Chapter 256

The Unknown God of War

Suddenly, Yun Muqing got up and held Chu Feng's hand before saying, "I don't need you to meddle in

my affairs or deprive me of my interests 'for my own good.' I will never willingly hand this order to you. If

you want to be a director, Yun Xiaoyue, you must rely on your own diligence."

Yun Xiaoyue and her father's expressions darkened instantly. They felt greatly humiliated.

Chu Feng held on to Yun Muqing’s soft, lily-white hands and gazed at her beautiful face. The sight of

her warmed his heart.

As far as he could remember, this was the first time Yun Muqing had taken the initiative to acknowledge

that he was in fact her husband in front of other people.

“You ungrateful scum!"

Yun Jiaqiang had completely disregarded all civility. He slapped his desk and roared, "Yun Muqing, our

family has clothed and fed you for over twenty years. All that we ask in return is one measly purchase

order. How dare you talk back to me? You don't even know your place. I'm disappointed in you!”

Yun Xiaoyue yelled angrily, "How could you be this heartless, Yun Muqing?"

"Say, Uncle, why don't you ask yourself if you're even worthy to criticize others before you do so?" Yun

Muqing said indifferently. "I will never hand this deal to you. Let's go, Chu Feng."

She turned around and ignored Yun Jiaqiang. At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to leave

with Chu Feng. The sight of those two people disgusted her.

"That little bastard of yours is called Yun Duo, isn’t it?" Yun Xiaoyue's voice took on a sinister tone.

Wearing a smug look on her face, she said, "She'll be five years old soon, and I can tell she’ll grow up

to be quite the beauty. She goes to Little Swan Kindergarten, and school ends at 5.30pm every day,

right?"

Yun Muqing's body trembled as she questioned, "What are you planning to do?"

"Nothing, just a friendly reminder to you. I’ve heard that accidents happen frequently in that area. You

should really keep a close eye on your daughter's safety." Yun Xiaoyue said with a chuckle.

"It would be a shame if anyone were to get their hands on her. I mean, two children were kidnapped

last week…" Yun Jiaqiang cackled and continued, "Oh yeah. You should really keep a close eye on

your daughter. You have to make sure she's not kidnapped by anyone. Oh, she's such a beautiful and

adorable girl too. It would be bad if anyone was to get their hands on her…"

The father and daughter duo echoed one another. Yun Muqing could clearly hear the underlying threat.

Chu Feng's gaze turned cold. Anyone who was bold enough to threaten him with his daughter would

perish.

Yun Muqing was so furious that her body began to tremble as she exclaimed, "You are all despicable!

You are nothing more than a bunch of animals!"

"What are you on about, Muqing? I'm only doing this for your own good. Look, I'm here to remind you

what's best for you," Yun Jiaqiang explained while gently tapping his desk. "So tell me, are you going to

reconsider your choice now?"

While fiddling with her exquisitely manicured nails, Yun Xiaoyue tossed the contract toward Yun

Muqing. Her triumphant expression indicated that victory was within reach.

Yun Muqing gritted her teeth and clenched her fists so tightly that her palms seemed to be oozing

blood…

After two minutes, she slowly unclenched her fists and said, tremblingly, "I’ll sign it!"

She took up the pen and signed the contract without even giving it a glance.

"Don't touch my daughter or I won’t hesitate to bring you down with me. I won’t forgive you even if I’m

dead!" Yun Muqing said viciously. Aggrieved and angry, she ran out in big strides while wiping her

tears.

Her daughter was everything to her. She was the reason she had persevered for the past five years.

Likewise, she could lose her dignity and everything else, but she could never let her daughter suffer the

slightest setback.

Yun Xiaoyue excitedly grabbed the contract and examined it several times as if it were the most

valuable treasure.

With this purchase order of 50 million, not only she could receive 5 million in commissions, but her

chances of being promoted to the company’s core leadership were higher. Maybe in the years to come,

she might even take absolute control of the Yun family once her grandfather passed.

"You’re incredible, Dad! Clearly, you’re the wiser one between the two of us,." Yun Xiaoyue smiled and

complimented. She breathed a sigh of relief and felt optimistic about her future.
