulling his clothes on.. while Delilah only had her dress to wear.. realizing she was going to be pantyless at the party, he groaned “Oh My Goddess! We are NOT staying long!”

They entered the party and Valerie was the first to ask if they had seen the moonbeam and Delilah responded “Yes.. of course.. It was the Goddess choosing where her temple will be. Won’t it be great? It’s been over a thousand years since she has been able to interact with her creatures.”

Hunter asked “She has to stay in the temple though.. Right? I mean.. she’s not going to be out.. or in town bar hopping or something.. Right?” Maddox laughs “Yeah.. it’s sort of the purpose of the temple.. She will hold audience with wolves that need her help.”

Delilah said “But only vitally necessary problem solving. She won’t fix trivial disputes.” Maddox grinned and said “And we can control the wind.. Where’s Henri?”

Venom said “Whoa.. Wait.. What? Wind?” Causing Delaney to break out in giggles.. Delilah spotted her dad.. as he walked out of the kitchen with Kathy on his arm.. Wait! Kathy? Then Delilah smiled.. thinking Kathy is perfect for Henri.

She mind linked him that she and Maddox would like to speak with him about their gifts. Henri excused himself from Kathy and made his way to his daughter.. Delilah smiled “It’s really good to see that smile, Daddy. Kathy looks happy, too.”

Henri smiled and said “Yes. I will marry that woman. She makes my heart happy. It hasn’t been happy for a long time. Now.. tell me what gifts you received.”

Delilah said “The Goddess said she gave us wind. And that you will tell us how to harness our gifts.” Henri laughed “Yes.. I can. But she could have told you herself and not interfered with your mating night.”

Maddox groaned “Of course.. she could have. I’m beginning to think the Moon Goddess and my sister are soul sisters!” Making everyone laugh.

Henri tells them both.. “You have to introspect.. When I first started.. I would meditate. You look inward… Your gift is a part of you.. Mine resides in my belly.. when I need it.. I reach inside myself and pull it to me.. I visualize the flame.. Once I have it in my mind’s eye.. I can project it outward.. from my fingertips.. Even out of my mouth.. although I learned not to do that often… it burns the fuck out of my throat.” Delilah chuckled.. then asked “What color is your gift? I am looking.. and I see a blue glow.. just under my ribcage.. Could that be it? I mean.. I can see all the members tethers.. and they glow dimmer.. more strings than that blue ball.”

Henri smiles “It could very well be your gift.. Mine is an orangish yellow color.. for fire, I would imagine.. so it’s plausible yours would be blue.. or white. Try summoning the wind.. “

Maddox grins “I see it.. Mine is blueish.. white.. Oh wait.. when I pull it forward, it gets brighter.. “

The wind begins to pick up around them.. starting low.. and building between and surrounding them.. as it increases in speed.. thunder could be heard in the distance.. and Venom said “Maybe practice some more tomorrow.. because I think you’re pulling wind from the mountains.. and storms are trying to build.”

Maddox laughed “That could come in handy.” Then he pulled Delilah to him and told everyone “We have plans we have to be getting back to.. So, excuse us.. we are leaving!”
