Chapter 32

Chapter - 32

Broken yet Beautiful (Completed)

"Mom, you can't do this?" Neil was bewildered with his mother's recent ask.

"Neil, when you disappoint me... I don't need to..." Nandini's eyes were blazing with fire. Her son's recent doings has raised questions on her upbringing. She was agitated.

"Mom... Mom, please listen to me." Myra tried to intervene. She held Nandini's wrist and made her sit on the nearby couch. She knew she needed to take control of this situation.

"Myra don't defend him like always." Nandini was frustrated by now.

"Myra he can't do this with you. I will not allow him to hurt you." Dev spoke with surety. He turned to his son, "I had already warned you Neil..."

"I trust Neil." Myra's assured voice boomed in their house.

The entire Singhania family became silent with just a sentence from Myra.

She continued giving a light squeeze to Nandini'palm. "We have some outsiders, Mom." She indicated they were discussing their internal family matters in front of Meera.

Hearing Myra, Nandini just passed death glare to Meera with gritted teeth. She was fuming in anger.

Myra got up from her seat and faced Meera. "Meera, please... please go to your room. This is something about MY FAMILY." She purposefully stressed.

Meera clenched her fist so tight that her nails must have left their mark on her skin. Her sister has openly addressed her as a stranger, showing her true place in their life and house. Meera took it as an insult.

She could not not believe her twin sister's words and Singhania's silence over them. Her twin was successful in quietening down each and every Singhania with just her one sentence, especially Nandini Singhania.

Once upon a time Meera was in the good books of Nandini Singhania, For sure, she was able to impress her with her to such an extent that a lady like Nandini Singhania forced her beloved son to marry her. But, even then Meera never had any upper hand over Nandini... not only Nandini but Dev Singhania as well. She was their son's beloved wife and daughter in law of the powerful and influential Singhania family, but then also she could never enjoy supremacy over them anytime during her married days with Neil.

But her little twin, has gained it effortlessly within just 10 months of her forceful marriage with her ex-husband gave a major blow to Meera's mindset.

"Meera I think, I said something... please leave us alone for sometime." Her sister's authoritative tone broke her train of thoughts. She nodded her head before turning and walking back to her room.

"Wow, my own parents don't trust me." Neil mumbled in audible to any one while ruffling his hair.

"Mom, please. Please listen to us. Dad, you too please." Myra requested she was back on the couch besides Nandini.

"Neil, how could you do this? This girl sitting here is the one who brought you out of darkness. Because of her, I am getting my lost son back and you... you again brought that bitch in this house. How cruel are you?." Nandini pointed to Myra firing daggers at her son.

"You again disappointed me son." Dev shook his head.

"Mom, Dad you both are getting this wrong. Neil is doing this for us. Trust me." Myra again tried to convince.

"That bitch is in this house... who destroyed everything and you are referring to my brother is doing this for your betterment? Come on Myra, are you hearing yourself?" This time Niren spoke up, earning death glare from his elder brother.

"Niren you too?" Neil was stunned when he did not receive any support from his younger brother as well.

"Mom, you remember once you had said. Me and Neil are very good as Neev's parents but I need to remind Neil that apart from being his son's mother... I am his wife as well?" Myra took a deep breath before speaking out loud. She knew it's going to be a long convincing session with her in-laws.

Neil stared at his wife and mother blankly, he was clearly unaware about such conversation.

Nandini nodded her head in agreement.

"Being his wife, it's my duty to support my husband in his thick and thin time. I am just doing this for this marriage. To flourish my and Neil's relationship as husband and wife in true sense."

Her mature words left everyone stupefied at their places.

"Mom, Dad, Neil never got a proper closure to his horrendous past. Situation and us... we never gave him time to combat, fight and close down the old scars." Neil was able to connect her every word with his current mental state. He was content to see her fight and support. Truely, he was blessed to get her as his life partner.

"When Meera left him without giving any answers or explanations he did deserve to be vulnerable but he could not. He was left with Neev's responsibility as a single father. He didn't have time to grieve over the worst betrayal he faced. I am sure he would have buried himself in taking care of his newborn. When he was about to accept the harsh reality of his life he was thrown for this forced marriage. And now we are all expecting him to accept this marriage and live like nothing has happened." It was Myra who was speaking Neil's heart out.

Even Neil could not have understood himself so much till today but his Nightingale did. She was the mirror of his heart.

"That's so unfair to him Mom." Now she was staring at her husband. They both were sharing an eyelock which was filled with trust, respect and care.

"He needs to take out his anguish. He deserves a final closure to his past so that it won't ever bother him. And as his better half I can at least do this for him." It was a message passed between two soulmates. "For us."

Neil nodded his head while one tear streamed over his cheek looking at his wife. She was proving herself to be his strength by each passing day.

"And I trust Neil from the bottom of my heart, that whatever happens, he will never ever break my trust. He will never think to hurt his Nightingale even in his dreams." Now one tear dropped from Myra's eye. It was filled with happiness and trust.

Neil just nodded his head in negative. He could not see tears in her eyes even though they were telling her inner peace and happiness.

"Mom, Dad, please... Please try to understand." Now Myra turned back to her mother in law.

And then Myra explained the real reason behind Meera's stay in their house.

"Do you really want to do this?" Nandini asked sceptically.

"Yes, Mom. I am with Neil. Now and always" Myra assured, "And don't worry, even though me and Meera share the same bloodline but our upbringing and virtues are different."

"Who would not know this better than me?" Nandini caressed her cheeks. She held Myra's face between her palms and pulled forwards her face to kiss her forehead.

"Thank you, my girl."

"You know, you are such a luckiest asshole in this world." Niren murmured to his elder brother.

"I know. Because my Nightingale is my soulmate." Neil's heart was rejoicing, it was after a long time he felt he was falling in love once again... or maybe for the first time.

His heart and soul concluded with Meera whatever he felt it was nowhere close to what he was experiencing now for Myra. With Myra there was some irresistible pull, excitement to spend every moment with her, her thoughts, moments he spent with her were not living his mind even for a single second.

He was able to see, dream of a bright, happy future for himself with her.

Feelings with Myra were so pure, pious, serene.

It was late night when three Singhania's started leaving for their home after their dinner.

Dev and Neil had an opportunity for a quick chat when Neev had kept others busy.

"She is blindly trusting you, Neil. You know the consequences when someone breaks your trust. She won't be able to take it if you..." Dev could not complete.

"Dad, I will prefer death before breaking Myra's trust. She has given me this life. She has become my life... And I can do anything to save my life." He was staring at Myra's smiling face. She was taking a stroll holding Neev in her arms. The poor little boy was tired and slept immediately in his mother's cocoon.

"Mom, just give me two minutes. I will keep him upstairs and come." Myra spoke in a very low voice.

"Bye." Neil and Myra waved hands when Niren drove their car out of the gate.

Myra turned to go back inside the house but she felt a sudden pull. In the next moment she was pulled into her husband's embrace and his lips were on her's devouring their taste.

Myra was shocked with his sudden move, his hot and eager lips were pressed against her. She looked at him who had just closed his eyes while his hands were enveloping her in his embrace, near to his heart.

That was so different from any of the kisses they had shared till today. They were never this hot and burning. But right now Neil was making her feel so special that she was lost in his demanding lips and clever hands which were busy playing with her hairs.

Myra stayed still and let him dominate in their moment. Neil broke their kiss in the need of air.

"Ohh god... you are so precious to me, my nightingale." He had cupped her face in his palms. His face was just an inch away from her. She could fill his hot breath again on her lips.

He pulled her face to keep his lips on her forehead. "My nightingale."

"Neil?" Myra was still clueless about the sudden passionate moment.

"I can't thank my god enough for sending you into my life. You have become my reason for existence." He confessed staring in her eyes.

"And I can't thank my dear husband enough for this lovely life." She kissed his nose tip.

Neil slightly bent down and encircled his one arm around her waist and other under her knees carrying her in bridal style.

"Neil what are you doing?" Myra shrieked, clutching his shirt in her fist.

"I really need to tell you how precious you are precious to me." He brushed his nose tip with her nose tip.

"Neil, please leave me. Somebody will see us." She started throwing her legs.

"I don't care. You are my wife." He replied carelessly, unaware of one pair of eyes looking at them fumingly.

Saying this he again bent down to pull her in their next round of passionate kiss.

Both came back to their room, and Neil made her lay on the bed while he himself hovered above her. His one hand was curled in her hair on the back of her head while the other was dipped on the mattress.

Peppering small pecks on her lower lip, he brushed his lips over her cheeks, neck, collarbone not leaving a single spot. He was sucking, biting and kissing whatever sensitive skin he got in a way. Myra arched her back in pleasure as many new sensations were hitting her, every time with new intensity.

"I love you Neil." She mourned with those three beautiful words.

"Say it again." He demanded caressing her cheeks with the back of his fingers.

"I love you Neil."

"I am falling for you Myra... And I believe you won't have to wait too much now. I am just waiting for the right time." he confessed honestly.

"Neil?" tears started welling up in her eyes with expectations.

He kissed her forehead before laying back on his back and pulling her in his embrace.

Myra pushed herself to slip in her dreamland with her husband.

Here inside the room, Meera was pacing inside her room with a boiling heart. Meera was a self centred, stubborn and reckless girl. She had never listened to 'no' in her life. Each passing moment was dissolving the bubble she had created in her delusional mind.

Few days back when Neil came to meet her outside of a Vegas strip club as per her plan; she was under the impression that even after her walk away from their marriage her ex-husband would have a soft corner for her in his heart. His agreement to let her live in his house was the first step of her success towards her luxurious life.

Her plan was clear, within just one month of their agreement period she had to revive that facade of love by refreshing all those old memories trapping her ex-husband once again in her clutches. On the last day, she saw a rift between Myra and Neil about her unexpected arrival. She had thought she had one half of the battle but from morning, every passing moment was acting as a reality check for her.

Her ex-Husband was totally trapped under the clutches of her twin. Not only her ex-husband but his family as well. Her hands were aching to strangle her own blood but she knew as of now it was not possible. Her twin has gained upper hand over her way more than her expectations. If she wanted her older position as Neil's wife and Singhania's daughter in law then she needed to act rationally and calmly. Being impulsive would only bring harm to her. Right now she was at the loss as she was the one who had left her loving husband and luxurious life in the name of her freedom but soon she would be creating such circumstances and situations that either Neil himself would throw her sister out or her sister would walk away from her ex- husband.

Meera closed her eyes, convincing her mind and raging heart.... 'Just 28 days, and I will be crowned as the queen of this house.'
