Chapter 286

The Unknown God of War

The words left the Tang family feeling devastated, as though the world was crumbling around them.

After all, Tang Weiguo had been the one supporting the Tang family. Without him, it was a matter of

time before the Tangs lost their status as one of the most reputable families in the country.

"Dad! Why… Why is it Cystic Lung Disease? I thought that dad had just been a chronic smoker, and

was suffering from Tracheitis. This is terrible!"

"What are we going to do? How are we going to survive when Dad is gone?!" Tang Li lamented.

Suddenly, he grabbed onto Professor Yang's sleeves and bellowed, "You piece of trash. All of you are

so useless! What kind of doctors are you? I don't care what method you use, you must save my dad. I

will not let you off if anything happens to him! All of you shall die with him if anything bad happens!"

"Yes, yes, we will try our very best. We will do whatever we can…" Professor Yang and the other

doctors replied timidly. They broke out in cold sweat, visibly shaken by the threats.

Unbeknownst to the rest in the room who were panicking over the situation, Chu Feng had entered

Tang Weiguo's room. He calmly went over to the ill man to take his pulse while the doctors looked on in

shock.

"A bunch of incompetent doctors! What's the point of paying you so much money when you can't be of

use at such critical times!"

"You can forget about walking out of here alive if anything happens to Mr. Tang!"

"I'm expecting all of you to think of the perfect solution within the next two hours. I want to see results!"

Tang Li's provocative remarks spurred the rest of the Tang family to direct their anger toward Professor

Yang and the physicians. Beads of nervous sweat began to break out once more as the physicians felt

their hearts race. They had nearly dropped their medical apparatus as their hands were shaking

uncontrollably.

"Stop with your nonsense! Are you guys trying to scare the doctors away? Who's going to treat Dad if

all the doctors cannot tolerate your rude behavior? Are you going to treat him?" Sisi's expression

darkened as she snapped at the rowdy Tang family members.

She then turned to Professor Yang and asked earnestly, "Is there really no other way, Professor Yang?

Have you guys considered trying extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, or perhaps an ostomy for the

lungs? We can try getting the clot out of Dad's lungs…"

After calming herself down, Sisi relied on her knowledge as a medical professor and suggested

multiple treatment methods.

Professor Yang replied solemnly, "Ms. Tang, we have been using the extracorporeal membrane

oxygenation machine all this while. As for the second method, it seems plausible in theory. Mr Tang's

lungs have been badly damaged and there are signs of rotting. He is in a dire situation. Furthermore,

the damaged spot is located too close to the heart. There is a high chance of internal bleeding given

his weak heart. Mr Tang's life will be in jeopardy if there are any mistakes during the surgery." After a

short pause, he continued, "However, it seems like we have no other choice, but to try this treatment

approach…"

Sisi scrunched her face and took a deep breath. "Professor Yang, how confident are you about the

surgery?"

The man was put in a difficult position. However, he bit his lips and told the truth. "Not… not even

twenty percent confident."

Upon hearing the answer, the Tang family began to whisper to one another. "Only twenty percent

confident?! Does that mean that there is no hope left for Mr. Tang? He will not be able to survive this

ordeal?"

Refusing to face reality, Tang Feng asked with a gloomy face, "Is there really no other way, Professor

Yang? If Mr. Tang is cured, I'm willing to donate ten billion dollars to your medical crew for research

purposes."

Professor Yang heaved a sigh of relief, and his eyes glistened with hope. Ten billion is such a large

sum of money. Even the prestigious Nobel Prize awards the winner with just a few million dollars.

Unable to think of a better solution, Professor Yang shook his head apologetically and said, "Mr. Tang,

even though I really want the ten billion dollars, I hate to tell you that I'm really sorry. I am out of ideas.

There are only two options left. First, take the risk and perform the surgery that we are only twenty

percent confident in. Second, after a week he will face imminent death. We can prepare for his

passing." It was obvious that Tang Wei Guo's time in this world was coming to an end.

Tang Feng immediately went silent as he tried to take in the devastating news. Sisi's eyes started

watering as she could not bear the thought of losing the man.

Just as the Tang family were engaged in a heated discussion, a voice emerged, "I can cure him."
