Chapter 42

Sam's P.O.V.

It's been two weeks since we come back from London. We stayed there just for the weekend, we had dinner with Sarah before we left. I really like that girl and looks like Dušica likes her as well because they keep on calling each other every other day.

Anyway, things are better than ever. My baby is happy, I am happy, everything is amazing. Tomorrow is final volleyball game of the season. Our girls are playing against the team that always beat ours. That's actually one of Dušica's parents' school which I find really funny. Girls are like so excited and nervous at the same time, but they all believe in win.

Anyway, right now I'm sitting outside of school waiting for Dušica and Mia, because Ms. Rose kicked cheerleaders out! Hello? Who does that!? Elena left, because she had something to do with her parents, so I'm just now sitting alone under the tree. I could just go to school but I'm really bored so I just leaned against the tree and closed my eyes.

Everything's perfect.

"Hey, Sam" someone said which made me open my eyes.

"Hi" I said while looking at boy with blonde hair. "Sorry, do I know you?" I asked and he blushed.

"Yeah, well, I'm Leo, we have French class together" he said and I smiled, well of course I don't know him because on that class I kinda have my attention only on one person.

"Sorry, I don't really pay attention on people" I said and he blushed even more, okay I am making him embarrassed. "I didn't mean it like that" I added and he shook his head.

"It's okay" he said and smiled "Anyway, I am really hungry and I saw you siting here alone so I was wondering would you come with me to maybe grab a lunch" he asked and run one hand through his hair nervously.

"You know what, I am hungry" I said realizing that I have like hour more to wait, so why not just kill that time.

"Great" he said and took my hand to help me get up. "So, is there anything special you want to eat?"

I shrugged "I'm always up for a good pizza" I said and he laughed.

"Well pizza it is"

I declined his invitation to go with the same car. He just told me where we are heading and I said I'll wait him there, so that's how it was.

I was there just few minutes before him. When he came we walked in and ordered.

"So, tell me something about yourself" he said with smile and I raised eyebrow at him.

"Not really fan of small talks" I said and he gulped "sorry, I didn't mean to offend you"

"Nah, that's fine" I said and pizza finally come at our table. Okay, I am really hungry so I didn't bother to listen to him talking about some stuff.

"I was wondering" he started "are you going to cheer for volleyball finale? Because its not played on our court and all"

"Yeah, I am" I answered "it's different for finale you know, both schools' cheer squads will perform no matter where it's played so yeah."

"Oh bummer" he mumbled.

"Why?"

"Don't get me wrong, I love watching you cheer" okay creep "but I thought maybe you'd like to go with me on a game" he said.

"Well too bad"

We finished our meal in silence, and soon we were out. We sat down on bench, seriously I don't know why but okay.

"You know, I wanted to tell you this for a long time." he started and I looked at him "I really really like you. Since first day I saw you."

I opened my mouth to say something but no words came out.

Before I knew it, his hands were cupping my face. It felt so harsh against my skin, I was frozen, couldn't move. His lips pressed against mine, and I realized how softer Dušica's lips are. Yep, I definitely am gay.

I pushed him away and he stared at me while touching his lips.

"Sorry, but I'm with someone" I said and got up, I just realized I was way too nice to him, so I turned around "and don't talk to me, ever again" I added and walked away.

Once in my car I punched steering wheel "Agh!" my hands were through my hair. I felt so bad, like I just betrayed my girl.

"Jeez" I mumbled and turned the engine on.

Soon my phone vibrated and I saw it was message from Dušica.

"Just finished. Where are you, babe?"

I sighed and quickly typed "Be there in 5" while I was waiting for green light.

I just parked on parking lot, and when I exited my car I saw Dušica leaning on her own waiting for me. People were around but Mia was nowhere to be found. I have to tell her about Leo.

"Where's Mia?" I asked when I was close enough but she just ignored my question.

"Come with me" she said and walked into school. What the hell?

I followed and she opened restroom door for me to walk in. No one was there when she closed door behind her.

"So, you missed me?" I asked and put my hands on her hips but she just pulled away.

"I did, indeed" she said, well she clearly doesn't act like that "but then I got this" she said and handed me her phone while sitting on sink.

I took it and saw it was message from Tom. What the?

~Looks like lovebirds aren't so in love~ it says with pictures of Leo kissing me attached.

"Babe, I can explain" I said and she nodded.

"Please do" she said, you could feel sadness in her voice as well as anger, but she was calm and I am so glad she wasn't like 'I don't wanna hear it' and that kind of crap.

"Look, this guy have French with us, and I was sitting under the tree waiting for you and he came. He was like I am really hungry, and I saw you sitting here alone so I wondered if you'd like to go with me for eat something."

"And you just had to go?"

"Well, I was hungry" I mumbled but she didn't smile "So we went to this restaurant, ate pizza and left. He said he liked me and all that crap and all of sudden he just kissed me, as soon as I realized what was happening I pushed him away" I said and walked over to her "I didn't do anything, and I really wanted to tell you but just when I came you were like come with me and I freaked out. Please baby, trust me" I pleaded and she looked me deeply in the eyes.

It passed a moment and I was nervously bitting my lip.

"I trust you" she finally said and I let out breath I didn't know I was holding. "I was so scared" she mumbled and I cupped her cheeks.

"Babe, I'm so sorry" I said and kissed her lips gently.

"Maybe another one of these would help me to calm down" she said with smirked and I pulled her off of a sink.

"Wait, what is the name of this guy again?" She asked and I shook my head "babe, I need to know who am I going to kill" she added and I chuckled.

I cupped her cheeks again "You are not thinking straight" I said and she just spread her hands "that's because I'm gay!" she said and we both silent for second but then bursted out laughing like crazy.

We kissed deeply, she was smiling all the time and suddenly we heard door opening. She pushed me in one of stalls and closed the door. She started cursing on every single language she knew and I almost bursted out laughing from the other side.

"Are you okay?" some girl asked.

"Hm? Okay? Of course! Just - of course" Dušica said and girl chuckled and I think she walked away.

"Babe you can come out" Dušica said "again" she whispered an bursted out laughing.

I walked out and smacked the back of her head which just made her laugh even more.

"You know what, let's make a deal"

"What deal?"

"If we win the game tomorrow, I am going to kiss you in front of everyone there, so evey single fucking person know you are mine" she said and I really liked idea of that. "Deal?"

"Deal" I said and jumped on her, wrapping my legs around her waist and kissing  her again.

Third person's P.O.V.

It's game day! So it's played at other school. Sam and Dušica are driving together with Mia and Elena. Just when Dušica parked car on school parking lot Sam took her hand.

"Everything's going to be fine, just relax and remember that you are the best" she said and kissed nervous girl.

"Thanks, babe" Dušica said and took a deep breath. "Mia, you ready to kick some asses?"

"I've been waiting for too long" Mia said and they all laughed before leaving the car.

They changed in locker room and cheerleaders were first to walk out. Sam put her hand on her girlfriend's shoulder and smiled at her.

Other girls followed closely after. Gym was full of people! It was crazy! Dušica's and even Sam's parent were sitting next to each other cheering for their daughters. Dušica was so nervous about the game but everyone assured her everything's going to be fine.

Game started and girls were amazing. Cheerleaders were standing aside, Sam couldn't watch. She was so proud of her girl but she had a very bad feeling. Dušica was amazing, people were screaming her name, crowd were going crazy for all the things she was doing. It was 2:0 in sets, one more set and game is over. Ana was so happy, this never happened before and she wanted to jump on Dušica and kiss her all over her face. Every time out was time for cheerleaders. Music was playing load and everyone enjoyed.

Suddenly when Dušica was in jump for spike, she punched ball so hard, pint was immediately for them, but she fell weirdly on her ankle, and even girl from other team stood on it from her jump. Dušica fell down and other girl smirked.

Sam wanted to run over there but Elena quickly put hand on her shoulder and shook her head. Sam bit her lip and looked away.

Mia helped Dušica up, but she couldn't stand on her left leg. Mia and Ana walked her over to bench and she sat down immediately. People clapped for her and Ms. Rose immediately called doctor over there. Pain was real and she couldn't stand.

Mia was worried as well, but she couldn't do anything. Game went on and it was a disaster! Very soon it was 2:2. Ms. Rose called so many time outs but nothing. Dušica was freaking out. Honestly, game was amazing to watch but everyone was pissed. Dušica the most, because she blamed herself. She felt less pain in her leg and after puting ice on it she could stand again but it would be painful.

Who is the first team to win this set with just 15 points, is the winner. It was 11:8 for other team and serves was for us.

"Ms. Rose, let me in, please! I can stand" Dušica pleaded but Ms. Rose didn't want to hear about it.

...12:8....

People were freaking out! Ana was about to kill someone so was everyone else.

...12:9...

Ms.Rose called time out again. She talked how her girls can do this and pep talks like that but no one believed.

"Nikolic!" She called and Dušica immediately stood up. "Go show them how to serve"

Dušica smiled and nodded. She took the ball and walked over the line. She looked at Sam who nodded. Dušica took deep breath and throw ball in the air, and punched it as hard as she could. Point! Immediately! Everyone screamed and Sam jumped from happiness.

She saw pain in Dušica's eyes but other girl just tried to ignore it.

"I can do this" she whispered to herself.

One point, second, third. Other team took time out. Two more points and other team is losing this game.

Dušica took ball again and throw it again, now she just used jump serve for first time in the game but ball flew through field and girls threw it back but point was ours again.

'Just one more' she thought. And again. She did the same thing. And BOOM. Point!

No one could believe what happened, every single of them run towards Dušica jumping on her. They all cried and screamed. Crowd went wild. Her parents were jumping like kids as well as Sam's, they were proud of their, they hoped soon to be, daughter-in-law.

When everyone were off of Dušica, Mia helped her to stand up and she turned around to face Sam. She smiled and spread her hands. Sam smiled and ran like she was running for her life, instead to her life, and jumped on Dušica who spun her around. Her legs were around Dušica's waist and her arms around her neck.

"I am so so proud of you, babygirl" Sam said and Dušica smiled.

"I love you" she said and slowly placed her lips on Sam's. Other girl smiled but kissed back immediately.

All the chatting and screaming went low. You couldn't hear anything, people were staring, other players and cheerleaders were staring. No one said anything while girls were kissing.

Sam pulled away and kissed Dušica's forehead and round of applause was heard. People cheered again and some even whistling.

Girls smiled and kissed again. And that's how everyone found out about their undying love.
