Elio was like, “I can reheat it for you if you'd like.”

“It’s okay, it’s still a bit warm.” Astrid sat down to eat, but before she could finish, Roman sent a video call. She answered and was immediately met with Roman’s sobs, “Mom!!! Mom!!!”

“What’s wrong, Roman?” Astrid was taken aback, “Sweetie, what happened?”

Elio instantly became tense as well. But then he realized that if something truly bad had happened, Roman probably wouldn't be able to make a video call.

Roman said, “Grandma’s not home, the cook is on leave, and the food grandpa cooked is killing me!”

“Grandpa is so scary. He made a dish with a whole bottle of soy sauce and vinegar, and he forced me to eat it, he said vinegar is good for health!”

Upon hearing this, Astrid and Elio couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

On the other end of the video, Roman was crying so hard he was gasping for breath, “Mom, am I still your favorite? I’m so pitiful, and you, you, you are laughing...”
