Contract Marriage With The Disabled CEO By Woody Rain Chapter 21
Contract Marriage With The Disabled CEO
âWhy?â Betty frowned. âYou donât want me to be here, do you? If so, you can transfer me to another department. Then we both can feel at ease.â
âAre you saying that I donât want to see you?â Jeffrey suddenly sneered and leaned back. âBetty, you are wrong. Do you really believe that it is a coincidence that I work here?â
Betty turned pale. âWhat do you mean?â
Jeffrey suddenly got up, grabbed something on the table, and threw it on Bettyâs face.
Betty looked down and found that it was a special column of her interviewing Kerwin with her name in it.
âBetty, I came to work here on purpose after I saw your name.â Jeffrey said word by word and came closer to Betty. âIf you leave, I canât revenge myself on you. You betrayed me two years ago.â
Shuddering all over, Betty looked up and met Jeffreyâs eyes directly. His eyes were dark, full of hatred.
Only then did she finally understand that Jeffrey hated her.
Biting her lip to hold back her tears, Betty asked in a low voice, âJeffrey, what should I do to get your approval?â
âMaybe I should ask you what I can do to keep you here.â Jeffrey walked toward her steadily. âShould I give you more money? After all, you love money the most.â
Bettyâs fingers kept shaking because of Jeffreyâs humiliation, but he still didnât let her go easily.
âAnswer me, Betty. How much money will keep you here?â Jeffrey raised his voice, âOr your department transfer is just an excuse for more salary in the first place. Otherwise, if you donât want to see me, you may just resign.â
Betty was speechless.
She couldnât tell Jeffrey that she needed the salary for her motherâs treatment in the hospital. She couldnât afford to lose this job.
âWhat? Am I right?â Bettyâs silence completely irritated Jeffrey. âBetty, do you like money so much that you can do anything, even providing sexual services? Well, in that case, you may be my mistress for the sake of our love two years ago.â
Betty was shocked and looked up at Jeffrey in disbelief.
âOh, are you going to accept it?â Jeffrey sneered. âYouâve been engaging in this dirty business even after you got married, right? I am better than some disgusting old man after all. Donât worry, Iâm not the poor boy years ago. I can give you everything you want.â
Hearing this, Betty suddenly felt sick.
She never expected that Jeffrey, whom she once loved deeply, would disgust her so much.
âJeffrey,â she finally opened her mouth. âDonât worry. Even if I love money, Iâm not interested in your money at all.â
After that, Betty quickly walked out of his office without a single look back at him.
Rushing to the bathroom stall, Betty finally couldnât bear it. She collapsed on the toilet lid and wept.
Her life changed completely two years ago.
But she was the victim. How came Jeffrey hated her?
Just as Betty suffered a breakdown, her phone in her pocket suddenly rang.
Betty tried to hold back her tears. When she saw the caller ID, her eyes became gloomy and cold again.
She answered the phone in a cold voice, âWhat do you want?â
âBetty, how dare you talk to your father so rudely?â It was Roger at the other end of the line, sounded quite angry.
âI am always rude,â Betty sounded a bit impatient. âYou wonât call me for nothing. Tell me, what do you want?â
I âYour sister is getting married soon,â Roger said directly. âIf you are free, go home and have dinner.
Meet your brother-in-law.â
âHome?â Betty said ironically. âFather, thatâs not my home.â
âBetty, watch your manners!â Roger raised his voice. âYour sister is not marrying some ordinary man.
He is the young master of the Martin family! All our family members will have dinner together. You must come home tomorrow night!â
Then he hung up the phone.
Still holding her phone in her hand, Betty frowned slightly.
Emily would marry the young master of the Martin family, No wonder Emily wanted Betty to go home. Emily was about to show off her good fiance.
Although Betty knew it very well, she had to go home. If not, her father would bawl at her angrily.
Finally, Betty decided to go home for a dinner.
