Chapter 45

Dušica's P.O.V.

It's early. Really early in the morning. I am snuggled close to Sam under the covers. We are at my place. By her rapid breathing I think she isn't sleeping but I am so tired to open my eyes.

Her arms are around me and my head on her chest. She kissed top of my head and I smiled against her skin, snuggling even closer to her if it was possible. I tried to open my eyes, but couldn't. After few times trying I finally managed to peek.

She  was playing with my hair, stating in the ceiling or better said mirror on the ceiling.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked and closed my eyes.

"It's almost Christmas" she said out of blue and I hummed in response.

She turned on her side so she could face me and I sighed. No more sleeping. I peeked a little and she smiled.

"Look I know it basically means nothing to you" she started, well this one doesn't, I'm Christian and Christmas we celebrate is in January so.

"Yeah, true but we always celebrated it with my mom and her parents so I how this is important to you" I said with nod and she smiled.

"So I was wondering would you like to decorate a Christmas tree?"

"Right now?" I groaned.

"No, silly, today" she said with chuckle.

"Well, yeah I love when house is decorated right for the New year so why not do it now?"

She smiled so big, I thought her cheeks are going to hurt, again showing that dimples, and started kissing every part of my face which made me giggle like crazy.

"Stooop" I whined and she laughed.

I watched her naked body getting out of bed, and I sat up.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"8" she answered simply and I groaned.

"Early!" I said and buried my face in the pillow.

I heard her laugh, but soon I drifted back to sleep.

I finally woke up, again... Although it's only like half an hour later but who cares. Sam is not here so I guess she is or in bathroom or downstairs.

I walked into the bathroom and she wasn't there. I took quick shower, brushed my teeth and walked out. Once downstairs, I knew exactly where to go. I walked in the kitchen and there she was. Sitting at the counter, her back facing me, with a cup of coffee in her hands. I sneaked closer to her without her noticing me. I kissed her shoulder and she literally jumped and I laughed.

"Holy shit, you scared me" she complained.

"It never was my intention, gorgeous" I said with smirk and she rolled her eyes with groan.

"Do you want coffee?" she asked and I shook my head.

"Nah, I'll just take some tea"

"British girl" she mumbled before taking sip of her coffee.

"You know I'm basically not British, right?" I chuckled.

"Whatever"

In that moment Natasha walked in.

"Good morning, girls" have I mentioned that she has finally stopped calling me Miss?

"Good morning" Sam and greeted back cheerfully.

"Do you want us to make breakfast?" she asked.

"No need to bother" I said "I will"

"Nonsense" she said and shook her head, I laughed and she literally sat me down like a little kid.

"And to think I hated you before" Sam said and both, Natasha and me looked at her confused.

"Hated? Me? You?" Natasha said and I almost laughed.

"Yeah" Same said simply and shrugged.

"But why?"

"How do you mean why? I was about to kiss this monkey over there" she said and motioned on me "for the first time and you came telling us the lunch is ready, breaking our moment"

"Oh yeah, I remember" Natasha said and laughed "it was pretty weird actually, I was confused but I liked you two together since then and I cheered for you"

"Wait you wanted to kiss me that day?" I asked dumbfounded and she groaned putting her hands over her face while Natasha laughed. "Oh" I mumbled.

So that's how we got our breakfast and after finishing it I complimented chief.

"So do you girls have anything planned for today?" Natasha asked.

"Yeah" Sam answered "we will decorate a Christmas tree" and then realization hit me, I don't have a Christmas tree!

"But first we need to go and buy it" I informed.

"Well that's great! You should take and other stuff do we can decorate whole house and yard!" Natasha said excitedly.

"That would be awesome, actually" I said ''But that's a lot of job"

"Who cares? I'm sure everyone would be more than happy to help. You two can start with the tree and we will just go outside"

"Okay, after finishing we'll come to help you as well" Sam said and she smiled.

"Excellent! I'll go and inform the others if you don't need me anymore"

"Sure" I said and with that she left. "You ready to go?"

"Yeah, just let me change quickly"

So here we are, it's noon and we are looking for perfect tree for us. I love this. It's just perfect, everything is. I was holding Sam's hand while going around and looking for some tree we both liked.

"Uh what about this one?" Sam asked showing me one beautiful tree not so far from us.

"Too small" I said. "What about this one?" I asked.

"Too old"

And that's exactly how we spent hours there. I guess Willy and John who were with us got too annoyed and bored so they started looking for the right one as well.

"Girls, I think I found a perfect one!" Willy said from the other side of the row, we walked over there and I saw him standing next to the small tree that barley reached his shoulder.

"Seriously?" I groaned and glared at him and he bursted out laughing.

"Sorry, I had to" he said and I shook my head in disbelief with smile on my face.

"Okay, if someone ever told me picking Christmas tree would be this hard" Sam mumbled.

Suddenly John came running to us.

"I think I found one that you might like" he said "and if you don't, I swear to god I'm going home" he added and I laughed.

"Lead the way" I said and he nodded.

"But my was amazing!" Willy whined and Sam and I laughed.

"Maybe next time, big man" Sam said and literally put her hand on his back pushing him forward.

He turned his head towards the tree and waved "May we meet again, my love" he said and we all bursted out laughing.

"Here we are" John informed after few moments of walking.

I looked at tree and I think it's amazing. It isn't too big, but it isn't small either. I smiled and looked at Sam. And then I got an idea so I smirked and she literally knew what I was thinking about so she nodded. I turned back at John who was waiting impatiently.

"So?" he asked.

"No" I said simply and watched how his expression changed.

"What do you mean no, it's perfect for god's sake!" He said and pulled his head backwards, looking at the sky, three of us trying our best not to laugh "God why god?" He asked with his hands up in air.

I couldn't keep it anymore so I started laughing.

"I'm kidding! It's perfect!" I said and we laughed he glared at me but smiled afterwards.

"Finally" he breathed out.

"What do you think babe?" I asked Sam who was still laughing.

She is finally happy, truly happy. Without any care on the world and I love it. I live just to see hee happy, I live for her smile! What makes my heart beating faster is the fact that I am the one source of her happiness, I'm the one who makes her happy and I will do nothing else but keep doing so.

She nodded "I think it's great for us!"

"Great then, I'm going to talk to staff so they can help us put in the car" Willy said.

"Okay, I'll pay and we'll go buy some decorations and stuff like that. And you two find some good place for it at home alright?" I asked and they nodded.

They left immediately, sending Sam and I needed some alone time. Just when they left she jumped in my arms. I spun her around and giggled. People around watched, some in disgust but we didn't care. We payed, bid our goodbyes and left.

"Okay, so now decorations"

We are back home, it's almost 6pm and it's already dark outside. Actually, I love this part of the year. Boys placed tree near fireplace. It looked amazing, now it was up to me and Sam to decorate it.

Before starting anything, we put pizza and hot cocoa on the table. Everyone else are outside, making everything look perfect.

"You ready?" I asked with smile and she nodded excitedly.

We started putting stuff on the tree, we had so much fun! Although it took us more than an hour we weren't tired at all because it was relaxing. Pizza was gone way too soon but whatever. I took few pictures of her being focused on what she is doing. One, her on hee toes with her tongue out, I posted on instagram with caption "First Christmas tree with this one"

Finally, after quite some time there was only one item left to be placed on top of the tree. A star.

"Shit how are we going to put this there?" Sam asked and pointed on top of the tree. "Do you have lather or something?" she asked while looking at me, her hands on her hips.

I smirked something coming to my mind.

"I have a better idea"

"I hate when you say that" she mumbled and shook her head, my smile growing bigger.

And soon she was on my shoulders trying to  put a star on.

"Please don't fall" I said and she chuckled.

"Well don't let me fall"

"Never"

"Done" she exclaimed happily and I put her down. "And you already did once" she corrected, her hands on my shoulders.

"What? When?" I asked, confusion written all over my face.

"When you let me fall for you" she said and brought me closer.

"Smooth motherfu-" but I was stopped from speaking by her lips pressed against mine and I am glad I was.

We pulled away eventually, looking at each others eyes.

"Look love, this is our baby" she said referring to a tree.

"Let's call it Antonio!" I said and she bursted out laughing.

''You are crazy"

"About you" I said and pecked her lips few times. "Let's go out and help others."

Sam's P.O.V.

It's Christmas eve! I just got up and I'm in the bathroom now. Dušica is still peacefully sleeping. I basically moved in here. If I go home that's maybe for a day and then I come back, or she comes there so I wouldn't have to  sleep alone.

I walked downstairs in intention to prepare something for my girl. Anything better than breakfast in bed? I don't think so.

It took me awhile to prepare everything but after I finally did I went upstairs. She was still sleeping. I placed tray on the night table and sat on the end of the bed. I smiled and bit my lip.

I kissed her forehead gently, then cheek, nose and finally lips. She smiled through kiss. She was awake all this time... She grabbed me by the waist and turned us around so now she was on top of me. She smiled and sat on my abdomen. Her hair was messy and she was wearing red sweater with Santa printed on it and only panties. She looks so so gorgeous like this, like a little kid.

"Hi" she said with smile, her voice hoarse which I really really hot.

"Well hello there" I said with my hands on her hips.

She lifted my shirt and put her hands on my stomach while biting her lip.

"I made you something for breakfast" I said and she smirked.

"I don't say whatever you made isn't good, but I have a better idea" she said and leaning forwards kissing my neck.

As much as I'd like to spend Christmas just with her, we will not be alone. We will literally have four families over. My parents, her parents, Elena and her parents and finally Mia and her parents are coming over. Well basically all this people know each other anyways so why not. It will definitely be fun to have them all over.

Zoe and Nikola are already here, as well as my parents. Mia and Elena will be here soon. I think this will be amazing. No one else is here, Dušica insisted for them to leave and spend time with their families.

When Mia and Elena came together with their parents we just sat at living room, talking and enjoying each other's company.

Soon, four of us went in the kitchen. It was our job to make proper dinner for tonight.

"So, what are we guys going to make?" Elena asked.

"Nothing" Mia said and sat down at the counter "Dušica is probably going to make it all by herself" she said with smirk and my baby groaned.

"I'm here to help" Elena said cutely and Mia and I exchanged quick glance and shrugged.

"Your choice" Mia said and put her hand under her chin.

Well, whatever, we ended up doing everything together. We had sooo much fun, seriously everything was perfect.

When we finished everything, our moms decided to set a table. It was really fun to watch you know. They all basically knew each other as much as we knew one another.

We ate, talked, had fun and things like that. Not much after the dinner our parents went to sleep. One by one.

"Old people" Mia mumbled and we chuckled.

It was only the four of us now. We sat by the fireplace. I snuggled close to Dušica and Elena close to Mia. We drunk wine, not Dušica of course, and just watched fire peacefully. We didn't talk much really, I would catch the two making out and Dušica would tell them to find a room but they would just laugh it off. It was fun to say at least and calming. House was decorated amazingly, I loved every single detail.

Soon Mia and Elena wished us goodnight and left.

"I thought they will never leave" Dušica said and tried to kiss me but "Bitch, I heard that!" Mia peeked but before she could tell anything else Elena grabbed her hand and pulled her away leaving the two of us laughing.

I wrapped my arms around her neck and pulled her closer.

"I love you" she whispered and kissed my nose which made me giggle.

"I love you more"

"Babe wake up!" I whined happily, I was straddling her and she was still sleeping on our bed.

"What?" she groaned and slowly opened her eyes.

Aww my cute baby! I wish you could look at her, actually no, no way.

"Merry Christmas!"  I said excitedly and hugged her, laying on top of her literally.

She giggled sweetly hugging me back and kissing every part of my face.

"Merry Christmas love"  she said and cupped my face bringing it closer to hers, placing her lips on mine.

I think it's the right time to say it now. I practiced it enough with Mia. I pulled away and smiled.

"Odjebi" I said and bit my lip waiting for her to react.

She raised her eyebrow. "What did you just said?"

I tilted my head and stared at her "I said that I love you" I said simply with shrug. Did I really said it so weird that she didn't even understand.

She then bursted out laughing and I looked at her weirdly. What the hell?

"Babe" she started but laughed again "You literally told me to fuck off!" she said and started laughing even more.

My jaw dropped open and I leaned my head backwards sighing.

"Mia, you are so dead" I said jumped off of her going out of the room.

"Babe wait!" She said I already was out of the room.

I bursted into Mia's room only to find these two on top of each other.

"For god's sake Sam knock!" Elena said and put cover over her but I didn't care.

Mia watched at me dumbfounded and Dušica Walked in, still laughing.

"Morning" she said.

"So odjebi huh?" I asked Mia who finally realized what was going on and she started laughing as well.

"Oh god" she laughed and I groaned taking one small pillow and throwing it at her.

"Guys, go away! I'm naked" Elena whined and Dušica pulled me outside.

"This is not over!" I yelled to Mia and she nodded with smile.

I sat back on our bed and sighed.

"Come on Sammy, don't be mad" she said and I looked up at her.

"What did you just call me?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Sammy"

"I love that" I said and she walked closer to me.

"But babe, if you wanted to know how to say something on my language you should just come to me" she said and knelt in front of me her hands on my knees.

"It should have been a surprise" I mumbled and she smiled then sat at my lap.

She kissed me gently and I finally smiled. She pulled away and tuck strain of my hair behind my ear.

"Volim te" she whispered and I tilted my head.

"Volim te?" I asked and she nodded.

"Volim te" she repeated and kissed me gently, while cupping my face.

And after that we went downstairs and with everyone else opened presents.

Dušica's P.O.V.

It's the first day of school after a winter break. After Christmas, parents left four of us alone and we invited Emili and Ana for a few days. We spent New year together as well. It was really nice.

It's first day and Ms. Smith thought it would be a good idea if she give us a test today. I already finished everything and gave my paper to her. I still don't know why I have to do this stuff, I have 3 degree after all, but never mind.

I sat down next to Sam. She was so focused on her paper. I think she finished everything already but she just kinda stared at it.

I smiled and put my hand on her tight, she tensed a bit and looked at me but didn't say anything. I moved my hand up to the zipper of her jeans and she literally jumped.

"Relax" I whispered and she glared at me.

"Not now" she said and I pouted.

She got up and placed her paper on Ms. Smith's desk.

"You two may leave Sam" teacher said and smirked!

Oh god, I wanted to laugh but Sam glared at me so we just grabbed our stuff and walked away.

"Babe, are you okay? You kinda look distant" I asked once when we were out and she looked at me and shrugged

"I don't know, I have this really bad feeling and I don't know what's going on" she said and I took her hand.

"Hey babe, everything is okay, and nothing bad is going to happen." I said and kissed her forehead and she sighed.

"I really hope you are right" she said and I smiled.

"I always am" I said and she giggled, well at least I made her laugh.

Dear god, it's Finally lunch time. I'm starving!  We were sitting at the table, eating without much talk. Sam's hand slid into mine and I looked at her.

"Something bad is going to happen, I just know it" she whispered.

"Baby, relax please" I said gently and kissed her knuckles.

She took a deep breath and nodded.

After few minutes group of guys were walking pass our table. They were laughing and chatting and I don't know why but I needed to look up. And just when I did I met the eyes I told to myself I will never forget.

My whole body tense up when our eyes met. He froze in his place.

"Y-You" was all I could say before I lose it

Third person P.O.V.

Dušica suddenly jumped from her seat and grabbed guy by his collar. It was played too quickly that no one even realized what was going on.

"YOU KILLED MY SISTER!" she screamed and with her forehead punched his nose, guy falling down immediately.

Before he could got up Dušica was on top of him, punching his face rapidly. You could see fear in his eyes.

Mia and Sam were already on their feet, rushing towards Dušica to stop her. They couldn't believe what was going on, why just now when everything was perfect and everyone was happy???

"Babe stop!" Sam said and they somehow managed to pull her away.

Sam turned Dušica's body towards her so they were facing each other.

"Calm please" she said but nothing, other girl was shaking "Look at me" she said and cupped Dušica's face.

Other girl sighed, closed her eyes for a second and took a deep breath. Mia placed hand on her shoulder helping her to relax. Guys were helping Henry Jonas to get up.

"Baby, calm down, he isn't worth it" Sam said worriedly.

"He killed her, It's his fault my sister is dead Sam" she said with bitterness in her voice.

"I didn't kill her" he said when he was up and Dušica suddenly turned punching his jaw sending him back down.

She kneeled down next to him and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, lifting his upper body a little from the floor. She closed her eyes and sighed.

"Go." She said "leave this city, leave this state, level this fucking continent, go somewhere where I won't find you because I swear to god, if I ever see you again, it will be your last day on this Earth. I'll kill you! Have I made myself clear?" she asked and he nodded rapidly "Good. Now go!" She spat and pushed him backwards.

His face was covered with blood but he didn't care, he got up and ran away from the cafeteria. Dušica got up and sighed, she punched the wall and her hand just started bleeding even more.

Sam tried to reach her but she just pushed her away, gently though, and took her jacket and started walking away. People were looking at her but she ignored them.

"Move!" She said to group of people that was near the exit.

"I need to go after her" Sam mumbled and Started running out together with Mia and Elena.

She ran down the hallways and realized they came here with motorcycle. She can't let her drive like this. No way!

Just when they were out Dušica started the motor and just when she was on the road, big truck came out of nowhere in full speed and bumped into her, sending her motorcycle flying meters away. Sam froze in her place while watching what happened. Person who was driving truck just kept driving away. Dušica's motionless body was laying there and people started getting out of their cars.

Sam in the other hand started running there. Tears running down her face, Mia was just behind her.

People made circle around Dušica but no one actually did anything. Sam somehow made her way there, pushing people away. She could barley see from the tears in her eyes.

"No, no, no, no" she repeated over and over again when she knelt down.

She put her hand behind Dušica's head to support it but when she pulled away she saw blood on her shaking hand.

"Someone call 911!" Mia yelled with her hands in her hair.

Dušica's hair was all over her face and when Sam moved it aside she saw that blood was going out of her mouth but she didn't move, her eyes were closed. Only voices you could hear were Sam's. Her crying and yelling.
