Chapter 50 You Like to See Me Wear Tights Peter turned pale, “Mr. Martin, that’s not what I mean.”

Kerwin didn’t make any reply but left by wheeling himself.

He went back home and to his bedroom. Betty, wrapped in a bath towel, got out of the bathroom and saw Kerwin get in.

Betty cried with fright and headed to the bathroom in a rush.

Kerwin opened his mouth calmly, “No need to hide. I’ve seen you naked.”

Betty was taken aback.

She thought about the other night when they almost had sex. Kerwin indeed saw her naked that night.

Betty blushed at that thought. She walked out awkwardly, put on the nightgown swiftly, and tore off the bath towel inside.

Kerwin looked at Betty whose body was still wet. Water drops slid down her beautiful neck and she flushed red from the steam in the bathroom, making her look adorable and tempting.

Kerwin coughed and averted his gaze.

Albeit upset over the fact that Betty was raped and no longer a virgin, he was easily turned on by her whenever he saw her bare skin.

After Betty changed into a nightgown quickly, she got under the covers hurriedly and looked at Kerwin.

Betty finally realized why no one was around Kerwin to attend to him. He didn’t need any caregivers, which were only troublesome to him.

Kerwin walked into the bathroom and then came the sound of running water. Betty was about to browse the posts on Twitter, but the sound of running water suddenly came to a halt and Kerwin’s voice rang out.

“Betty?”

Kerwin’s voice was pleasant, low, and husky. Every time he called her, her heart would skip a beat.

“What’s up?” She got up.

“I forgot to take my underwear in,” Kerwin said. “Could you get it for me?”

Betty was taken by surprise, blushing.

“Is it inconvenient?” Kerwin’s voice rang again since Betty gave no reply. “I can go out to take it.”

The image of naked Kerwin came into Betty’s mind. She got out of bed like a shot, “No need. I-1-1 can get it for you. Where is it?”

Kerwin stood at the bathroom door, curved his lips into a faint smile, and said in an undertone, “In the bottom drawer of the closet.”

Betty opened the drawer and saw the brand name underwear in there. With her eyes closed, Betty grabbed one. She walked to the bathroom door and knocked on it.

She thought Kerwin would pull the door ajar and she could pass the underwear through that crack. But Kerwin opened the door wide.

The steam in the bathroom came out and enshrouded Kerwin who got out of the shower. It was the sight that leaped to her eyes.

Though they had close contact with each other before, it was the first time that Betty had seen his naked body.

Her eyes swept from his broad shoulders, strong chest, and perfect abs to clear V-shaped muscle lines. As her eyes traveled down, she saw his private part wrapped in a towel.

Betty’s mind went blank.

“Thank you.” In contrast to Betty who freaked out, Kerwin was calm as usual. He took his underwear from Betty’s hand and raised his eyebrows. “You like to see me wear tights, huh?”

“You… You go on!” Betty shifted her gaze and hurriedly pushed the bathroom door.

Kerwin lowered his head to look at Betty’s blushed face. He felt she was adorable and let her close the door.

After getting back to bed, Betty could feel her face burning. She decided to compose herself by browsing Twitter.

After a while, Kerwin came out. Betty was too awkward to meet his gaze, and she could only drop her eyes to her phone screen.

“Sleep,” Kerwin whispered. Seeing Betty nod her head hastily, Kerwin turned out the lights.

Betty lost sleep that night.

The moment she closed her eyes, Kerwin’s strong body and the faint smile on his face came into her mind. Her heart raced faster and faster. She kept murmuring, “Calm down.”

Betty didn’t know Kerwin also lost sleep when she tossed and turned.

Hearing Betty’s murmurs, Kerwin had an impulse to have sex with her, but he repressed it after thinking twice.

He would have sex with her when she was fully prepared.

The next morning.

Betty was awakened by the ringtone.

In the dining room, Kerwin was having breakfast while Peter was reporting information about the investigation to Kerwin.

“Who are they?”

An embarrassed smile flashed across Peter’s face, “We found none of them.”

“None?” Kerwin raised his eyebrows.

Peter was highly competent. If he couldn’t find them, it meant they were not ordinary people.

“Keep looking,” Kerwin said. “And, who’s the middle man?”

“I got some clues on it. It seemed he was bought off. It’s easy to find him out.”

Peter nodded his head. Something popped into his head. After the slightest hesitation, he said, “Mr.

Martin, when we were investigating, we found that Mrs. Martin’s mother seemed stricken with illness two years ago and hadn’t come to herself yet.”

Kerwin was taken by surprise and his face darkened. “Why didn’t you tell me that?”

Peter felt aggrieved and thought.

Mr. Martin, you never ask us to look into it!

“Who affords her treatment?” Kerwin thought of something. “Long-term hospital care will lead to costly medical bilis, right?”

“Yes, after Mrs. Martin married you, she got the resident certificate in Chicago and applied for Medicaid for her mom. Only then was she less pressured. But she still has to pay a large sum of money.”

So, that’s why she wants to marry me.

Kerwin figured that out. He raised his head and saw Betty walking downstairs. He shook his hand, signaling to Peter to stop talking. “Morning.”

Betty looked at Peter with confusion. “What were you talking about?”
