“You can always draw later, but you have to eat first! This is non–negotiable. If you refuse, I’m not going to tutor you anymore.”

Clara had no choice but to put down her pen, “Fine! But let’s not go too far, I don’t have much of an appetite anyway. A little bit of food will do.”

“How could you do that? You can’t neglect your health because of work. What if you collapse by the time the design is finished? We’re only on our first project together. How can I trust you with the design if you’re like this? Rather than a design, I’d much prefer a healthy wife! My kids also need a healthy, mother to take care of them.”

“I can’t argue with that. Clara had to give in, “Can I bring my sketch with me then? I can think while eating.”

“No way! Just focus on eating”

Clara pouted.

“Let’s go.” Emmett was ready to pull her out.

Clara quickly grabbed him, “Wait, we can’t go together! You go first, wait for me in the underground parking lot. I’ll be right down.”

“…Who are you worried will see us?”

“I don’t want the others in the office to see us!” Clara didn’t want to become the topic of office gossip during break time.

“Isn’t our relationship going to be made public sooner or later?” Emmett frowned, “Or do you want to keep our marriage secret forever?”

Clara thought for a moment, “Aren’t I working hard to prove that I’m worthy of you? Once I have some skills, people won’t look down on me anymore Then we can announce our relationship, right? That would be good for our company too. Think about it, if you married a wife who has contributed nothing to the company, even if the shareholders don’t say anything, they won’t be pleased! But if I become an important figure in the design department, what can they say then, right?”
