Chapter 91 Fall in Love with Him Betty couldn‘t remember how long it had been since her mother had bathed her like this. In fact, Shelly

only did it when she was very little. After that, she was busy working and Betty had to take care of hers elf.

“Of course.” Kerwin answered casually, taking the clothes from Betty‘s hand. “Didn‘t you say you had to look after your mother? But your hand is injured. How do you take care of her? I can stay and look afte r you both.‘

“You don‘t have to do that,” Betty said, “I can take a good care of my mother.”

“Really?” The man raised his eyebrows. “You even need me to help you take a bath. Are you sure you

can handle this yourself?”

What he said reminded her of what happened in the bathroom. Her face turned red and she forgot to re tort. Then she heard Kerwin chuckling.

He just took the clothes and went to the bathroom.

Betty was annoyed for a moment. She felt that she was led by Kerwin again. It made her feel as if he had gotten permission to s tay here tonight Before leaving the room, he suddenly thought of something. “If you come home with me, I won‘t stay he re.”

With that, he went straight to the bathroom and took a cold shower deliberately to douse the fire inside

him.

When he returned to the room, he found Betty already in bed. The mattress was so small, that Betty wa s almost curled up in the corner. Kerwin lay down on the bed and hugged her into his arms.

“What are you hiding from?” Kerwin whispered in her ear, “Doesn‘t the bed have much space now?”

Then he turned off the light, feeling exhausted after a long day. The smell of Betty‘s hair made him hap py.

It seemed that sleeping in a small bed had its advantages, for at least they could be so close together.

He quickly fell asleep, but Betty stayed awake for a long time.

She turned a little, looked up and saw his handsome face with the stubble on his chin.

Kerwin‘s breath was all around her. For a moment, she felt her heart beating so violently that she could not control it.

She thought to herself, “Betty, do you have feelings for Kerwin? Or are you in love with him already?”

At midnight, many people in Chicago were still sleepless.

After working overtime, Jeffrey was tired from work when he got to his apartment next to his magazine

office.

He didn‘t want to see his father and grandfather every day, so he rented an apartment near the company.

Out of the elevator, he was about to walk towards his apartment when he saw a petite figure squatting i n front of his door.

“Emily?” said he, a little surprised to see her here.

Hearing his voice, Emily looked up. Her eyes were red, which showed that she had been crying.

“Jeffrey, you‘re back,” said she sadly. “I‘ve been waiting here for you for a long time. I couldn‘t get throu gh your phone.”

“Why are you waiting for me here?” asked Jeffrey, frowning. Then he helped her to get to her feet. “I wo rked overtime. My cell phone is out of battery. Let‘s go in first.”

As soon as they entered the room, Emily immediately hugged him.

“What‘s wrong?” He froze.

Her tears soaked his shirt. “Jeffrey, will you leave me?” she whispered.

Emily didn‘t know how to describe her feelings when she heard Lydia‘s words today.

That woman told her that today Jeffrey asked Betty why she didn‘t explain that she was framed in front of everyone in the magazine.

Emily knew that Lydia told her this because she wanted her to teach Betty a lesson. Unexpectedly, her

face turned white with fear when she heard this.
