I Love You Miss Genius ( Bonnie Shepard ) CHAPTER 21
I Love You, Miss Genius
Chapter 21
They quickly figured out that they were both students of Cary Burns.
âCary told me you just got back to Pyralis,â Bonnie said.
âHe told me heâd taken in one last student, but because I lived abroad all these years, I never had the chance to visit. I didnât think it was you! He always speaks highly of you, you know.â
âI didnât think youâd turn out to be my senior either. No wonder youâre so good.â
âCome on, youâre the real genius. Cary is right. Youâre a natural.
âYou mastered kickboxing even though youâre only 20. Youâve only been training with him for a short time, too.
âAll your seniors, including me, had to work hard for a long time, you know?
âTo be honest, youâd beat all of us if we were your age.â
As Masie spoke, she smoothed down Bonnieâs hair and dress.
Ivor and others arrived just in time to see it happen.
They gaped, and their eyes widened in disbelief.
âWhat the hell is going on, mom?â Ivor asked.
Masie held Bonnieâs hand and laughed. âI just sparred with her and discovered that we both learned kickboxing from the same person.â
Ivor was stunned.
âFor real?â Gedâs jaw dropped.
The others who had arrived thought they had misheard.
After all, Maisie had learned kickboxing from Cary, the greatest kickboxer in Arvandor. It was a shock
to find that Bonnie was his student too.
âAre you sure,
mom?â Ivor glanced at Bonnie discreetly.
âOf course, I am! Sheâs Caryâs last student,â said Maisie with certainty.
Ged felt he had been so wrong about Bonnie. He had always thought that she was a complete loser, but now it seemed that he had seriously underestimated her.
Maisie nudged Bonnie toward Ivor. âCome say hello to my teammate.â
Ivor was exasperated.
Bonnie patted his shoulder.

âI didnât know you were my seniorâs son. Now that I do, Iâm going to look out for you.â
Ivor couldnât take it anymore.
He pushed her hand off his shoulder.
Sigmund hurried over. âWhy are you all talking about kickboxing? Youâre getting engaged today!â
He took a deep breath and looked at Maisie. âWill you still object to their marriage?â
Masie turned to hold Bonnieâs hand again. âTo be honest, my son isnât good enough for you. As your senior, I think you should say no to the engagement.ââ
Ivor was speechless. Ged tried hard not to laugh.
âHowever,â Maisie continued, âas Ivorâs mom, I wish you would say yes.â
Bonnie smiled. âIâve made a deal with Sigmund. If Ivor and I still donât like each other in one month, weâll go our separate ways.
âI see.â
Maisie didnât know about that.
âOh, Ivorâs grandma gave this to me. I want you to have it.â
Masie removed her bracelet and tried to put it on Bonnieâs wrist.
âWoah, this is too much!â
âCome on. Itâs a gift.â
âBut-
âWhat? Donât you like it?â
âI do!â
