Chapter 277
Untamed: The Alpha
277 LET THEM KILL EACH OTHER
âI came here to help you, but why do I feel like I am the one, who is begging for your time and attention?â Hades complained. âYou are so cruel and cold. No wonder you are with Chaos. His personality doesnât stray too far from yours.â Hades clicked his tongue, looking all annoyed.
On the other hand, Zuri gave him a brief glance, while saying, âI thought Chaos had burned you.â She knew that Hades wouldnât die because of it, but she liked how upset he became when he heard that and started to explain all over again about how he couldnât die.
It felt great to mess with the god of the underworld, since his appearance, mostly, annoyed her.
âAre you listening to me?â Hades furrowed his brows, staring at Zuri, as they walked out of the alley and crossed the main road, where there were a lot of people there.
âHow canât I?â Zuri looked for the café, where she would meet Chaos later and strode in that direction.
âI came to give you information.â
âJust talk then.â
âWhy donât you look more enthusiastic?â
âWhat should I do? Jump up and down and beg you to tell me?â
.....
Hades scrunched his nose, his golden eyes looked at Zuri with disgust when he imagined that. âDonât do that, that looks weird.â
Upon hearing that, Zuri rolled her eyes dramatically and then both of them entered the café and found a table at an inconspicuous corner, which was the perfect spot to be away from peopleâs attention.
White came with them and even though people saw her, no one raised any complaints, as they ignored the creature completely.
âWhat do you want to order?â A waitress came to them with two menus and a notepad in her hand, she looked at Hades and Zuri could hear her gasp softly. âYou have beautiful eyes,â she gushed. âAre they real?â
Zuri knew that Hades was good looking, but she had never been dumbstruck by his appearance before, since she could sense there was something wrong with this creature.
On the other hand, Hades seemed to be enjoying the attention that the waitress showered him with. He began to openly flirt with her and even asked for her number.
âOh, arenât you here on a date with her?â The waitress looked surprised, but was ecstatic to catch this good looking guyâs eyes. However, she wanted to clear the air first.
âNo, of course not, she is my sister,â Hades said immediately, he sounded so natural. Such a smooth liar...
âSister, my ass,â Zuri muttered and Hades laughed loudly as he stretched out his hand and tousled her hair.
Zuri swatted his hand immediately, he knew that she didnât like to be touched, but he kept messing around with her.
âOkay then,â the waitress said jovially and then wrote down her number on a piece of paper, then gave it to Hades with a wink. âSo, whatâs your order?â
âHot chocolate,â Zuri said without even looking at the menu.
âA coffee please.â Hades even tipped the waitress. He just slipped a few bills into the back pocket of her pants with ease, which made the waitress feel even more elated. She then walked away to place their order.
âIs that real money?â Zuri narrowed her eyes. This question came from her genuine curiosity. How could these creatures like Chaos and Hades were able to have money on their own?
âOf course. I am rich, you know. Be my bride and you will live lavishly.â
âIâll pass.â
âThat stung. It is rare for me to be rejected. I am not used to it.â
Zuri stopped listening to his whining at this point, realizing this, Hades stopped with his babbling and his expression turned serious.
âYou need to find help for Chaos,â Hades started. âHe will turn into a living nightmare if you donât take his condition seriously.â
At this point, Zuri was having her own doubts. âWhy do you care so much about this? In any case, you will be happy to have this realm ruined, wonât you be?â
Hades laughed when he heard what Zuri said, that could be true, but that was not all. âLook, I know this sounds unrealistic for god of the underworld like me, who love death more than life to say that I care about this stupid realm, but this is not about me caring about it or not, nor was it about what I prefer, it is about balance.â
âYou are talking about balance now?â Zuri leaned back comfortably in her seat when the same waitress came to bring their drinks and winked at Hades.
In an instant, Hadesâ demeanor changed, as he flirted with her here and there before she walked back to the counter and then he resumed his serious expression again.
âYou can put it simply like this, Blue,â Hades smirked when he saw Zuriâs gaze sharpen when he called her by that name, yet he ignored that like usual. âI will not be able to handle two hells at the same time, so yeah, as much as I love chaos to happen in this realm, I donât want this realm to turn into hell, since I will be damn busy handling two jobs simultaneously.â
Even though the way Hades talked made it seem like it was not a big deal, Zuri knew for sure that he was just downplaying the entire thing.
âI donât care if this realm turns into hell,â Zuri mumbled, she didnât really mean what she said, because she was still trying to understand this whole situation.
âWell, if you like to live in hell, I can give you a brief tour as a heads up, so you can have some idea what hell looks like.â Hades shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, as though he was inviting Zuri to a recreational park.
Zuri pressed her lips tightly and folded her arms in front of her chest. âDo you think he can do that?â
Hades laughed sourly. âThe only reason why he has not yet done that is because he can still control himself, but if you ask me what will happen once he loses it, then the answer is; hell.â Hades sipped his drink and then continued. âThere will always be chaos in hell, not to mention he has freed most of the dark creatures from my realm. Oh, and Aaron too... ah, that brat...â
Zuri knew in the big picture who Aaron was, he seemed to be the most powerful and malicious dark creature that Chaos had freed from hell, but she still couldnât get the full picture as to how destructive this creature could be.
During these years, they had met a few dark creatures, including that woman, but Chaos only killed a few, since they stupidly threatened her life, while the others, he didnât want to waste his time on them.
âIs my warning not strong enough?â
Zuri almost screamed, she freaked out when all of a sudden Chaos appeared, sitting right next to her. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, while glaring daggers at Hades.
He would have burned him down again to chase him away if they were not in public.
âChaos... my old friend,â Hades gushed, but he was on alert now, ready to evade whatever aggression that Chaos made.
âStay away from her,â Chaos warned him. His whole demeanor asserted his dominance, as he spoke to Hades calmly. His eyes were no longer black, but the blue color was a little bit too dark to say it was the original color.
âTsk,â Hades clicked his tongue, as he shook his head in desperation. âWhat should I do? She is so attractive that I canât stay away from her.â
On the other hand, Zuri really wanted to kick his ass for saying such a thing. She knew that Hades only said it to annoy Chaos, but didnât he say it himself that Chaosâ control over himself was a little bit unstable right now?
âI think I love her the way you love her.â Hades took this too far and the outcome was predictable enough, since his words enraged Chaos beyond words.
Zuri didnât really get what happened after that, because a second ago she was staring at Chaosâ livid expression, but next thing that she knew they were already in a vast clearing, a meadow with the sun almost setting behind the horizon.
She was sitting on the grass with White standing next to her, seemingly confused with the sudden change, yet she had gotten used to this after years of experiencing it.
Therefore, the wolf simply nuzzled her face and then rested her head on Zuriâs lap, while the latter caressed her soft fur.
Meanwhile, in front of them, Chaos and Hades were standing shoulder to shoulder, tension was in the air, as if they were ready to kill each other.
However, the problem was; none of them could be killed, so what was even the point of all of this?
âLet them kill each other,â Zuri muttered, as she watched the two strongest supernatural creatures with a bored face.
At least, Chaos brought her chocolate drink too...
=======================
âI know that you have a problem with Knox,â Sebastian said, as he draped his jacket around Julyâs shoulders, standing next to her. âBut, you canât let this cost you your health.â
It had been a few days since things between Knox and July became strained and Sebastian could figure out what this was about.
âI am so tired,â July sighed, she closed her eyes.
Sebastian felt this uncomfortable feeling when he saw Julyâs current expression and this made him feel more protective of her, as he extended his arms and pulled her closer to hug her.
