Chapter 30
Mafia's innocent girl
Abhinay pov
After having my lunch with Vinay and Viraj, I send them out of the mansion. Mother was already taking the afternoon nap in her room. So that means, I could have all the time in the world to spend with my future wife.
Tara.. sigh..
This girl was something else. Since the time she had stepped into my room, she had caused nothing but a havoc in my life.
She was the first girl to show me this attitude. Her egoistic and stubborn nature was something that I could not even tolerate. And now this nature of her was taking a toll on me.
I could not risk myself to get expose. For that I have to marry her as soon as possible and scare her off so much that she won't be able to open her mouth anytime soon. And I would be able to keep my eyes on her.
I entered my room to find Tara on my bed. She was rapidly blinking her eyes, indicating that now she was going to get awake.
Atlast she opened her eyes. That brought a smirk on my face. Now is the time to show her the real me.
As she was struggling to get up from her laying position. I brought the nearby chair and placed it beside the bed, right in front of her and sat on it.
Her gaze snapped, she looked at me horrified. Her eyes were clearly showing that she was not expecting me as soon as she would wake up.
"So you passed out huh ! Are you that afraid of me?" I asked her with a smirk on my face. Evilness again ran through my blood as I was thinking all the punishments I could give to her.
" I want to go from here. You are the devil. I will not live here. You are bad. I want to go to my Vimla Masi. Just go away." She snapped with tear filled eyes.
Her emotions were everywhere. She again started to struggle to get off the bed.
" Stay where you are and don't struggle!" I commanded.
Her struggling stopped.
I smirked, " You don't want to marry me? Huh ! But dear, do you know how much havoc you have caused in my life? How much you have made me struggled? We are engaged, even then you tried to ran away from me. Was it a way to behave with your future husband and future in laws?"
My smirk wiped off my face as now I was glaring her with heated gaze.
She flinched. Ofcourse! She knew whatever she did was very wrong.
" Do you even realise a bit that this cowardly act of yours would have brought us a huge shame around the world once the news of you running away would be out taking rounds in the media? I would be a laughing stock, not only in my own country but also in the underworld if media even comes to realise that you tried to ran away. And you just ran off like that ! How did you even dare ?"
I clenched my fist as I asked her with gritted teeth. Anger was getting the best of me but still I tried to keep myself calm for her sake, and so I asked her in a eerily calm voice with as much as I could mustered.
She was looking at me with a glare. Her fear, like always, got dispersed in thin air.
" What do you think of yourself devil? You are not going to hold me down. Vimla masi told me that if I feel that something is going wrong then I should go to the police station. So let me leave. I will go and complain about you to the police. "
I chuckled. Not just chuckled, I was laughing out loud. Hearing her words made me so badly laugh that I just couldn't control myself. She was still in her fairyworld.
Either she is gullible or she was trying in vain to show me her fake gullible self.
" Do you know you act so well. Why don't you try in bollywood? You think your fake act would get me to pity you. Either you are so stupid or you are very clever. What did you think I would leave you after you just ran away? Huh ! Forget about you just like that? No dear! You are living in your dreams and I would suggest you to come out of your la la land. Because your biggest fear are going to turn true." I finished my words with a bitter laugh that I am sure could send a chill down anyone's spine.
Though she tried to glare at me but I could clearly see her shivering form. Fear which I love to see in my victim's eyes, it was crystal clear in her doe like eyes.
" It's time for you to rest. Maid will bring you food. After eating your food just go back to sleep. And make sure you sleep well." I smirked and stood up from my chair.
As I turned around, I slipped my both hands into my jeans pocket and started walking towards the room. But soon stopped by her feeble voice.
" Why- Why I need to sleep well?"
I smirked. Without turning around I announced, " Darling! We are going to get married tomorrow."
I heard her faint gasp but ignoring her shocked persona, I continued, "And I expect you no more force and no more struggle from your side or else..." I left my words hanging in the air as I walked out of my room.

At the orphanage
Vimla pov
"Tara ran away!" Sheela replied with the attitude like it was a small thing. But her gaze was not meeting me as she tried to look at anywhere but me.
I was shocked. I couldn't comprehend what she just said. What does she even mean by that Tara ran away ? She could never run away. She loved me and the other kids in this orphanage. Her love for the orphanage was so much that she didn't even want to leave us. Sure Sheela was trying to lie here, just like always.
" Sheela, I know it very well that you are telling a lie. Tell me where is Tara. And why are you not meeting my gaze? Look at me and answer my question. Where is Tara?" I asked her with utter seriousness.
" Vimla, I am not telling a lie. She ran away. Far away from here. And to be honest, I don't even care about her. She was nothing but a burden on this orphanage. We were just spending too much money on her. It is for our own good that she ran away. We don't even have to spend so much money on her dowry as well. Is it not the good thing for us?" Sheela replied, her face showing that she was not even a bit bothered of whatever she was saying.
"SHUT UP SHEELA!!" I shouted angrily. I was not the type of woman who would lose her temper, but it was impossible for me to control my anger.
She flinched. But shifted her gaze to somewhere else, no longer wanted to meet my gaze.
"How could you even say something like that? She is the daughter of this orphanage. I will not tolerate you to disrespect her. How dare you insult her like that? Tell me where is Tara!" I yelled at her yet again.
The cheerful mood I had earlier when I saw my kids of this orphanage, had now suddenly turned into a sour mood. I know she was hiding something else. She was not telling me the truth.
Suddenly Sheela looked behind me and frowned. Looking for the source of this disturbance I turned behind, only to find Preety, a cute little girl who greeted me when I reached at the gate of this orphanage, was watching us with worrisome gaze. She hide a little behind door of the room and looked at me with her wide eyes.
I heaved a sigh. It is not good for the kid to have a disturbed environment. And I will not allow any kid to have fear and stress due to our small arguments.
" Preety dear! What are you doing here? " I asked as I started walking towards her. After I reached her, I crouched down and caressed her soft cheeks with my right hand, looking at her twinkling gaze with a smile.
"You were shouting Masi." She said in her cute voice.
I smiled. She was this cute little girl I could never get myself enough of her.
" Preety I was just talking about something else with your Sheela aunty. I hope I have not get you disturbed. Well, lets drop this topic. See, I told you I have brought so many things for you. But first it is time for us to have our lunch. Isn't it?"
" Yes maasi !" She smiled sweetly at me.
I stood up from my crouched position. Holding her small hand, I turned around and warned Sheela with my eyes as I said,
" This topic is not the end Sheela. We will talk about it later." With that I walked away from the room, holding Preety's small hand towards the dining table which was placed in the courtyard.

" Show me the red bridal dress. " I ordered the salesman.
Red is considered to be auspicious in the hindu culture. My mother wanted me to get a red bridal dress for my bride before all those shit happened when she dared to run away.
I had not informed her that I was here with one of the best known shop to collect a bridal dress for my future bride.
Earlier I was not in the mood of rushing this marriage. But now Tara had forced me to get this over it soon. Never in my wildest dream had I thought that I would be here, purchasing the best bridal dress for my bride and that too for a tomorrow's wedding planned so suddenly.
Yes ! Tomorrow I would get married but it would not be any grand wedding like everyone was dreaming about some two days back.
I was here with Vinay and Viraj, looking over a wide range of red bridal designer dresses. I was sure these two fools would get me the correct choice of bridal dress.
" Abhi.. I think this dress will look good on Tara." Viraj said, breaking the trance of my thoughts.
" Hmm..." I hummed as I gave a look over to the dress. It was a pretty dress. Tara would look great in it. No more wanting to waste my time over making a choice on the dress, I agreed to him.
" It's good Viraj." I said and then turned around to Vinay," Vinay! what do you think of this dress !?"
" It's nice Abhi. But don't you think you are doing wrong!." Again he started lecturing me. He was reluctant with my decision from the start. And now it was getting on my nerves.
" Just tell me your remarks over this dress. I don't want you lecturing me unnecessory." I said in a cold voice.
He sighed.
" You never learn, do you? If you are not agreeing with me then it is okay. I don't need your instructions. " I told him coldly.
"You are going to regret it Abhi. I am warning you, you are going to regret it badly." He said solemnly.
" Have you read the files I had given you yesterday? I believe you are prepare with your presentation for tomorrow's meeting."
" Don't worry Abhi. I have already completed the task you gave me earlier. But what I want to say is that, you are going to regret doing whatever you are going to do." He told me grimly and just like that, walked away from the place.

*In the morning*
At the Mansion
" Son, I am going out for a whole day. I will reach home at evening. Today is the most important pooja priest is going to do for us at the temple. My presence in the pooja is necessory. Do you know why I am holding this pooja?" My mother asked ne with a raised eyebrow. She was looking at me straight with her pursed lips.
" No mother. And to be frank, I don't even want to know." I replied in ignorance.
" This pooja is going to maintain the peace of this house." She answered her own question in a curt voice.
I gulped.
" You know Abhinay! This house is lacking in peace from quite a few days. I hope this pooja will get our Tara to be fit and fine. So that once she gets healthy I will myself send her away from this mansion. Then she would be able to live her life in peace and we would also be able to live our life in peace." She finished. Then, she turned around and walked out of the entry door of our home.
Her words made me feel guilty. Once again regret like feeling emerged in my heart.
Because what I am going to do today is not something my mom would ever appreciate. I am sure of that.
