The same day in the evening, I just sluggishly laid on the center of my bed, looking at the ceiling. The idea of becoming a wife of the billionaire at the age of eighteen was like a bundle of nerves for me. I was not sure what was more saddening for me, the fact that I was now married to the man who thought of me as a despicable being or the fact that Hobsons were going to lock me in their house and monitor my actions. They would treat me as a criminal.

Which one was the most severe and frightful for me? I kept thinking and couldn't make up my mind to listen to Matt's order. Although he asked me to shift to his house by tonight, but I was still at my rental apartment and remained torpefied.

The sudden knock on my door made me jump out of my skin. I sat up and glanced at the door. Maybe Matt had sent his man now to take me to his house. With the rapid heartbeats, I stood up from my bed and reached to the door when I heard another knock there.

I opened it. A young, good-looking man in formal outfit was standing there with his hands in his pockets, "Hi. I'm Aaron. Matt Hobsons sent me to escort you to his house."

My mouth went dry. That old man wanted to continue afflicting me. He was keeping his words. He was not sending me to prison, but would imprison me in his own house. "Miss Frances, I'll appreciate if you cooperate with me otherwise I was told to use force if it's necessary." He said flatly.

He was not a scary bodyguard, but his reasons of standing at my doorway were frightening. I couldn't respond to him because I was thinking what I should do. I couldn't fight against that family, but I couldn't let them do anything they wanted. Whatever they were doing was illegal.

Aaron titled his head to look into my house, "You haven't packed your belongings yet. Let me help you." He moved his foot to step inside, but I instantly blocked his way by coming in front.

"Don't." I said in a brittle voice, "I'll do it. You stay outside."

I was saved from going to jail, but Hobsons had thought to punish me in a different way. I guess that's how I was going to bear the consequences of my stupidity.

He pulled in his lower lip and gave me a nod, stepping back, "Okay. By the way, you need to hand over your phone to me."

"Excuse me?"

He closed his dark eyes momentarily in irritation then explained, "Your phone will be with me from now. If you'll get any call or text, I'll let you know or if you want to contact anyone, let me know. You'll get your phone for five minutes. Your time can be increased depending on whom you're calling."

"What?" I snapped, contorting my face in fury.

I can't believe this. What they would gain by confiscating my phone? It's not like I had secret messages in my device against them.

"Don't think that I'm saying all this on my own. I've got instructions from Matt." He said further.

I tightened my jaws, suppressing the rising anger in me. It was so humiliating. They would now intrude in my privacy as well.

"So, will you?"

"Huh?"

He gave me an exasperating look. This time he entered in my house without asking my permission and started looking around. His gaze caught my phone that was placed on the bedside.

"Stop it." I yelled. He ignored me and took my phone.

"You can't just take someone's phone." I cried.

"Miss Frances, I asked you to cooperate. I'm going to wait outside your house for fifteen minutes. If you won't be out by then, I'll come again and will take you to the mansion in my own way and it's not going to be polite." He warned and then walked out of the room.

I buried my face in my palms and blubbered. This was kidnapping. I couldn't even file a complaint against them because it would disclose my scam ultimately. Just when I thought I was progressing with my life goals, that brutal family was taking away my things. I had to now leave this apartment. I didn't know for how long they would keep me there and how they would treat me. What kind of life was waiting for me there?

💙

"This is going to be your room from now on." I stood with Aaron in front of the room. I was on the second floor of the mansion. After I heard him, I hesitantly angled my neck to get a glimpse of the room.

My jaw dropped when I noticed the interiors and space of it. The room was large, very large, a kind of expensive suite of some five-star hotel. It had a king-sized bed that was surrounded by silky, see through, ice blue curtains. The walls were decorated with the light, mint green and aqua striped wallpapers. The elegant furniture, dark wooden floor and the full-sized window was overwhelming.

"No." I shook my head, "I can't take this room. It's too much. The simple and small room would be enough for me."

I had never slept on a king-sized bed. At orphanage, they had single-sized and small beds and we had to adjust with it, no matter if its size was not good enough. Even in the rental apartment, I had a single-sized bed.

Aaron chuckled as if I told him a joke, "You're not in a hotel, Miss Frances. Matt. Hobsons selected this room for you."

I glowered at me. He was acting like a robot as if Matt had programmed him to speak what he wanted him to. All of this family and the people related to them were so rude and arrogant.

"Now listen carefully." The red-haired guy spoke, "You're not allowed to step a foot outside this mansion. If there would be any emergency, you need to take permission from Matt. Hobsons or Ashar. When your college will start, I'll take you there and I'll bring you back home. Moreover, my eyes are always on you as it's my duty. Most of the time, I'll be standing outside of this room so in case, if you need your phone, you can ask me. Or, if you'll have any query, I'll be assisting you till your stay here. Any question, Miss Frances?"

"Sanaya." I said with a blank face, "Call me Sanaya."

The indignation inflamed in me, but I suppressed it because it was futile to argue with this robotic bodyguard of Matt. But, after hearing him I could understand that Hobsons had already decided everything and would force me to obey them like a good kid.

"Alright then, Sanaya. I think you have no query. Good night." Aaron went inside the room and put my leather bag there. He came out and started walking away, but I stopped him, "Where is Samara's room?"

He paused for a moment before saying, "Fourth room from here."

Samara had to give some explanations for her selfish behavior. She was the main culprit behind all this. She spoiled my image in Hobsons' mind when she could easily bring me out of this mayhem. After meeting with Samara, I would try to talk to Ashar and make him see the full picture. I could not just stay here silently without trying to clear my name and prove my innocence.

Ashar had to know that I was also not interested in this marriage and would do anything to set myself free from this accidental marriage. I stood in front of Samara's room and knocked the door twice. When I heard her faint voice, I opened the door and went inside.

"So, you're finally here." Samara uttered. She was in the same room where she asked me to wear her wedding dress. All of this was started from this room. If I just wouldn't have came here on the wedding day, the family wouldn't have dragged me here again as a fraud.

I crossed my arms on my chest, "Yes. Now can you explain why are you doing this to me? I helped you without asking for any favor in return and that's how you're going to pay me back?"

She was in black night dress. Her hairs were cascading down her back. Her eyes looked tired and sad as if she didn't sleep for a day or two.

"Everyone is thinking that I'm some greedy girl who has taken that shortcut to get some money from them. Matt. Hobsons even doubting on me that I can be a spy of his enemies. They have confiscated my phone and even locked me here. You know everything. You know what they are thinking about me is not true. Neither I'm a spy nor I'm greedy." I felt impotent and angry at the same time.

She frowned, "You're facing all this because of carelessly signing the marriage documents. I can't help you, Sanaya. Don't you see? Ashar kicked me out of his room. Please stop bothering me. I need to a find solution for my own problems."

She sat down on her bed, grabbing her temples, "I will do anything to win back his trust even if I have to blame you for everything. I love Ashar."

I looked at her disbelievingly. I could never understand this woman. If she really loved him, then why she left him on the wedding day? She was not even slightest bit hesitant when she asked me to be his bride. She didn't care about Ashar at that time.

"You're so mean, Samara. Why are you using me to solve your problems? What about me?"

"Because," She stood up from the bed, "You're not going to lose anything. Hobsons will never charge you for fraud because it will spoil their reputation and Ashar could go to jail as well. I told you how much sensitive they are for their image. All you need to do is to just stay here comfortably until your divorce with Ashar."

She sighed miserably, "On the contrary, my Dad would lose his lifelong friend if I wouldn't be able to convince Hobsons. He'll have to give his shares back to Hobsons enterprise... I would lose Ashar and his family and I can't let that happen. All I can do for you is to try to get you a divorce as soon as possible and set you free. But..." She trailed off and looked at me with fearful eyes.

"But what?"

"But, I can't promise you anything. Your divorce can take some time, maybe, few months or more." She elaborated.

Months?

My face darkened. It means I would remain married to Ashar for months. It means I would be imprisoned in this mansion for months. Would I be able bear all of this that long, when I was already falling apart?

Black clouds loomed in front of my eyes, making everything around me spin. "No." My voice shook, "I can't bear this for months. I can't live like a criminal."

"There's no option." She responded.

I felt defeated. I guess this was the punishment Ashar talked about that night. That's how he planned his revenge for me, to trap me here and make me feel contemptuous every single day. He didn't get me arrested, but he actually planned to enslave me here in his own house and torture me.

"I shouldn't have listened to you. I shouldn't have became a part of your scam, Samara. You deteriorated everything in my life as well. I was such a fool to trust you. You just can't do this to me. Please help me get out of here." I implored, shivering in panic.

"Your whining will only make it worse." She seethed, "You'll increase your miseries if you won't cooperate with them. Let them do what they want to do. If you're clean then wait for them to see this. Once they'll be sure you'll be all free."

Puckering my lips, I tried to stop myself from breaking down in front of her. Her words were only increasing my apprehension. A lump in my throat made it difficult for me to breath. "Can't you even tell me what was so important that you had to leave your own wedding? After all, it's because of your damn emergency that started everything. I think I deserved to know at least that much." I muttered a question.

She bobbed her head up and down, "Okay, listen."
