Epilogue: Downs and ups
His Appointed Wife
The end is nothing but a beginning to a new story.
Epilogue: downs and ups
Life is like a giant wheel. It spins and spins until everything changes.
The good things change too.
Even the bad things, they change too.
Nobody is ever stuck in one place.
It is not easy, to guess it. To guess where your stop will be the next day.
It is clever and wise to just live it and maybe love it as you go. Enjoy it.
There is no use in obsessing over tomorrow.
Only today, this spin in the giant wheel matters.
"No, no, no."
"But boss..."
"Tom, I don't want to know if it is a boy or a girl."
"Fine. But lady boss asked me to bring the envelope and I am just asking you to deliver it to her."
"What if I sneak in a peek."
"You don't trust yourself. God. Boss. Everything has changed now and I feel like I am walking at the edge of the mountain. Everyday. Each day. Some days I feel like ny heart is going to shatter with too much of this guessing."
"Stop being a drama queen."
"I am not."
"Just walk away, and take that to Alex."
"Only if you let me drive your car."
"Never."
"Hmm. It doesn't hurt to try." He shrugged as he closed the door. Logan smiled and opened his file, but all his thought was inside that envelope.
"It is a...." Alex opened the envelope as she closed the file in front of her.
Her daddy's office had now become hers and as she sat and work and restore everything back in order, it is becoming to feel more and more like hers.
Her dream.
It wasn't just her Dad's dream anymore.
There were a lot of debts and after clearing it all and unknotting all the knots Stacy's dad had created in the place, it was actually thriving a little.
Her company. GS textiles. She wanted to make it better and bigger.
Maybe create their own line of dresses as they had done when her mom was alive. Maybe one day. Soon.
Alex wanted to make her own mark in the place.
Of course, she loved interior decoration, but till this company was standing on its own leg, she wanted to concentrate on this.
And then maybe she would go back to consult for Logan's company as he had asked her to do.
She had hired a lot of young and new minds for her Dad's company --her company. And they were all proving to be wonderful and talented.
Her eyes lightened as she read the result.
"It is a..."
"Don't. If you tell me, I will blabber it to my boss one day or the other and he is going to kill me that day."
Alex chuckled as she placed a hand on her belly.
"But I want to know..."
"Forget it." Alex said with a smile as Tom let out a big sigh.
"The things I do for your husband." He said as he closed the door and walk away.
"Hi baby girl, I feel like you are going to be your daddy's girl." Alex whispered as she sat down on the couch and called Stella and Eliza and Emma and everyone she could. To share about her baby.
Life is not always easy, but at some point, somewhere, somehow, everyone will find their oasis.
This is theirs.
Alex and Logan, they were in that giant wheel of life, too. The unforgiving wheel or life.
She was at the top, flying. He was at the very bottom, struggling.
Someone switched it on. The giant wheel started to spin and spin and spin and soon...
Alex lost everything and she was down, so down, so lost. Logan came out on top of everything. Except it was not actually the top. He was still lost, too, though he didn't know.
And then they met, when the giant wheel stopped, making them across from each other.
And it was destiny. This meeting. Their meeting. It was supposed to be their liberation. Their saving grace.
They both needed that saving grace. That love.
Oh, their love, it was full of blunders and mistakes and wounded prides and egos and jealousy. It was human love, after all.
They were human after all.
But at the end, their love succeeded.
They succeeded.

"it is all fun and game until someone gets kissed ð"
***
Sky Mitchell has an unrequited crush on her childhood best friend, Hunter Reed for a while now, which almost every one can see except the oblivious recipient of her affection. And Hunter Reed has a gorgeous girlfriend Sky hates and the girlfriend is not going anywhere else, unless Sky makes a deal with the devil, Holden Reed.
One drunken mishap later, Sky agrees to sell her soul. Holden will steal Hunter's girfriend away and Sky will repay it with kisses and whatever else Holden needs. They sign the pact and everything is set in motion. Kisses. No feelings. Faking. It is easy, isn't it?! Or so she thinks!
Suddenly, she is kissing the wrong brother in the shadows, inside the closet, under the bleachers and she is starting to get addicted to the kiss, except Holden Reed is not someone a girl should like or fall for. Holden is bad news. Even though he makes Sky's heart skip a beat or two, Sky knows falling for Holden is a guaranteed ticket to heartbreak town, and more importantly she is in love with Hunter. Is she not?
A stolen kiss in the shadows of the nights, a cyclone of desire pulling them both in , and nothing will ever be the same for Sky and Holden. Their lives are forever changed.
They are both not ready for the whirlwind of emotions sweeping them off, but they are both helpless against the rush of new and old feelings.
A little bit of spark and they are caught in the inferno. Campfire and embers, they are made to burn brighter in the dark. Words and music, they are made for songs, the songs one must hear on repeat.
They are planets of their own. Beautiful. Independent. Stubborn. Carrying their own sun and the moon and the secrets. And when they collide... what will happen?
Blurb:
She bit her lips, looking up at him with a devilish smile and pressing a finger against his soft, plump lips. His breath left in a shuddering gasp as his hands found her lush body and he pulled her towards him and this time it was her turn to gasp.
"What are you trying to do, freckles?" Holden's voice was air, and she soundlessly giggled. "Why are we hiding in my brother's closet?"
"So that we won't get caught! Duh!" She said with a roll of her eyes. She ignored the fact her body was pressed against solid walls of muscles that radiates warmth and her heart is fluttering wildly in her chest.
The boy standing opposite to her looked at her with stormy gray eyes, that was made of million sleepless nights. She could easily get lost in those eyes, but no, no. Those eyes are bad for her health.
"We weren't doing anything!" He said as he leaned in closer to her, as if he wasn't already close in this tightly packed space. His warm breath made the hair in her neck stood up.
"No? What are we doing now?" She teased, as she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him, slowly, sweetly. His lips were soft, pliable, willing to do everything she wanted, and her body was begging for more.
"Holden," she breathed his name out in a moan and his eyes smouldered, full of desire and need.
No one had ever looked at her like that, like they would die of pain and pleasure if they didn't touch her, never in her life. And she felt powerful, she felt undefeated.
"Yes, freckles?" His voice was hoarse, breathy and his words slid against her electrified skin, sending tremors down to her toes.
"I can pay you with kisses. Like this." She said, as she grabbed him by his neck and pulled him to her.
"What?" He blinked.
"To steal her away." She said as she looked into his eyes, challenging him to defy her words.
For a moment, he looks utterly pissed. His eyes brew violent storms in their depths. Dark and dangerous and alluring, the look in his eyes made her somach clench with need.
"Okay, freckles. If that is what you want." He said, after what felt like a decade, his voice a soft defeated sigh.
He cupped her face in his hands. His fingers trailed along her cheeks, her chin and he pressed his thumb against her bottom lip.
"Can we seal it with a kiss?" He whispered and she grabbed his T-shirt, bunched it in her hand and pulled him in for a long, deliciously tempting kiss.
Million Kaleidoscope broke behind her closed eyes.
His lips were so soft, they were like velvet on hers, they were like decadent chocolate, and he kissed her slowly, lazily, as if he had all the time in the world.
Her heart was racing like a horse on the racetrack, and her body chanted, more, more.
