Chapter 39

Sam's P.O.V.

It has been three weeks since the incident in the restroom. Everything is fine right now, Tom hasn't talked to us since then, maybe he didn't even remember what happened but who cares, right?

It was begging of November and weather was better than ever, it wasn't really cold nor hot, just perfect. Me and my baby are still together, don't worry, no fighting, just kissing and loving. No one in school knew about us but everyone did know about Mia and Elena. People seems to really ship them, that's crazyy!

Something is weird tho, Dušica has been acting really strangely this weekend but I didn't really want to push her you know, I know she will open up to me when she is ready but I'm actually worried. Wait a second... What if she doesn't love me anymore? That could be possible right? Of course it could! What if she doesn't feel like before? What if - Oh god, I don't really know what to do. Should I confront her or maybe not?

I'm sitting on my bad, playing with my phone, literally not doing anything but throwing it from hand to hand, dressed up for school ready to go but I just can't move my feet. I looked at corner of my room where that big teddy bear was sitting with Mickey in his lap, I immediately smiled remembering our time in France and that double date. Suddenly, phone vibrated in my hands. Message from Dušica. I immediately opened it and smiled.

~ Good morning, sunshine. Would you be kind enough to get your beautiful ass down, I'm waiting for you  ~

I was planning to go alone, but she always have better planes than me. I could literally see her smirking while writing this. God, I love her, I think couldn't deal with life without her. She is just so pure, she bright whole room just with one simple smile. She is everyone someone could ask for.

I put leather jacket on and walked out. Once, in front of the building I saw my girl waiting for me on her motorcycle. Her helmet was in her hands, wind blowing her hair. She was so gorgeous! Of course, she wore black ripped jeans, black leather jacket and combat boots. She looked up and smiled when she saw me.

"Hey baby" she greeted and I peck her lips quickly. Her smile grew wider and she handed me my helmet.

I sat down behind her and put it on, she put hers on as well and I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist when she started the engine. I heard her chuckle trough little speakers inside the helmet.

"You are still not used to this are you?" she asked while riding.

"Nope" I said honestly, although she drives really carefully and she doesn't drive fast, at least when I'm with her, but I know she loves fast ride, I'm not a fan of motorcycle so what can I say.

The thing I realized is that she never, and I mean never, drive fast on the busy roads, she is kinda scared after what happened to Alexandra that she might hurt other, she doesn't care if she'd hurt herself but others comes first, and honestly sometimes I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing about her. She is just too good you know, trying to make everyone happy in some way.

Before I even knew it, we were parked in front of school. She took off her helmet and I did the same, she looked at me and smiled weakly. I jumped down and looked at her with raised eyebrow.

"What?" she asked genuinely confused, standing next to me.

"We really have to talk" I mumbled, scared of consequences that might happen.

She sighed and nodded "I know, I have to tell you something as well" she said and my heart stopped beating.

What is going on? Is she - is she going to break up with me? Oh my god, I should've just shut the fuck up.

"Sam?" I could barley hear her voice, I was just staring at her blankly until she shook my shoulders "Come one baby, we're gonna be late" she said with sweet smile and I just nodded and walked in school leaving her behind.

I was sitting all class in my chair without uttering one single word. Dušica looked genuinely concerned but I just couldn't speak, I couldn't really face her. Between the classes I'd just, well, I'd literally run away. It was time for lunch right now. And suddenly I bumped into someone and just when I was ready to yell at person I saw it was Mia.

"Oh, Mia, thank God!" I mumbled and took her hand dragging her with me to the restroom.

"Wow hey to you too Sam" she said but I just ignored her until I opened door and saw few more girls in there.

"Out!" I didn't have to tell them twice, they were already gone.

"What's  up, you know how much I love food, so this better be important" Mia said while I were checking all stools if someone was, I didn't want the same thing to happen as the last time did I?

When all was clear, I faced Mia and shook my head finally realizing how stupid I must have looked.

"I think Dušica is going to break up with me"

"WHAT?" Mia gasped and walked towards me "Are you out of your freaking mind?" she whispered, although I have no idea why.

"I mean she has been really distant lately" I mumbled, "she rearly laugh or even smile, she doesn't talk much, and this morning I told her we really needed to talk and she was like yeah I have something to tell you too! What the hell is that supposed to mean!?" I whisper-yelled.

"Well, that actually is weird and doesn't sound like her at all." Mia said.

"I know" I sighed and run hand through my hair in frustration. This is crazy!

"Wait" Mia said and turned around to face me "Which date is today?"

"Uh, it's Monday, 6th November. Why?" I asked confused.

"Oh my god!" Mia exclaimed and put  hand over her mouth "Oh my god!" she yelled again, turning away of me and her hands were in her hair.

"Okay, Mia what the fuck I going on?" I asked frustrated. Seriously, it's not time to think about something like that. Why the hell she cares which date I today?

"Tenth" she whispered.

"What?" I asked but she didn't reply "Mia what  about 10th?" I spun her around only to find her with tears in her eyes. what the actual fuck!?

"It's a date of Alex's death" she whispered and my hand fell down.

I felt numb, I couldn't really move nor speak. She looked at me with teary eyes and I didn't know what to do.

"Oh god" I gulped, here I was making it all about myself, giving her cold shoulder. God, I hate myself right now. "Come on, we have to go" I said and Mia nodded.

We walked into cafeteria and walked over to Elena but Dušica wasn't there, okay I was getting really nervous.

"Babe, have you seen Dušica anywhere?" Mia asked and Elena shook her head.

"I thought she was with you guys. Why, what happened?"

"I'll tell you later, but right now we have to find her"

"You stay here" I said to Mia "I'm going to look for her, we have French together after this anyway" I added and she was ready to argue but I just looked at her sternly.

I walked away and took out my phone, I tried calling her but nothing. I literally looked everywhere in school but no sound of her. I sighed and decided to just walk to our French class, she has to be there right? I got there just in time and when I walked in she wasn't there. I sat at my place silently and waited. Maybe she is just late, right? Yeah, she knows to do that.

Half of period passed by quickly and she still wasn't here, guess she won't show up after all.

I took out my phone and quickly texted Mia.

~ I've been looking everywhere for her and couldn't find her, she didn't come to class ~

~I called her and texted but nothing, Mia I'm seriously worried!~ I sent another one and sighed, this is not good.

Mia didn't reply, great, what am I supposed to do now. I have practice after this class and I don't really know how to do it, I not in mood.

Finally, after what looked like days, bell rung. I hurried outside and immediately went to the gym, just so I could change. After few minutes I sat down there alone in my uniform, when others girls started coming in. I would look up every time doors would open just to see if my girl is coming in, but no.

Ana was there looking weirdly at me.

"Hey, are you okay?" she asked with raised eyebrow and sat next to me.

"Yeah, fine" I mumbled but looks like she didn't buy it.

"Sam, come on, talk to me" she whispered and I shook my head.

"I told you, I'm fine" I repeated and she rolled her eyes, just when she was about to say something more, Ms. Rose called her.

"Saved by the bell" she mumbled and walked away.

Just when I was about to give up of waiting, door opened and Dušica walked in together with Mia and Elena. They all were already dressed up. The two left us alone, I mean as alone as we could be with other five girls still changing, but they didn't really pay attention.

I opened my mouth to say something but words just couldn't left my mouth. She smiled a little.

"Mia told me" she said with sadness in her eyes.

"I-" but, of course, I was cut by yelling of Ms. Rose.

"Get out already, we have to start!" She yelled and Dušica smiled at me, her hand was on my elbow.

"I have to go, but we'll talk later, okay?" she asked and I could only nod before she walked away.

Oh god, what have I done!?
