Halka sa hi aaya hai abhi chaahat ka asar ✨

Aashi opened her eyes to the shrill voice of her mobile's alarm. She let out a groan and turned her phone off. She rubbed her eyes with her palms and tried to welcome more awareness in her conscious.

She was about to pull herself off the bed when she realised something was placed on her, restricting her movement. Looking down, she saw Armaan's hand tightly wrapped around her waist.

She turned in his arms and now was lying face-to-face with her husband. She was about to wake him up when the pure innocence on his face made her involuntarily stop. He looked so at peace. He looked so cute.

Aashi mentally giggled at how she finds the same man cute who inculcates fear in thousands of his workers.

Armaan Oberoi's personality is anything but cute. He's feared by his opponents and respected by his employees. He's strict and straightforward while in his business mode.

Aashi took this time to study his face. Sharp jaw, high cheekbones, a five o'clock shadow adoring his face. His eyebrows were full and properly shaped. His pink full lips were lightly parted and the kiss that they shared last night made it's way to her mind again.

"Morning Mrs. Oberoi." Armaan's husky morning voice said, successfully sending a shiver down Aashi's spine.

Aashi blushed at what he just called her. She felt oddly nice at being called that. It felt good to acknowledge their new relationship status.

"Good morning." Aashi said in a soft voice. Armaan bought his hand up to Aashi's face, caressing it.

"It indeed is." Armaan said and placed a quick kiss on Aashi's cheek. Her lips couldn't help but curve in a smile.

"What's the time?" Armaan asked.

"6:30." Aashi replied as she turned around, her back facing his chest.

"I'll shower first." Aashi said and tried getting up when Armaan once again wrapped his arm around her stomach and pulled her to his chest.

"Not so fast, darling." Armaan said and didn't waste a second in placing his lips on hers. He cupped her face and moved his lips against hers. Aashi slowly entangled her hands in his hair and kissed him back.

Armaan pulled back for letting Aashi catch a breath and was about to kiss her back when Aashi clamped a hand on his mouth.

"Maan..." Aashi whined as her blush deepened.

"Ji? Farmaiye, Biwi Sahiba." Armaan said as he placed a small kiss on her neck.

Yes? Say, Madam Wifey.

"Morning breath." Aashi said and tried to get up from the bed. This time Armaan let her go, staring at her retreating figure.

Aashi quickly took a bath and wrapped a towel around herself. She found a box on her vanity which was sent by her mother-in-law. She opened it and found a deep blue coloured sequence dress with golden prints. The box also contained a pair of cigarette pants of the same print and a matching dupatta.

She smiled at how simple yet stunning the dress was. She quickly changed into it and admired how it gave a heavy look despite being very light on the skin. She curled the loose ends of her hair and put on some light makeup. She picked up her Mangalsutra from the vanity table and clipped it around her neck. She was about to pick up the vermillion box when Armaan knocked and entered the vanity area.

"Gorgeous." Armaan didn't realise when the praise left his lips. His wife was looking nothing less than a goddess. Her dress, her face, her hair, her makeup, her style, everything was on point.

Aashi smiled hearing what her husband just called her.

"Thank you. You look handsome too." Aashi returned the compliment although she realised it didn't do justice to him. He was wearing a white kurta set and effortlessly pulling it off.

"Here." Armaan said as he picked up the vermillion box and opened it. He pinched some of the maroon powder between his thumb and index finger, applying a small amount of it in Aashi's parted hairline.

"Perfect." Armaan remarked after keeping the box on the vanity table and holding his wife's both hands.

Aashi blushed a bit at his compliment and gave him a shy smile. Armaan held Aashi's chin between his fingers and brought his face closer to hers.

"Absolutely perfect." He said before capturing her lips with his for a sweet kiss.

"You don't need to do anything. We all usually have just a cup of tea before 7:30. The breakfast time is around 8:30." Mrs. Oberoi said as she passed the jug of milk to Aashi.

"I'll make the tea and cook the breakfast later on. You go and sit with Dad." Aashi said as she practically gave her mother-in-law a friendly push, encouraging her to go outside the kitchen.

"You don't need to do all that. Just make a sweet dish today since it's your first day in your marital home." Mrs. Oberoi said but Aashi shook her head negative.

"You've said it yourself. It's my first day in my marital home. I'm gonna cook breakfast for everyone. Aap bahar jaa kar aaram se baithe." Aashi said in a tone which left no room for arguments.

You go outside and relax.

"24 ghante hue nahi Armaan ki biwi bane aur abhi se order dena shuru. Uske saath rehkar bigad mat jana, meri bacchi." Mrs. Oberoi joked and a chuckle left Aashi's mouth.

It hasn't even been 24 hours since you became Armaan's wife and you've already started giving orders. Don't get spoiled while staying with him, my child.

"Bilkul nahi." Aashi joked too before once again asking Mrs. Oberoi to sit outside.

Absolutely not.

"Hmm. We all take our tea with proper sugar." Mrs. Oberoi informed before finally exiting the kitchen.

Aashi found a pan in the second drawer that she opened. She counted 5 people who were to drink the tea and she thought to be safe, she decided on making 6 cups. She added water in the pan and switched on the gas and put the pan on the stove. She grated some ginger in and added mint to the pan. She let the water boil and searched for tea and sugar. Finding two jars of tea and sugar, she added couple teaspoons in the water. She pulled out the teapot and the tea set. She decided to search for the strainer next.

She was amidst the search when she felt a pair of strong hands wrap around her waist. She was pulled back to his chest and he rested his chin on her shoulder.

Armaan had an oddly satisfying feeling in his gut when he saw Aashi cooking in his mother's kitchen for the first time, that too as his wife. A small smile unknowingly graced his lips and he couldn't resist the urge to hold this beauty in his arms so he did just that.

"Tumhe kitchen mein yun dekh kar mujhe napaak khayal aa rahe hain yaar, Aashi. Tumne mujh par kya jaado kar diya hai? Mujhe tumhare liye paapi banna bhi manzoor hai." Armaan huskily whispered in her ears as he raked his nose up and down Aashi's neck's length. He placed a little kiss just below her ear and her face turned couple shades darker.

Seeing you in the kitchen like this is giving me impure thoughts, Aashi. What have you done to me? I'm even ready to be a sinner for you.

Aashi turned in his arms and snaked her arms around his neck. She bought his right hand to his face and cupped his cheek. She lightly grazed his light stubble and finally looked into his eyes.

"Mere liye aapke koi bhi irade napaak nahi ho sakte. Pati hain aap mere aur mujhe par poora haq hai aapka." Aashi said in a soft voice and Armaan couldn't help but give her a quick peck.

Any thoughts of yours for me could never be impure. You're my husband and you have all rights on me.

"Maan! Kitchen mein khade hain hum." Aashi said in a hushed yet scolding voice.

Maan! We're in the kitchen.

"Toh? Biwi ho meri. Kanooni taur par mujhe tumhe kiss karne ka haq hai. Hain na?" Armaan said with an cocked up eyebrow.

So? You're my wife. Legally I have all the rights to kiss you. Don't I?

"Aap hi ko hai." Aashi said and placed a kiss on Armaan's cheek. He smiled at his wife's words and kept his forehead against hers.

Only you do.

"Ahhmmm..." Aditi cleared her throat seeing the newly weds, romancing in the kitchen.

"Main baad mein aau?" Aditi teased with a smirk.

Shall I come later on?

"Kabab mein haddi." Armaan grumbled under his breath but both the ladies heard him.

Such a hindrance.

"Chai?" Aashi offered Aditi and she nodded.

Tea?

The tea had boiled to perfection by now and Aditi handed her the strainer. Aashi poured the tea in two cups and handed one to Armaan.

"I forgot my phone in my room. I'll just get it quickly." Aditi said and ran to her room.

Armaan, meanwhile, took a sip of the tea and resisted the urge to spit it. He ran his eyes on the kitchen platform and noticed how Aashi had added salt instead of sugar.

"How's it?" Aashi asked with hopeful eyes and Armaan bit his tongue, gulping down the salty tea.

"Delicious." Armaan smoothly lied with a smile on his face.

Aashi flashed a big smile at him and poured some tea in another cup. Before Armaan could stop her, she took a sip of the tea and spit it all out in a go.

"Yuck!" Aashi exclaimed at the tea she just made.

"Yeah. That's correct." Armaan said with a smile.

Aashi looked into Armaan's eyes with embarrassment.

"I'm sorry you had to drink that. The first thing I gave you as your wife and I messed it up." Aashi's anger on herself and embarrassment turned into tears which threatened to spill from her eyes.

"Shhh..." Armaan shushed her as he pulled her into a comforting hug.

"That's no true. Technically, the first thing you gave me as my wife was a kiss and I fucking loved it." Armaan flirted with his wife and Aashi couldn't help but chuckled at that.

"Language! Aap bilkul pagal hain, Armaan Sahab." Aashi commented as she wiped her tears and poured all the tea down the drain.

You're completely crazy, Armaan Sir.

"Sirf tumhare liye." Armaan said as he took a new pot and poured water in it to make another round of tea.

Only for you.

Aashi couldn't do anything but blush at his sleek comment.

Any thoughts on the kitchen romance? It was something I had already planned on writing and coincidentally it was a suggestion on the last chapter too. So, here we go.
