Chapter 22

Sam's P.O.V.

We were walking towards gym and it was already too long day for me. I couldn't wait to come home and sleep.

I swear, this morning when Dušica literally ignored my existence I was so pissed. I was like what have I done now?

I thought for a second she was jealous of that guy that was talking to me this morning, but then again, why would she? Don't get your hopes up Sam!

But seriously I don't even know who that guy is, he was annoying but I totally ignored him when I heard Dušica's name. Stop Sam for god's sake!

After all, I did good thing when I dragged her into restroom. But once again, I was pissed when Kendall came. Uh that girl! She goes on my nerves so much!

But after all she likes my gift, huh? Do you know how hard is it to find black and white roses? But it was worth it after seeing her smile. Anyway she is going to get them every day from now. I instantly smiled and couldn't help but keep it there whole time. You won't tell her, will you?

"Sam?" Elena called for me and broke my thoughts.

I blinked few times "Yeah?"

"Why are you smiling like that?" she asked with raised eyebrow.

We were already in front of gym and attention of all girls were on me now.

"Umm, why? Is it crime now to smile?" I asked

"No, it is not. But it is just creepy, you look like Joker" Mia added and we all burst out laughing.

"Well thank you" I said while rolling my eyes.

We walked in dressing room and other girls were already in there. But no one actually was changing which was weird. All of us sat down except Mia.

"Why are you girls aren't changing?" Mia asked while looking at each of them.

"Ms. Rose got a call from principal office right now and she said we don't have to do anything if we don't want too" some girl answered.

"Well that's good. I really didn't want to get sweaty today" Mia added and sat at Dušica's lap who immediately wrapped her arms around her best friend's waist.

Mia whispered something on Serbian which made Dušica laugh.

"Let's go out" I said and got up.

Other girls followed and we were at gym, boys were just sitting at bench and chatting. When they saw us, everyone stopped talking and started whistling. That always happen when girls walk out. They are worst than horny dogs. I rolled my eyes and sat down at floor.

What do you think who sat next to me? Dušica? Right! Shit, my poor heart won't handle this.

Elena lay down and put her head in Dušica's lap. Oh dear god how much I wish I am the one whose head is there. Don't think anything pervert! I sighed and leaned at wall behind me.

Mia, Emili and Ana sat down with us. I notice everyone was staring but no one actually dared to come to us.

Jon and Tom was standing not so far from us, talking to some guys. He looked at us and I saw Jon gulped. I wanted to laugh so much when I remembered what he asked me this morning when I came at school. He was like 'should I bow to her or something?'.

"Are they ignoring me or what?" Dušica asked with giggle.

"They do, because they have no idea how to act" Ana said and chuckled.

Dušica laughed and shook her head in disbelief with amused look on her face.

"Elena, I need to get up" she shook Elena's body because she almost fall asleep.

"Where are you going?" she asked moved even closer to her.

"I need to talk to this two" she nodded towards Jon and Tom whose back were facing us.

"This will be interesting" Elena said and immediately got up.

We laughed when Dušica crack her knuckles. She got up and walked towards them. When she was close I could see her biting her lips to prevent herself from laughing. Five of us silently laughed our asses off when she smacked back of their heads.

Guys that was with them froze and Jon was ready to punch person but when he saw it was Dušica he gulped.

She talked with them for few minutes and then smile appeared on Tom's face. He hugged her.

"I don't bite Jon" she said which made him smile and he joined hug. We could hear her chuckle.

"Group hug" said Mia with giggle "One of things she love the most"

I mentally told myself to remember that. They finally pulled away and she messed Jon hair with giggle. We all know he hate that but she quickly run away towards us.

"You'll see for this!" Jon yelled after her but soon smile appeared on his face.

Guys that was with him and Tom were literally speechless.

She sat down with us and smiled. Please don't tell me something can happen between this two!

Elena quickly put her head back at her lap and closed her eyes. Dušica played with her hair and smiled. Other girls were so lost in their conversation they didn't even notice she came back.

I just stared at her whole time, admiring every inch of her face. She is just perfect, with high cheekbones, full kissable lips, that beautiful eyes of hers and everything else.

"You are staring" she whispered laud enough for just me to hear, still not looking at me.

I blushed slightly and bit my lip "I am not"

"Yes, you are" she said and nodded.

"I am admiring" I corrected her.

"That's creepy" she said and looked at me with wide smile.

No, it's romantic. I thought for myself.

She looked at me with raised eyebrow and blushed while biting her lips.

Oh my god! Did I just said it out load!?

"Yes. Yes you did" she said with chuckle.

I immediately face palmed myself and looked away. Dear god, I really need to stop talking to myself.

"Hey" she said but I still was looking away, my face red like tomato.

"Look at me" she said and gently grabbed my chin and turned my head so I was facing her now.

She kissed my cheek and whispered "It is romantic indeed"

I blushed even harder and smiled. She looked down at Elena and kept playing with her hair.

Suddenly Ana gasped and we all looked at her confused.

"Oh. My. God!" she said and put her hands on her mouth.

"What!?" we all asked at same time.

"Our Sam is blushing!" she pointed at me.

"What!?'' I asked, well more kinda yelled.

Elena opened her eyes and immediately got up.

"Oh my god! It's true!" she said in shock.

Actually everyone was in shock!

"Someone said Sam is blushing!?" Tom and Jon appeared behind us.

They looked at me and their jaws drop open. I covered my face with hands and groaned.

"Shut the fuck up!" I got up and started walking towards dressing room.

They laughed and I heard Dušica said "You guys are such an idiots" which really made me smile.

At least she cares. I sat at one of bench and took out my phone. I was scrolling through Instagram, and picture of Dušica appeared. She still post inspirational quotes every morning but there is few pictures of her.

I stared at picture like some kind of creep and smile crept on my face. Suddenly voice startled me.

"Are you okay?"

I almost fall down from bench after I heard that angelic voice.

She quickly run towards me and catch my arm pulling me up.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you" she said sweetly.

"It's fine" I replied with small smile and quickly turned my phone off.

"They really was annoying" she said and sat next to me crossing her legs, Indian style.

"It's okay, they were shocked. I would probably act the same way" I looked at my watch and smiled. "Let's go"

"Where?" she asked confused.

"To cafeteria. Bell is going to ring five minutes from now we can go if you want"

"Hell yeah, I'm starving" she said and get up taking her backpack and my hand pulling me up immediately.

I started laughing and shaking my head in disbelief. I quickly grabbed my backpack and squeezed her hand which caused small smile on her face to appear.

"I didn't know you are so hungry" I said teasingly.

"I didn't eat before going out this morning" she said with pout.

Do you know how cute she looks when she pout!? That's like the cutest thing ever!

"You are cute when you are pouting" I blurted out before I could even think about what I was going to say.

She looked at me and smiled. "Not cuter than you"

I swear if I wouldn't know better I would think she flirt with me. But Mia did mentioned she is too friendly sometimes.

We came at cafeteria and no one was there, yet. We took our food and I lead her towards table in middle of cafeteria. Just when we sat down bell rung.

"I like it in here" she said and looked around.

"Yeah, it's really nice when it's empty" I said and she chuckled.

"Right. But I really like idea of window there."

Half of wall was all glass, and it looked at big yard behind school.

"Believe it or not, it was my idea" I said proudly.

"No way" she said surprisingly.

I giggled and nodded.

"Wow, someone has sense in interior! I'm impressed!" she said and put hand over her chest.

"But still not better than your grandpa though" I said seriously and we both burst out laughing.

At that moment students started coming inside. When six of our friends took their food they walked towards us.

"Where did you two disappear?" Emili asked when they sat down.

"Seriously, you just left without us! That's not fair" Mia said and Tom kissed her temple immediately calming her.

"I was hungry" Dušica said simply and kept eating.

"We can see that" Elena added with giggle and put her arm around Dušica's shoulder.

"Anyway, are you ready for tryouts?" Ana asked.

"Of course, it'll be fun"

"Ms.Rose will definitely love you" Mia added.

"I hope so"

"We will be there too" Jon said.

"What? Why?" Dušica asked, a little nervously if I may add.

"Why not? Don't worry, it's going to be just us two, if Ms. Rose and Mrs. Baldwin let us though" Tom said and shrugged.

Dušica finished her meal and she started drinking juice when Ana suddenly said "I met my neighbor's five years old daughter and she literally run away from me every time she see me. And I'm just like I don't bite for god's sake"

Dušica almost spit her drink and started laughing. We all looked at her and she put her hand over her face.

"T-That's... Because y-you lick!" she said between laughs and we burst out laughing even Ana herself.

"Sorry" she said and kept laughing.

Ana playfully smacked back of her head which she instantly scratched.

"But maybe that's right. Kid is scared" Ana said and made thoughtful expression.

"Poor kid" I said with giggle.

Bell rung once again. Dušica and I have French now while others have God knows what.

I picked my things and walked beside Dušica. We were talking about some things I didn't even know how we come to it.

We walked in class and everyone was there already. We took seat at back row and soon enough teacher come in.

"Settle down class" he said and sat down at his chair, looking through some papers "I think we have new student, please stand up and introduce yourself to class." he said not looking up at all.

Dušica stood up and smiled "Hey, everyone. I'm Dušica Nikolić and-"

But before she could even finish teacher interrupted her "Say what?"

His facial expression was priceless. I wanted to laugh so bad but Dušica saw that and secretly pinched me.

"Dušica Nikolić" she repeated hardly holding her laughter.

"You may sit down"

She sat down and whispered "Don't laugh" not even looking at me.

I bit my lip and looked down, trying not to laugh.

We talked about how her first crush, when she was five had girlfriend and she was jealous. That boy was seventeen, and he was some basketball player.

"So, how did the girl looked like?" I asked.

She glared at me and rolled her eyes "Like something I would draw with my left hand! And I was five years old, you know kids have no idea how to draw." she looked at me "I didn't say like I know how to draw now though"

That's it! I burst out laughing and she joined me immediately.

Everyone turned and looked at us. They was so shocked, because they never heard me laugh obviously but I was enjoying it. Teacher, himself was too shocked to say anything.

Dušica shook her head and stopped laughing. She looked at me like telling me to stop and I somehow managed to do so.

"It was good times" she said jokingly.

"And what about now?" I asked.

"Well, it's good now too. I met some pretty cool people" she said with smile.

"And I guess I am one of them, aren't I? People just can't resist me" I said with smirk.

"Don't flatter yourself, princess" she said and put her head on my shoulder.

I tensed a little, but soon relaxed.

"I won't, Ms. Giggler" I said which made her giggle like always.

I adore her giggle! I really enjoyed every moment spent with her! I just can't wait for us to be alone. I don't know why, but I just feel like I can't be me anymore without her. Kill me please!
