Chapter 12

Lovingly Divorced

The drive down the pavement to Henry's house leaves me gaping. No, this isn't a house. It's a fucking mansion. The building is painted cream with a red roof top. There is a waterfall in the middle of the pavement and palm trees littered around.

"Wow." I say in utter admiration at the estate. I have seen a ton of luxurious mansions in my life but I will have to admit, this is at the top of my list right now.

Soon, the car pulls into the slanted curb opposite the wooden double entrance doors. Henry alights the limo first before stretching his hand in which I gracefully accept before getting out of the car.

We walk into the house and I can't help but pause for a moment in the foyer and take it all. "This place is really beautiful, Henry." I tell him genuinely with a smile.

"I'm glad you like it. Come, we have so much to do." He says with a relaxed smile as he takes a firm hold of my hand.

"Like what?" I ask him, walking up the wide staircase.

"Well, first, I'm sure you'd like to take a shower after our long flight. Then, you have a spa appointment, then a hair and make up appointment, and then, we will have dinner. Jasmine will accompany you throughout everything and once you return, a dress will be waiting for you in our room."

"Who is Jasmine?" I ask him with a confused frown as we walk into a massive room with a king size bed in the middle of the mostly empty space. In front of the bed is a balcony which is closed with glass doors.

"Sort of your assistant for the duration of our stay here. If you need anything in my absence, you just tell her, okay?" Henry says in a slightly stern voice.

I nod my head with a small roll of my eyes at his authoritative tone.

"Good. Now let me take my leave before I throw you on that bed and have my wicked way with you." He tells me with a smirk.

"I wouldn't mind." I confess as I unconsciously bite my lower lip, my body getting hot at just the thought of him doing whatever he had in mind. At the small action, Henry's eyes darken and he looks like he's having quite a struggle trying to control himself.

"Tonight, mi amor." He assures me as he pulls me close by the waist to place a firm chaste kiss on my lips before reluctantly leaving the room.

Once I hear the click of the door, I collapse on the bed with a wistful sigh.

Is this real? I mentally ask myself. I feel like any minute now, I will be awakened by Jason or Jamie on my bed back home in Atlanta to my annoyance, because if this is really a dream, I never want to wake up.

Before the involvement of Lorraine in Henry and I's divorce this was all I ever wanted. To be with him in a remote place and make love non stop. But then a week ago that thought wasn't in my mind anymore. Rather, I resented him for ever believing her lies. Now, those former wants that I had dreamt about are a reality and I'm not sure how I am supposed to feel.

For now, I decide to not feel, just live. I decide to allow myself live my fantasy and hope it extends into Monday when we will be back in Atlanta.

With that resolve firm in my mind, I walk to the balcony and open the glass doors. Immediately, salty fresh air assaults my nostrils as I look onto the beach before me. This fills me with content.

I quickly go and take a bath as Henry instructed and I am surprised to see in the shower all the brands of bath foam that I prefer lined up, along with my favored brand of shampoo. How he remembered that after so many years is a wonder.

After taking a shower and handling my hygiene, I wear a white robe and walk out into the room where my bags are already waiting for me. I decide to wear a blue tank top and denim shorts with a loose fitting beach dress over it. After that is done, I wear a simple brown sandal. I don't wear make up since I figure that will be taken care of later.

As soon as I walk out of the room, I see a young lady standing near the stairs, her attention on her phone which she's tapping away at furiously. I pause at the door and use her ignorance at my presence to study her. She is dressed in casual slacks and a white chiffon top. She has a young face and a delicate beauty to her and I figure she should be in her early twenties. Her dark brown hair is woven in an intricate way around the back of her head. She's simply beautiful. Finally, I close the door shut, taking her attention away from the device in her hands. She immediately looks up at me and shoots me a dazzling smile before approaching me with short strides.

"You must be Miss Freeman." She says with an outstretched hand.

"Please, call me Sandy." I tell her as we shake hands. She has a firm grip for someone who looks so delicate. "And you must be Jasmine."

"Yes, ma- I mean, Sandy." She immediately corrects herself looking a bit flustered. "Might I say you are really beautiful. Henry's words didn't do you any justice and that's saying a lot with the amount of praises he sings in your favor." She says with a wide grin.

I feel a faint blush paint my cheeks at the unexpected compliment. "Thank you."

"Come now, we have a long day ahead and Bianca is already waiting for us." She says as she begins walking down the long stairs.

"Who is Bianca?" I ask her, trying to keep up with her long and quick strides.

"My girlfriend." She says as she pauses in her steps. "I hope you don't mind. Henry thought you'd appreciate the female company."

"I don't mind at all." I assure her with a grin.

Señorita- Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello.

Jasmine and Bianca were actually fun to be around. They complimented each other's personality quite well with Jasmine being outspoken and daring, while Bianca is a bit quiet and level headed. She didn't speak a lot but when she did she dropped funny remarks.

Five hours after leaving Henry's mansion, I had been waxed thoroughly, received a full body massage, a manicure and a pedicure and had my hair and make up done to perfection.

By the time we are done with it all, it's dark out and Jasmine drives me back to Henry's mansion.

"Thanks, guys." I tell them as I get out of the car. "I had the best time."

"You're welcome and we did too." Jasmine says with a grin.

"See you around, Sandy." Bianca says with a wave as the car drives off.

I wave back before walking into the house. Everywhere is quiet so I quickly go to the room. to get dressed. Everything is the same as I left it except for the presence of a box sitting in the middle of the bed. I walk to it to find a black box with the Versace logo on it.

I am immediately excited to try on the dress so quickly do so, the silk clothe easily sliding on my body. After getting ready I look myself in the mirror, almost unable to recognize the woman staring back at me. My eyes are bright and clear. I look the happiest I have in a long time. Although, I'm a bit puzzled at the absence of shoes.

I hear my phone ping so I immediately go to it hoping it's Henry. It is.

Henry:

It's time, mi amor.

At those words, I feel my heart race a bit faster. Suddenly, I feel like that teenage girl I was when I had my first date with Henry. And, boy, was I a mess.

I let out a shaky breath. You've got this, Sandy. You're a grown independent woman. You can do this.

Sandy:

No shoes?

I text him back.

Henry:

No.

After that, I drop my phone back on the bed and I carefully walk out of the room and to the top of the staircase. Looking down I notice rose petals littered on the steps that weren't there before.

As I walk further down, I notice that these petals are forming a path so I follow it. It leads me outside to the patio and then the beach.

There, a well laid table is situated and on both sides are two white lounge chairs. One is occupied by none other than a dashingly handsome Henry. At my presence, he stands up. He takes in a sharp breathe before uttering a low, "Wow."

He clears his throat to collect himself, it seems. "You look absolutely amazing."

"You don't look so bad yourself, Mr Wallace." I tell him with a wide grin.

He walks over to pull out my chair like a true gentleman and waits for me to be sitted before he goes to do the same.

"I remember you once saying that you had never had a date on the beach before so I hope you like this." He says with a slightly nervous look on his face as he scratches the stubble on his sharp jaw.

"Like it? I love it, Henry." I tell him dazed as I look at the ocean before us creating a certain serenity and a relaxed vibe. Something comes to my mind though. "How do you even remember me saying that? I'm pretty sure that was years ago."

"I remember everything related to you, mi amor, everything." He replies, the honesty in his tone evident as his eyes lay intently on mine. I feel trapped under his intense gaze suddenly I feel heat light up in my core.

Our brief stare session is broken by the presence of the Chef who places our food before us along with his sous chef. "You have before you, Sir and madame, pâtés aux crevettes cajun. Also known as Cajun shrimp pasta. Bon appetit." He says with a grin, his thick French accent highly pronounced.

Once they leave, we dig in and at the taste of the shrimp I can't help the soft moan that I let out. "This is amazing." I say in bliss.

"It sure seems so." Henry says. I look up at him to find his eyes on me. I can see the storm brewing within them that tells me that he'd rather skip this course all together and get right down to dessert.

I have to force myself to look away from him and into the ocean. "It seems almost disrespectful eating seafood this close to the sea. I feel like the other animals are watching us eat one of their own." I say trying to lighten the mood. It works as he lets out a deep chuckle.

"Only you would think so." He tells me before taking a bite of his food.

For the rest of our dinner, we talk of light funny topics, not wanting to delve into anything that would spoil the good mood we had. Finally, we are done and someone comes out to take our plates.

Henry stands up and gives me his hand. "Let's go take a walk."

I immediately accept it and stand up with his help. We walk down the beach, my feet sinking into the sad underneath it, comforting to me.

"I wish we didn't have to leave. Ever." I say as I look up at him with a grin. "We could just fly Jamie and Jason out here and live."

"That would be bliss." He says with a content grin. "And we'd raise all our five children here too." He says casually.

"Five?" I ask in shock before letting out a laugh. "No way."

"Why not? I want to have as many children as I can with you." Henry tells me as we halt in our steps. His hand settles on my stomach. "I want you to always be barefoot and pregnant with my seed." He says before leaning down to my ear and adding lowly, "And after all the things I plan to do to you tonight, you will be." He informs me as his lips descend on mine roughly.

Somehow at some point, we transported ourselves from the beach to our room. It was all a blur in my mind. One minute we were kissing on the sand and the next I was stripping for him in our bedroom, his intense grey eyes on me as he sat on the edge of the bed, the breeze from the ocean fanning me from behind.

Slowly, I remove the thin shoulder straps of the dress before taking it off completely with a gentle sway of my hips, the silk smoothly slipping down my body. Henry's eyes are glued on me, watching my every move like a hunter does his prey before attacking. His eyes on me causes goosebumps to litter across my skin but I force myself to continue with my slow dance of torture.

Underneath the dress I have nothing on and as it falls to a puddle at my feet, I hear Henry's sharp intake of breathe. I didn't feel the need to wear lingerie tonight. After all, it would have been destroy anyway if the hunger in Henry's eyes are anything to go by.

I walk to him slowly and step between his open legs. His hands encircle my slender waist as I feel his mouth attach itself to my right nipple. At the feel of his hot mouth encircling and suckling my heavy bosom in, I'm a goner.

Before I know it, Henry has me rigorously immersed in a world of pleasure and it isn't until hours later and several rounds that I can even catch my breathe.

He is even more insatiable than I remember and I mention this to him. He replies with a soft chuckle as his hands hold on to mine, our fingers tightly intertwined. My head is rested against his hard chest as we both inhale deeply, our bodies sated.

I feel a gentle kiss on my temple as he moves his body to sit a bit more upright with me still resting against him. I look up into his grey orbs as he begins speaking. "I love you so much, Sandy." He tells me as his eyes stare into mine. It felt almost as if he were staring into my soul. "And I don't know what I would have done if you never forgave me." He says with a shake of his head as he looks down at our intertwined hands.

I peck his lips softly. "I love you too, and as long as we don't listen to the opinions of third parties and always talk about our problems, I think we will be good. Just promise me, Henry."

"I promise." He says as he moves in to give me a proper kiss once more.

I pull away and reposition myself so I am straddling him. "Now, we have four years to-"

He cuts me off with a firm kiss on my lips, his fingers digging into my hips. "Say no more." And he moves in for the kill.
