Zhang Xiulan naturally didn’t get anything, so she returned to her house in dejection.

When Chen Xinyue saw Zhang Xiulan’s dejected expression, she asked her what had happened.

Zhang Xiulan gritted her teeth and told Chen Xinyue what had happened today.

Chen Xinyue heard that ever since Chen Baiyi left them, her life had been getting better and better. She had lost her reputation as a jinx. Not long ago, she had earned quite a lot of money from the pig head meat business. Now, she was even the boss of a business. Chen Xinyue felt very upset.

However, she still comforted Zhang Xiulan. Zhang Xiulan was deep in thought and didn’t notice what Chen Xinyue said.

After seeing Dog Two, Chen Xinyue finally couldn’t help but complain.

“Why can Chen Baiyi earn money on her own?”

“Why am I the one marrying a widower? Chen Baiyi should have married him!”

“Chen Baiyi is a jinx! Not only did she kill her mother, but she also killed her father! She should die!”

“It shouldn’t be like this. Chen Baiyi’s life shouldn’t be as good as mine!”

Dog Two looked at Chen Xinyue’s face, which had become distorted because of jealousy, and felt a little afraid. However, he still remembered how he had been taught a lesson by Chen Baiyi the last time. He had been bullied by a woman. Dog Two couldn’t take this lying down and wanted to teach Chen Baiyi a lesson.

When he heard Chen Xinyue say that Chen Baiyi was weaving bamboo baskets, he thought of a brilliant revenge plan.

Chen Xinyue knew that Dog Two was planning to cause trouble for Chen Baiyi. She thought that he was doing this for her, so she hid in Dog Two’s arms shyly.

That night, Dog Two sneaked to the Chen family’s old residence. He decided to climb over the wall and enter. Then, he would burn Chen Baiyi’s bamboos. He wanted to see how she could earn money without bamboos. He wanted to teach her a lesson and let her know that he wasn’t someone to be trifled with.

After all, Dog Two was a hooligan, so he was much more familiar with climbing over the wall than the previous two people. He made very little noise.

After coming in, Dog Two leaned against the wall and looked for the bamboos in Chen Baiyi’s yard under the dim moonlight while holding a lighter.

After taking a few steps, he saw a black shadow charging at him. Before he could react, he was pounced on by Chen Baiyi’s large black dog.

Dog Two kept waving his hands and kicking around. He wanted to chase the large black dog away, but the large black dog wasn’t so easy to chase away. It kept biting Dog Two.

Dog Two’s miserable cries came from Chen Baiyi’s courtyard.

After Chen Baiyi came out, she saw the large black dog bravely fighting a man. She hurriedly found something to protect herself. When she saw that the large black dog had the upper hand, Chen Baiyi slowly relaxed.

In fact, she was even watching the large black dog fight the man. She had been too flustered just now, so she hadn’t seen who it was clearly. Now that she took a closer look, she realized that it was none other than Dog Two, whom she had taught a lesson a while ago!

Dog Two didn’t work out or train, so how could he be a match for the tall and mighty black dog? He was quickly bitten until it was covered in wounds.

Chen Baiyi was afraid that if the large black dog didn’t stop soon, he would die, so she called the large black dog over.

Chen Baiyi looked at the defenseless Dog Two on the ground and wondered why he had come. Then, she saw the big black dog bring the lighter in Dog Two’s hand to her.
