Mahira had a frown etched on her face as she walked next to Rudransh in his office building. She noticed the luxurious interiors of the place and how people whispered a number of things to each other upon seeing the two of them together.

His employees were greeting him, wishing him a good morning but the arrogant man next to her didn't even bother to so much as nod at them. Then again, who was she to judge. She herself was guilty of doing the same thing whenever she was hyper focused on something or in a bad mood.

Rudransh stopped in front of what Mahira assumed was his office door. She read the name plate, 'President and CEO, Rudransh Rajvanshi'. The name plate had the patent Rajvanshi crest that she had seen before on her precious pocket watch as well.

Rudransh opened the door and gestured for Mahira to walk in. She did so and took a look around his office. Dark grey couches, deep brown desks and a glass coffee table by the right. The most attractive feature of his office was the wall behind the desk which was made of complete glass. Since they were on the 60th floor, the view of Mumbai was clearly provided and Mahira couldn't help but stare. She stopped in front of the glass and kept a hand on it.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" She didn't realise when Rudransh closed the door and entered the room, let alone when he stood just behind her.

"So much so that I'm considering buying out this building from you." Mahira truthfully replied, still looking out the window.

"I don't think that would be necessary." She heard him whisper in her ear and she scrunched her eyebrows.

She felt him wrap his left arm around her waist from behind as he kept his right hand above Mahira's which was resting on the glass. He frivolously removed her hair from her neck and nuzzled his nose in it. She felt his warm breath hit her exposed skin and she couldn't help but clench her jaw.

"Whatever is mine is yours now, fiancée." She heard him whisper in a husky voice.

Rudransh placed a butterfly kiss on her clenched jaw and heard her take a sharp inhale of breath. He then continued placing open mouth kisses along the length of her neck, all the while drawing invisible patterns on her waist. A shiver ran down Mahira's spine at the man's touch.

It was ironic how much she hated him yet her body reacted to his touch the way it did. She mentally cursed herself for not stopping him but also enjoying his ministrations on her.

They heard a knock on the door and it successfully snapped them out of their bubble.

Rudransh cussed under his breath. He placed one last kiss, this time on Mahira's cheek before detaching himself from her and walking towards the door to answer it.

Mahira mentally frowned at the loss of his body heat but then cursed herself for thinking such way.

Two suited men walked inside the office as Mahira turned around.

"This is my assistant, Jay and this is my lawyer Mr. Sameer Bhatia." Rudransh introduced the two to Mahira.

Mr. Bhatia kept some papers on Rudransh's desk and gestured towards them.

"They're ready, sir." He said and Rudransh nodded in acknowledgment.

Jay quickly picked two pens out of the pen stand and handed it to Rudransh. He walked towards the desk and signed the documents, where Mr. Bhatia pointed.

After he was done, he looked at Mahira who was glaring at him with anger swimming in her eyes. He offered her an innocent smile and then gestured for her to come to where he was standing.

"I cannot believe I'm doing this." Mahira murmured to herself before reluctantly walking to Rudransh's desk and grabbing the pen that he offered. He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket and picked the lighter up from his desk. Lighting the cigarette, he took a deep puff.

"Here, ma'am." Mr. Bhatia pointed at the documents and Mahira started signing.

A satisfactory smile etched on Rudransh's lips as he saw her sign the documents that make her officially his.

Mrs. Mahira Rudransh Rajvanshi.

"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rajvanshi." Mr. Bhatia said as soon as Mahira finished signing the documents.

She threw the pen on the table and gave a glare to the man. His smile dropped a bit at the newlywed's reaction.

"Stop glaring at the man, baby." Rudransh coolly said as he kept a hand on Mahira's lower back.

"I'm not your baby. Do not call me that." Mahira said, directing the glare towards her now husband who was standing next to her.

"That's not up to you. I can call my wife whatever I like." Rudransh said and smiled at her so lovingly that she almost forgot under what circumstances this marriage took place.

"Complete the formalities and send me the marriage certificate as soon as possible." Rudransh said and dismissed both his assistant and the lawyer.

"As you wish sir." Mr. Bhatia said and exited the office followed by Rudransh's assistant.

"Now, let's leave, shall we." Rudransh said as he took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. Mahira looked down at their joined hands for second before looking back up in his eyes.

"And where are we going?" She questioned.

"I'm sure my mother would be more than happy to meet her elder daughter-in-law. We're headed to our home." Rudransh emphasised on the word 'our'.

"You're crazy if you think I'll move in with you." Mahira replied.

"I think for the sake of your company, you will. We're married now and for the world this is a love match so I expect you to behave as such." Rudrnash said as he held her chin in between his two fingers but she slapped his hand away.

"And what about you? Will you behave as such?" Mahira questioned with cocked eyebrows.

"You shall see." Rudransh said and before she could counter argued, he started walking out of the office.

Mahira pulled him back to where they were. She took the cigarette from between his lips and dropping it to the floor, she stepped on it, putting it out.

"Agli baar cigarette dikhni nahi chahiye tumhare haaton mein." Mahira warned her new husband.

I shouldn't find a cigarette in your hand, from now on.

"Abhi se biwiyon jese hukum chalane lagi ho tum." Rudransh commented with a smirk.

You've already started ordering me around like a typical wife.

.

.

.

"Please inform my mother of our arrival." Rudransh said to a house-help as soon as him and his new wife walked inside his living room.

The Rajvanshi Mansion was something straight out of the movies. It was a mansion in true sense. With large windows, vintage furniture and modern art pieces, the place was everything you would expect from the Rajvanshis.

Rudransh asked Mahira to take a seat on the couch and she did.

Shortly, Mahira saw two women and a man younger than her enter the living room. The elder woman was dressed in fine silk with minimal jewellery on. The younger one looked to be in her early twenties who Mahira assumed must be Rudransh's little sister. The man who was standing there with them was undoubtedly his younger brother. He had the same face cut and eyes as Rudransh.

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet the newest members of the Rajvanshi Family." Rudransh said as he gestured towards Mahira. She stood up and walked to where Rudransh was standing.

"Meet my wife, Mrs. Mahira Rajvanshi."  He said as he looked down at her face and offered her a smile.

A tingle passed down her spine as she heard what he just called her, 'Mahira Rajvanshi'.

"What are you talking about?" The woman who must be Rudransh's mother said as she looked between the two of them, clearly confused.

"I'll explain everything. Please have a seat." Rudransh gestured towards the couch and all of them took a seat.

He took his seat next to Mahira and kept a hand on her knee.

"Mahira this is my mother, Avantika Rajvanshi. My younger brother, Ayaan Rajvanshi and my little sister Aishwarya Rajvanshi." Rudransh briefly introduced his family to her.

"Bhai, you got married?" Aishwarya asked as she looked at him with confusion laced in her tone. He simply nodded in answer.

Brother.

"So as you know, Ayaan donated our ancestral watch by mistake last month..." Rudransh started to narrate a false story to his family members.

According to his story, they have been dating for some time now and it was a happy coincidence that she was the one who bought the watch. The only part that was true was how Mahira refused to return the watch back and so Rudransh proposed the impending marriage. This way she would be the owner of the watch but it'd still be in the Rajvanshi family.

"Tera dimag kharab hai?" Avantika said once her elder son was done narrating all that happened.

Are you out of your mind?

"Maa, try and understand. I know what I'm doing." Rudransh said.

"Teri shaadi ya Mahira se mujhe koi aitraaz nahi. In fact mai Mahira ke parents se formally pehle mil bhi chuki hu and they're nice people." Avantika said.

I don't have any objection on your wedding or Mahira. In fact I've formally met her parents before and they're nice people.

"To aap itna gussa kyu kar rahe ho, maa? I like Mahira." Ayaan said.

Then why are you angry, mom?

"Bhabhi hai teri. Izzat se naam le." Rudransh said as he gave a glare to his younger brother.

She's your sister-in-law. Address her with respect.

"Mahira bhabhi." He said and gave a small smile to Rudransh.

"Tujhe zara sa bhi khayal nahi aaya Mahira ka? Apni shaadi ke liye uski kuch expectations hongi, kuch sapne honge. Ye nahi ki boyfriend ke office mei documents sign karke shaadi karli." Avantika said and looked at Mahira who was silently looking at her now mother-in-law.

You didn't think of Mahira at all? She must've had expectations from her wedding, she must've had some dreams. It wouldn't have been to get married in her boyfriend's office by signing some documents.

"Aur ye hamari geneartion ki pehli shaadi hai. If I'm not wrong, bhabhi ke ghar ki iklauti shaadi. Itni saadgi se to nahi ho skati." Aishwarya said as she looked at Mahira. Everyone knew Mahira was the only daughter of the Dalals.

And this is the first wedding of our generation. If I'm not wrong, it's the only wedding from sister-in-law's side. It cannot take place with such simplicity.

"Baat to sahi hai." Ayaan agreed to his little sister.

She has a point.

"Theek hai. Ayaan hamare pandit ko kal bulao. Mahira beta apne parents se abhi meri baat karvao. Tum dono ki shaadi reeti rivajon se hogi aur tab hi iss rishte ko hum mannege." Avantika said.

Okay then. Ayaan call for our priest tomorrow. Mahira dear, let me have a word with your parents. Your wedding will take place after all the customs and then only shall we all accept this relationship.

"But maa hamari shaadi ho chuki hai." Rudransh said as he tried explaing his mother.

But mom we are already married.

"Sirf legally. 7 phere liye bina koi shaadi complete nahi hoti, Rudransh Rajvanshi. No further arguments." Avantika said with finality in her words.

Only legally. Without any customs, no wedding is to be considered,

"Are you okay with this?" Rudransh asked looking at Mahira.

"Jase ab tak bahot chal rahi hai meri." Mahira sassed and didn't realise how the other three heard them. Rudransh glared at his siblings to quit laughing.

As if everything's going according to me till now.

"I'll call my parents." Mahira said and excused herself from the living room.

Avantika looked at Rudransh in disappointmnet.

"Mai nahi manti teri joothi kahani. Mujhe nahi pata ki exactly tum dono ke beech kya hua hai and I won't intrude you with questions. All I'll say is ke woh teri biwi hai ab. Treat her as an equal and with respect. That's an order." She looked at Rudransh in all seriousness.

I don't believe your false story. I do not know what took place between you two but I won't intrude you with questions. All I'll say is that she's your wife now.

"Yes, maa." Rudransh couldn't help but not.

So they're married now. How are finding the story to be so far?
