Chapter 49

Year later

Dušica's P.O.V.

I was woken up by voices from the hallway. Oh, who am I kidding, I didn't sleep whole night, I was so excited I couldn't close my eyes. Basically, I haven't slept whole week but I don't care.

Today's the day. We are getting married. Yes, we are both nineteen and we are getting married, deal with it. Maybe we are young but I know this is probably the only right thing I did, beside being with her in the first place. I am super nervous and excited and happy all the things at the same time. This is like dream come true. It's August and thank god, it's not too hot. Day is perfect today, everything is nice.

I am at my parents' house, about to get ready hear while Sam is at her parents' house. We are getting married at our home. At our yard, everything is organised well, we hired officiant, I just hope decorations are as we planned.

Okay, so what should I do first? I guess getting up and showering isn't a bad idea? Right. I am so happy, nothing's going to change this.

But before I could get out of the bed Mia and Ana bursted into my room with serious faces. Ugh this is not something I'm used to from them.

"What's up?" I asked while getting out of bed, they are probably going to tell me how I look like crap right now or some stuff like that just to make me feel like ripping their heads off.

They looked at each other and Mia gulped.

"You tell her" Mia said and Ana looked at her and shook her head.

"No, you are her best friend, you should be the one she will hear it from." Ana said and they started arguing who should tell me, well whatever they have to tell me.

"Stop!" I said and they both stopped, glaring at each other. "Mia, tell me" I said and she groaned.

"Well, uh, umm" she mumbled.

"Spill it already"

"She backed out!" Ana said immediately and groaned.

"Who backed out?" I asked already taking off my shirt and I saw Ana gulping so I threw it on her face.

"Your bride you idiot!" Mia said and my head snapped in her direction.

"WHAT?" I asked, my jaw dropping on the floor.

"Well, she kinda ran away?" Ana said, more like asked...

"What do you mean she ran away???" I started pacing in my room "she was totally fine yesterday, she was excited and happy. Oh god, move I have to go"

"Where?" Mia asked and stood in front of me, blocking my way.

"At her house to see her, duh" I said and she shook her head.

"No, Elena called us few minutes ago and said that they can't find her anywhere! She is not there!"

"Well, clearly I have to go and find her so MOVE right now" I said pushing through them.

Just when I walked out, in hallway Sarah appeared in front of me.

"What's going on in here? We could hear you guys yelling downstairs" she said and wiggled her eyebrows.

"I'm going to find my bride so please, move away"

"Why?"

"Because she ran away! And now I have to go and find her. So please move or I'll physically make you."

"Oh my god!" She exclaimed and started laughing with other two behind me.

"What the hell?" I asked looking at them back and forth.

"You two really did that! I told you not to, oh you are dead!" Sarah said and I realized everything was just big stupid lie Mia and Ana came up with.

"You are so dead!" I said and they were already running away, but soon I started running after them as well.

Downstairs, everyone watched us running like idiots in circles. I was only in my underwear for god's sake!

"Enough!" I said and they both stopped. "Today, I am getting married and I have no time to watch you two being idiots like you are, just stop messing around and fucking help me." I said and they groaned. "Charlie?!"

I yelled and both Charlies appeared in front of me, my babyboy that grew up and is so big right now and Charlie, my good friend. Wait, the other one is my good friend too! Well, one human and other even better human. You know what? Just Charlie my ex and Charlie my dog appeared.

"Yeah?" he asked and other Charlie came to me.

"Well, actually I was calling for a dog" I mumbled and we laughed. "Go, get them boy" I said while patting his head and he barked and Mia and Ana looked pale.

"Oh oh" Mia gasped and pushed Ana in front of her before running away, I laughed and went back to my room.

"Girl, you need to start getting ready!" Annabelle said when I was on doorway of my room and pulled me inside.

"Okay okay I know!" I said and groaned and Nina, her little sister ran into the room.

She jumped in my arms and I spun her around.

"Hey babygirl, how are you?" I asked and she giggled.

"Amazing, and you?" She asked sweetly.

"Nervous, scared as shi-"

"Language!" Annabelle said and glared at me and both, Nina and I rolled eyes at her.

"Go get ready then, we don't want Sam to wait do we now?" Nina said, god, this girl is like eight and she is so smart!

"Ma'am, yes ma'am!" I said and saluted her like soldier.

She giggled and ran away. I looked at Annabelle and smiled sheepishly. She shook her head in disbelief but before she could say anything Mary was on my door.

"Hey babe, I need your help downstairs" she said and then looked at me "looking good Nikolić" she said and winked but Annabelle took one of my shirts from bed and threw it at her.

"Watch out Mary, someone's jealous" I giggled "and also, don't I always?" I asked and ran into the bathroom before they could throw something on me.

Okay, so let me tell you what happened for this past year. Listen carefully because here is a lot to say, not actually but whatever.

So, Sam and I are obviously getting married, in case you didn't notice. Mia and Elena are still together, something nice is going to happen. Like you saw, Annabelle and Mary somehow ended up together and I have no idea how that happen! Charlie is single as well as Jon, I don't know why boys don't have anyone, because honestly they are both handsome, let's be real here. Ana and Emilie are single too wonder when are they going to realize they are perfrct for each other, and Sarah is still looking for new love, well she is literally not looking for it but she is finally open to have someone else in her life. Also, we didn't really hear from Tom but it's not exactly like we tried..

Elena, Emilie and Jon are with Sam today. At noon we are going to have the ceremony and I'm still so nervous. Sam and I agreed we won't call each other today and I already miss her voice. Also, I have no idea what does her dress look like. I'm so curious but guess like I'm not getting look at it before the ceremony.

I soon walked out only to find my mom on my bed.

"Hey mom" I said with smile and she got up.

"Come on honey, you are so slow, we need to get your hair done and you need to dress up" she started babbling and got up, dragging me downstairs to, as I love to call it, fancy room.

I groaned when I saw all the stylists in there. There were too many of them but I know I need just something simple.

"I know what you are thinking but they are not all for you" mom said with smile "They helped the other girls as well, and now they are going to help you and me" she said and sat down on one chair.

There were knock on the door and when someone opened Jon peeked inside.

"Hey!" I said with big smile and he waved.

"Hey, just came to wish you good luck" he said with smile and walked in. "How do you feel?"

"Fine! Totally fine, everything's fine!" I said and everyone laughed, including stylists and I just pouted. "How is Sam?"

"I guess you could say she is fine, totally fine and everything's fine" he said mimicking me and I stuck my tongue out at him.

I took this chance to look at him up and down, he was already dressed up and he looked amazing! He wears suit between black and dark dark red. It looks amazing on him!

"Damn, man, you look amazing" I said and he smiled.

"I know" he said and winked which made me roll my eyes playfully. "Anyway, I have to go, just wanted to see you before the ceremony" he said and kissed my cheek. "Goodbye Mrs. Nikolic" he said to mom and she smiled before he left.

You know that everyone is talking about our wedding? I feel like in past year it was only topic in the media, and it was big pressure on us but we went through it as well. Together, the two of us are really strong and I feel like I could do anything with her.

Soon, I was finally done and I walked back in my room, ready to put on my dress. Simple, my ass! When you are with my mom there is just no way you can do something simple...my hair was in freaking bun, I had make up on my face although not much, but still... Okay fine, I have to admit I look amazing.

Anyway, everyone has left already and I'm the only one in this house.

Also our maids and security, I consider them as my friends, family so they are going to enjoy our wedding like everyone else today.

After few minutes of trying to put on my dress I finally managed to do it somehow. I looked myself in the mirror and smiled. Okay I seriously love this dress, it took me awhile to pick it but I love it. It's white, upper part looks amazing with lance, and lower is just falling freely down my body, two big cut down my legs. I took silver heels, and simple earrings.

Suddenly dad opened door of my room startling me.

"My beautiful daughter" he said and walked towards me, I looked up at him and saw his teary eyes.

"Oh god, dad please don't cry, if you cry I'm gonna cry and I have all this makeup and" I started babbling and he chuckled.

"I am just so happy and proud of you baby" he said and kissed my cheek. "You ready?" he asked with his hand waiting for mine. I smiled and nodded.

We walked out and Willy was waiting there, holding door of limo opened for me. He insisted he does his job today. He smiled at me and I hugged him tightly.

"You look amazing" he said with smile and I thanked him before they helped me go inside.

Here we go.

When gates opened I was amazed! I couldn't believe they did this amazing job! It all looked amazing. Car stoped and we walked inside without anyone looking me, we were stated in my room and Sam is probably in one of others. Okay I have urge to go and find her but I know I can't.

It's almost time for me to walk outside and  down the aisle. Elena came in room and looked at me with her jaw on the floor.

"Girl, you look amazing!" She said and hugged me.

"Thank you! You don't look bad yourself" I said with smirk.

She really looked good while wearing dark red dress that is short in front but long on other side. She also has silver heels.

"Anyways, where's Sam?"

"She's with her dad, ready to go out as well" she said and I nodded. "Are you nervous?" she asked and I glared at her which made her laugh. "Of course, I'll just leave." she walked away still laughing and I shook my head in disbelief.

Before I walked out I saw Charlie.

"Uu someone's handsome today!" I said and he chuckled before kissing my cheek.

"I'm always handsome"

"I seriously expected you to come in jeans and leather jacket or something" I said while watching at his black suit, damn it looked amazing. "I'd wear this" I mumbled and he laughed.

"You are talking too much, go get your girl" he said before walking away.

We walked outside, standing in shadow while watching Nina walking towards the altar while throwing petals in front of her.

"It's time" dad said and I hooked my arm with his.

I took a deep breath and we started walking down the aisle. Everyone was up and looking at us which made me smile. Dad let go of my hand, kissed me with tears in his eyes and walked in his place, next to mom. I gave my bouquet to Mia who was standing next to me giving me thumbs up and I had to roll my eyes. She had simple black dress with cut down her leg but it looked amazing on her. Elena was on the other side.

I bit my lip looking at the entrance waiting for Sam. When she walked in with her dad I gasped, she looks so beautiful. My jaw was down and when she finally looked up at me she had the same expression, I smiled and she giggled.

She had long dress with cut in front, upper part was lance as well and she looked absolutely stunning!

Her dad kissed her cheek, and I stepped down taking her hand in mine. She gave her bouquet to Elena and then faced me.

"You" I said and paused with big smile "you look gorgeous princess"

"So do you baby" she whispered and we smiled.

Minister cleared his throat and everyone giggled, two of us blushing.

"Queerly beloved, we gathered here togay" (A/N: Yep I did that) Everyone chuckled including him and he kept talking. "To witness the union of Dušica Nikolić and Samantha Mett in holy matrimony, which is an honorable estate, that is not to be entered into Inadvisedly or lightly, but reverently and soberly. Into this estate these two persons present come now to be joined. if any one can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." Mia tried to raise her finger but I quickly took it and pulled her hand down without even looking at her, and everyone laughed.

He shook his head and smiled "Now the vows, they decided to write it by themselves so let's hear it. Samantha, please start."

She took my hand and smiled widely.

"Dušica you are my best friend. I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, and grow with you. I will love you when we are together and when we are apart. I promise to support your dreams and to respect our differences, and to love you and be by your side through all the days and nights of our lives." She said with tears in her eyes and I bit my lip from big smile. Mia blew her nose behind me and I glared at her but she just smiled sheepishly, pretending to wipe off her fake tears.

"Now, Dušica please read yours"

I cleared my throat and made circles on back of Sam's hand.

"I, Dušica, choose you Samantha to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, trusting what things I will discover. I will respect you as a person, a partner, and an equal. There is little to say that you haven’t already heard, and little to give that is not already freely given. Before you said yes, I was yours and I am devoted to you in every way. I marry you with no hesitation or doubt, and my commitment to you is absolute." I said with big biggg smile plastered on my face.

"Dušica Nikolić  do you take Samantha Mett to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?"

I bit my lip and smiled "I do." I said and everyone clapped.

"Samantha Mett, do you take Dušica Nikolić to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?

Sam looked at me and smiled "I do" she said and smile only started growing on my face.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Mrs. and Mrs. Nikolić. You may kiss the bride" he said and I smiled before bringing her closer to me and kissing her. Everyone applauded and I smiled against the kiss.

"I love you" I mumbled and she smiled.

"I love you too"

We are still in our wedding dresses and it's time for us to throw bouquets. We thought about doing it at the same time but there was a slight change of plans.

"You ready girls?" Sam asked and turned around and I laughed lightly.

She throw her bouquet over her hand and you won't believe who caught it! Nina! I burst out laughing and other girls were annoyed.

"Little girl have more luck than you" I mumbled and they glared at me. "Okay okay, you'll get another chance!"

"This is only good thing about two girls getting married someone said and we laughed"

My back were facing them but then I turned around and started walking towards them, all of them looking confused. I came in front of Elena and smiled, giving her my bouquet. She frowned and I just took her by her shoulders and turned her around. She gasped when she saw Mia kneeling in front of her.

"I'm seriously not good with words so I'm just going to keep this simple. Will you, Elena White marry me, and be my wife?" she asked and Elena nodded few times before saying yes.

They hugged and Mia put ring on her finger. I looked at Sam and kissed her.

"Well, this I definitely nice" I mumbled and she smiled "I'm happy for them" she added while our best friends were kissing.

It's time for our first dance and I am nervous as fuck for no particular reason. I lead Sam towards the dance floor and put my hands on her waist while hers were on my shoulders. Music started and we started moving slowly against each other.

She smiled and brought her lips closer to my ear.

"Have I told you how beautiful you look today?"  she whispered and I shivered.

She pulled away and sung the rest of the song.

I kissed her and she smiled widely. People clapped and we smiled.

"Are you ready to change? I can't handle this dress anymore" I mumbled and she smiled before nodding.

We walked in my room and I immediately pinned her against the wall and she laughed leaning her head backwards giving me perfect access to her neck. I first kissed her jawline, because I know she loves that the kept kissing down until I came behind of her ear which immediately made her moan.

"F-Fuck babe, not now" she said and I groaned pulling away.

"We don't have to go back there" I said and she shook her head with smile.

"We do, babe, come on now, go change" she said and walked beside me.

"I'm so tired of white" I said after few minutes while looking my black dress in the mirror.

She laughed and walked from the clothes "I got tired of dress"

I looked at her and my jaw dropped on the floor, she kinda have same expression which made me laugh.

She was wearing white tux and black bra under, it looked amazing actually.

"You look amazing" she mumbled and I smiled "And you are breathtaking" I said and she blushed I kissed her cheek and leaded her downstairs so we can join the party.

Mia and Elena joined us, both of them smiling happily. They hugged us and Mia started thanking us for helping her.

"Dude, stop, you know you are my best friend, I'd anything for you even tho I maybe shouldn't have after what you did this morning." I said and she laughed.

"What happened this morning?" Sam asked with raised eyebrow and Mia rolled her eyes.

"Nothing special, she is just making big deal out of nothing" she said and I glared at her.

"Nothing special? And I'm making big deal? Her and Ana told me you basically give up of wedding" I said and Sam and Elena gasped then Sam laughed. "Why are you laughing?"

"I wish I could have seen that" she mumbled and I pinched her arm playfully.

"You do not"

"That seriously was funny until she sent Charlie to catch us" Mia said and I laughed.

"That's what you get when you mess with me"

"Figured"

It's already afternoon, we are having fun, everyone is enjoying. I am stuck talking with some family members I have never actually seen before and I miss Sam. I saw her chatting with Marielle and her wife, Avery.

"Excuse me" I said and walked away before they could stop me.

"Good evening ladies" I said and they greeted me happily.

"You two are an amazing couple" Marielle said dreamily and we giggled.

"Yeah, it's like you were born for each other" Avery added and I looked at Sam, her arm around my waist, and she smiled.

"Thank you!" I said, "how are you, and how's Amy?" I asked and they started talking about Amy and how much she has grown. Sam and smiled and we talked some more.

"I hope you won't mind if I steal her now" I said and they both shook their heads with smirk.

"Be careful!" I heard Avery said after we already walked away and I laughed.

"Where we going?" Sam asked while holding my hand.

"In the bushes" I said and she looked at me confused and I just laughed. "Well, I missed you, what can I do" I added and she giggled.

And in that moment, we were just little away from everyone, I wanted to hide behind some tree but stopped dead on my track and Sam bumped into me.

"Wha-" I guess she saw what I was looking at and I could hear her gasp.

Just there, moment ago, before Sam said anything, Jon was pinned against the tree by Charlie who was kissing him. Charlie's hand was leaned on tree next to Jon's head and other on his neck, while Jon's hand was on Charlie's shirt pulling him closer.     (A/N: YES, everyone in this book is gay, deal with it) They pulled away immediately when they heard Sam's voice.

"And that's how she kissed me and told me I could have better" Charlie said while nodding his head, proud of what he just came up with. "Oh, hi girls" he looked at us pretending like he just saw us while Jon was just standing there blushing like crazy.

"Um, uh hi?" I said and he smiled, blushes appearing on his cheeks as well. "We'll ju-" but I stopped.

"We'll just leave you two to umm, explain your stories better" she said and walked away but I still stood there staring at them, okay I'm in shock.

Charlie raised his eyebrow, clearly telling me I'm bothering them.

"Baby!" Sam whined from behind and pulled me with her. "Don't mind her"

She was leading me away and I started laughing like crazy!

"Dear god, I've never expected this!" I mumbled while trying to catch my breath and she laughed with me.

"Agreed" she said and kissed my nose. "But, let's go back, people are probably looking for us"

"Nah, they know what we are up to" I said with smirk and she smacked back of my head. "I love you" I said and giggled and she rolled her eyes before smiling and bringing me closer.

"I love you more"

"Nope"

"Yep"

"Nah"

"Yeah"

"Shut up!"

"Make me" she said with smirk and I knew exactly what to do.
