AFREEN

⚜️ Ho kahani meri, tarjuman ho tera,

Ho duaen teri, ser jhuka ho mera ⚜️

The sound of Mahira's alarm rang in their room. Rudransh groaned in annoyance and buried his face in her neck deeper. With sleep clouding both of their minds, neither of them turned it off.

"Fucking turn it off." Rudransh growled in her neck but she didn't move. He bit her exposed neck and earned a moan from her.

"Mahira!" He once again said and gave her another bite.

Mahira furrowed her eyebrows and lazily reached out for her phone before turning the alarm off.

"Good morning." She muttered as she felt her husband press wet kisses on her neck and chest.

"It is." He said as he hovered over her, looking up at her face and leaned down to place a kiss on her lips. She entangled her fingers in his hair and kissed him back with equal need.

"I hate your stupid alarm." Rudransh said as he bit her lower lip.

"I hate you." Mahira retorted as she pushed him off her. She then straddled him and grabbed his neck, leaning down to place another steamy kiss on his lips. Pulling away, she started kissing his neck and made sure to leave a mark at his collarbone.

"Get up. We have a meeting today." Mahira said and in an instance pulled away from him.

"I hate it when you tease me like that, baby." Rudransh complained but his wife didn't seem to care.

She pulled the sheets around her and walked into the bathroom, royally ignoring her needy husband.

It's been 6 months since they got officially married with all the customs and traditions. It was the most grand wedding of the country. The events, the party, the attendees, everything was the talk of the town for quite some time. Since both of them come from rich, powerful families, it made sense for them to be together, according to people.

Mahira gelled well with her new family. She bonded with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law on their similar dislike for her husband's attitude. The ladies love Rudransh but don't like him quite well. Her and Ayaan shared a passion for sports and that's what brought them closer. They're buddies now and watch almost all of their interested sports events together.

It's safe to say that the Rajvanshi family likes Mahira more than Rudransh. She never had any siblings growing up so getting to spend time with such a happy family made Mahira hate this alliance a lot less.

Talking about the couple, they didn't lose their banters and playful hatered towards each other even after stepping into this relationship. They're still very competitive, they argue on small things and the family very much enjoys their banters.

Their relation inside the bedroom was a completely different story. As much as they verbally hate each other, their bodies do not agree. They don't seem to be able to keep their hands off each other. They shared a passionate and fulfilling relationship in their bed. They were completely in love with each other's bodies and were very comfortable with one another in all terms.

"Do we absolutely have to go?" Rudransh lazily asked as he sat on the bed's edge and enjoyed a mild stretch.

"Yes!" He received an answer from his wife.

"Urgh, fine." He mumbled and got up, walking into their walk-in closet to get their clothes out.

Once she got out of the shower, he quickly entered the bathroom. Finishing her skin care, she got dressed in the clothes her husband chose for her. She did light makeup to her face and brushed her hair. As she finished getting ready, she saw Rudransh approaching her vanity, clipping his cufflinks on.

"Ready?" He asked and she nodded. Picking up her purse from the vanity she was about to leave when she felt him pull her back. He caged her in between himself and the vanity table, her back touching the edge of the table.

"Never forget this." He said as he picked her wedding ring up from the table and gently slid it on her finger. He placed a feather light kiss on the top of her hand before holding it and walking out of their room.

Mahira couldn't help but nod. She hated to admit it but she absolutely loved her wedding ring. She never thought she'd ever find a piece of jewellery quite as beautiful as her ring. According to Avantika, Rudransh himself designed it with the head jewellery designer at Luxe Lusture. It was a set of 4 rings with the main ring being a pear shaped 3 carat diamond. It was elegant and sophisticated, just what you'd think a jewellery heiress would wear.

The couple descended downstairs and greeted their family members who were waiting for them to commence breakfast.

"Good morning." Both of them greeted everyone and took their seat.

Rudransh's mother sat on the head of the table with her sons on either side of hers. Mahira sat next to her husband and Aishwarya sat next to Ayaan.

"Let's begin, shall we?" Avantika said and everyone nodded.

"Bhai at what time shall I come to the office?" Ayaan asked as he started eating. He was training to join the office under Rudransh.

"The meeting is at 11 so I expect you to be there before 9." Rudransh answered.

"Why two hours early? I'll be there at 10:30." Ayaan said.

"No. I need you to be prepared thoroughly since you'll be heading this meeting." Rudransh answered.

"What? Why me?" His younger brother questioned.

"I need to meet a client regarding our new venture." Rudransh said.

"What new venture?" Avantika asked.

"Umm actually ma, I'm planing to include Luxe Lusture in our group of companies." Rudransh answered.

"But it's Mahira's company. How can you take over?" She questioned.

"I'm not taking over, ma. It'll still be her company. I'll just be the co-owner." Rudransh answered.

"Are you okay with this?" Avantika asked Mahira.

"Actually ma, I was the one who suggested it. I'll still have all the decision making powers but joining hand with the mining company handled by the Rajvanshis would ensure me getting better quality diamonds and raw materials. It's beneficial for both the companies and this way the label stays in the family itself." Mahira explained her idea.

"Matlab ab aap dono saath kaam karenge?" Aishwarya asked.

That means you two will work together now?

"Roz nahi. Bas Luxe Lusture ke related areas mai saath kaam karenge." Mahira answered her sister-in-law.

Not everyday. Just in areas related to Luxe Lusture.

"Matlab ab office mei bhi kurukshetra hoga." Aishwarya commented and chuckled at her own joke.

That means the office will turn into a battlefield as well now.

"Konsa aisa pehli baar hoga." Ayaan added to her sister's comment, reminding every one of the incident that took place in Mahira's office last month.

Won't be the first time that'll happen.

Rudransh surprised Mahira with lunch and insisted on her cancelling all her meetings for the day and spend it with him. She had an important appointment which she couldn't cancel but her husband wasn't in the mood to take no for an answer. After a banter which lasted for almost 20 minutes, she practically threw him out of her office.

The three Rajvanshis at their house had the time of their life, laughing at the banter that followed the night this happened. Both for them argued like literal children at the dinner table.

"This is my wife, Mahira Rajvanshi." Rudransh introduced his wife to the three men who were already waiting for them at the hotel that they were meeting for brunch at.

It was a lovely day with sufficient amount of sunshine shining and gentle breeze blowing. The investor of the mining company, his assistant and another man who Mahira didn't recognise were the first ones to arrive and hence they chose this table.

"This is my son, he's planning on taking over the business in a couple of years." Mr. Mehta Sr. who was the investor, said as he introduced the third man sitting on the table.

Mahira gave him a cold stare as she noticed how dirtily he was looking at her. Rudransh noticed his eyes on his wife and possessiveness coursed through his veins. Mahira saw how he was on the brink of snapping at him so she held his fisted hand and gave it an assuring squeeze.

The couple took their seat in front of them and the conversation began. The man, Mr. Mehta jr. didn't quit staring at Mahira at all. His father and his assistant were acting so oblivious towards all that was happening that Mahira actually had to calm her anger with a glass of cold water.

Rudransh kept a hand on Mahira's thigh as he didn't break eye contact with Mr. Mehta Sr. Mahira covered her husband's hand with her own and continued ignoring the man's presence.

After what felt like a year, their meeting came to an end and Mr. Mehta Sr. signed the documents that were necessary. His assistant handed the files to Rudransh and after a quick farewell, the two of them took their leave. Mr. Mehta jr. was still there, very much staring at Mahira with lust filled eyes.

"Unless you want me to gouge those eyes out, quit staring at my wife." Rudransh threatened him, his voice turning deep and dark.

"Apologies but you are the most beautiful woman I've ever met, Mrs. Rajvanshi." He said and grabbed Mahira's free hand to place a kiss on the back of it. Mahira pulled her hand away in an instance not letting him place that kiss.

"Don't you dare touch me. Before me or my husband loose our calm, get out." Mahira said, controlling her urge to slap him.

Mr. Mehta jr. flashed her a wicked smile and mumbled, "Fiesty."

He then looked Rudransh in the eye and left before he could react. Mahira picked the documents from the table and started walking towards the parking.

"What was that?" Rudransh said as he walked behind her, grasped her arm and spun her around. She simply furrowed her eyebrows in response.

"Why the fuck were you so calm? You didn't do anything yourself and neither did you let me put him into his place." Rudransh said, poorly controlling his anger.

"He's an investor. We need to be civil with him. It would've looked bad if we misbehaved." She said, offering him a logical explanation.

"I don't care. All I care is he dared to look at what belong to me. He knows you carry my name! How dare he look towards my woman!" Rudransh shouted his sentence and drew unwanted attention from couple of people around.

"I cannot believe you Rudransh. That man eyes your wife in a dirty way and all you can think about is how he should be afraid to do so because she carries your name!" She counter argued.

"It's the truth, isn't it. He should fear even thinking of you, let alone grab your hand and that too in front of me." He shouted.

"How. Dare. You. So I'm worth nothing if I'm not your wife. After you marry me forcefully, against my wish might I add, you want to strip away my own identity from me? I cannot even look at you right now!" Mahira said, loosing her cool. She pushed on his chest and he ended up falling into the fountain behind him.

"How. Dare. You!" He said through gritted teeth and before she knows, he pulled her towards the water as well. Thankfully, she was quick enough to throw the file away from all the water.

"Jaise ko taisa." He smugly commented.

Tit for tat.

"I'll fucking kill you one day." She shouted as he stepped out of the fountain and offered her a hand.

"Itni jaldi vidhwa hone ka irada hai kya?" He teasingly said as he guestered one of the waiters to bring some fresh towels for both of them.

Do you plan on becoming a widow so soon?

"Chup karo!" Mahira shouted as she gathered her hair and gave her husband a death glare.

Shut up!

"Not my favourite way of getting you wet but sach bolu to bahot maza aaya." Rudransh commented in her ear after eyeing her from head-to-toe and earned a slap on his chest from her.

Truth be told, I enjoyed it a lot.

"I cannot believe you just made that comment right now. Besharam." She said and walked towards where the waiter was standing with a towel in his hand.

Shameless.

The sound of her husband's laughter was heard and she couldn't help but smile at their childishness.
