Abhi

I go to bar and start ordering drinks after having a talk with Rohan.

I crash the vase. We are in dark corner of the place. So, nobody can see me and I take my anger on the things.

"Man, you need to calm down. You don't want to make a scene in the party", Rohan tries to calm me.

"F** the party and F** everyone. I am done with this shit. I did so much for this company and in return of appreciation I get humiliation. Some b** comes and take everything when the company is in heights. Where was she when the company is on verge of bankrupt?", all I see is red.

"Man, calm down. She may be good for the company. We don't know about that", Rohan says.

"Ya, it may be truth. But I want some person to sit on the seat after proving their worth not by birthright, I am going to make her life difficult if she doesn't reach the company expectations", I reply and we move out of the place.

"What are you going to do?", Rohan asks me anxiously.

"I am going to make her regret her life. I am going to be sole owner of the company by hook or nook. I am going to take all her shares and watch her crumble under my feet", I chuckle darkly at that.

Now here I am at the bar waiting to the lady. She is going to come onto stage in some time.

"Hello everyone. Welcome to our 21st anniversary. It has been 21 years we have started this company and we stand as India's top most company. We heartily invite you to be part of our celebrations. I would like to call the Goenka's family on the dais", the anchor speaks.

I get up and go towards the stage at the same time all my family reaches. As we reach the stage a mic is offered to my father which he rejects and offers to me. I take the mic and start speaking.

"Thankyou everyone for attending this party. We are grateful for your support and belief you have given. Till now we didn't face any major losses and we are going to major heights in many fields and we will go reach them. Once again, thank you", I end my speech. All the audience stand and gives me applause. I hand mic to my father.

"Good evening everyone, Thank you for attending this party. I am also sorry for my brother's absence as he is busy in abroad finishing some deals. As my son has said we are grateful for your support. I have an announcement to make. As you all know hoe this company has started. This company belongs to both Goenkas and Rajputs. My friend Arjun has died in an accident along with his wife. You all know they have a daughter. She was kept away from spotlight for some reasons. She is with her Grandmother Anupama Agarwal, owner of Agarwal chain of restaurants", at this she comes on to the stage. My father gives a nod and continues his speech" So on her 21st birthday she is to be announced but unfortunately it can't happen today. She is busy with Agarwal chain of restaurants she can't take part in Meevin. So her announcement will be delayed by 6 months", my father announces.

Not only the audience even I am surprised because of that announcement. Still my father is not finished.

"And also we have great news to announce.  We are going to announce the next CEO my son is going to start from tomorrow. There were no objections or rejections from board members. Even Ms. Rajput was the one who suggested it. He takes charge from tomorrow", he concludes causing a frenzy. I am also shocked. "So, you can ask questions now", my father completes waiting for press.

"Sir, what about Ms. Rajput. If CEO position is given to Mr. Goenka. Is she going to be part of the company?", the first person questions.

"I think you should ask this question after 6 months. Can't the company have 2 CEO's. And I decided about giving my son this position is because he is capable and proved his worth", my father answers. I can't take this anymore. It is suffocating. I should leave. And I left leaving the place in frenzy.

Avni

I leave the place when the press starts asking questions. It is difficult to convince papa. I still feel the look of disappointment in his eyes. I still remember the conversation I had with him.

I still feel terrible. I listen to the things Abhi feel about me. I need to do something about that. I  try to find Rudra papa. I find him in a corner speaking to some guests. I go near him and signal him to follow me. I take them to a corner where no one were present. I turn towards me and see papa giving me confused look and Akshaya with pleading look as if to stop me.

"What happened Avni?", papa questions me.

"Papa, I need to ask you a favor. I don't want you to announce my presence to the world now", I state.

"But, why? We completed all the preparations for your arrival. Even we decided to give half of the company to you", he exclaims.

"That is the thing I don't want papa. I want the company. But not like this, first I want to prove my worth and then to take over the company".

"Ok, I understand that. Then we will do one thing. I'll announce you first then you can start from lower level"

"No, I want my identity anonymous. I don't want to be treated special because of my birthright. I don't need privilege. I am asking you 6 months of time"

"What am I going to tell press now?", he exclaims.

"You can tell them that she is busy taking some deals for my company", Anu says coming towards me and looking proud.

"And I need one more thing to ask. I want you to announce Abhi as next CEO", I say with conviction.

Akshaya, Papa and Anu are shocked of my statement. They know how much I wanted to become a CEO.

"But why?", Papa asks.

"Uncle Abhi has been working in this company for a long time. He made many good deals for the company. He is the reason the company is on the top. I think it is justified", I shrug my shoulders.

"Yes, but how can be this self-less. Always thinking about others. Like your parents", Papa gives me kiss on my forehead and leave.

"Am I doing the wrong thing Anu", I ask her on verge of tears.

"No, I am proud of you. You are doing the correct thing for him. He is a good child and he deserves it. She too gives me a hug and leave.

"I-I don't know to be thankful that you g-gave my brother h-his dream position. O-or b-be sad for you that you lost your dream", Akshaya asks coming near me.

"D-Did I do wrong", I whimper. She hugs me tight.

"No, absolutely not. I feel it is good for you. You can't keep regretting that you didn't do it", she says. "I'll meet you in 5 minutes stay here", she orders and leaves me.

I ignore everything happening in my surroundings and I wander around till I reach a pool. I sit down and keep my feet in water lost in thoughts. I am brought out of it by the clapping sound from the party. I look above into the sky and find some stars.

"Why did you leave me mama? I think you are not happy because of my decision write. Papa, I am such a disappointment to you right. But what can I do? I was afraid till now, when my time came I don't want to snatch other person's work. I feel like it will be cheating. Please come back to me, I don't want to be alone. How can you leave me alone. You should have taken me with you then we could have been happy, as I say that words I feel a slap on my cheek and my head swings to one side but I don't register pain.

"Have you gone mad! what rubbish are you speaking", my best friend shakes me. I give her no reaction. I am just numb. "Please speak something, cry. You stopped crying at age of 10. It is not good to keep emotions boiled up inside you", my friend says and hugs me.

"Why? why did they leave me the same night 16 years ago. I still feel the same pain. I should not have cried that day. See! where it got me", I start trembling and tears start flowing.

"Cry, cry all you want. I'll be here with you."

"I think god don't like me. That's why I keep loosing everything."

"I know that Meevin is your heart then how can you sacrifice your position easily", she asks me once my tears stop.

"Because it is not only my heart but also Abhi's heart. I can't take that from him. And I am not fit for the position of CEO. I am too innocent for that bullshit", I mumble.

"That you are", she chuckles. "Shall we leave I have a surprise for you", she asks after my make-up is cleaned.

"Yes", and we leave.

Now here we are in my room getting ready for god knows what. And I am feeling great after the break-down I had. I send a message to Anu and papa that we will not be at the party for the rest of the time. She has been in that my closet searching a dress for past 30 minutes.

"Come on, still how much time do you need. I am getting irritated now", I grumble.

"Just a minute. Yes, I got the perfect dress for you", she comes out getting a dress ,I didn't think I own.

She do my make-up and my hair. "Now you look awesome", she says and leaves me to get ready. I am looking really pretty. My mood is better now compared to earlier. I wait patiently for Akshaya trying to think about what to do in future. After 30 min she comes out with a beautiful black dress.

"Looking hot babe", I wink at her and she twirls giggling.

"I know right", she says. "Come on. We need to leave now", she takes my hand and drag me out of the room. We take our clutches and check the items. We wear some heels and go to open the door when she stops me.

"I have a gift for you. Now close your eyes now and no peeking", she orders me and pulls me out. She moves some distance and stops. "Now, I am not taking my gift back, so better accept it and open your eyes now."

I open my eyes and see a beautiful white car. "You got me a freaking Audi", I gasp and observe it.

"Yes, and even my parents got you a gift and they will give it to you tomorrow. Do you know my uncle is coming tomorrow. He is awesome. I love him so much and missed him so much", she says with enthusiasm.

"I did not meet him till now. I just listened to you speaking about him", I say.

"I will introduce you to him tomorrow. He is just awesome. You will love him and now let's party", she shouts the last part.

Unknown POV

I look over the person who come into the room.

"We have an update", he says giving me a phone.

I take the phone and press it to my ear. I wait as the person starts speaking on the other line.

"Ms. Rajput has not been announced publicly. But it will happen after two months. And I more thing. Abhi Goenka is announced as CEO and is going to take charge from tomorrow", I didn't wait to listen to what he has to say. I throw the phone at the wall in anger.

"Rudra Goenka, you have saved this girl all these years. Just 6 months she will be with her parents. And Abhi enjoy the life right now. Your life is going to change in some years", I shout angrily.

6 more months.
