XVI. Fun time

Abhi

As a human being and a father to be exact I can accept many things except hurting my daughter, I will not allow that thought. But it goes on happening in my life, I want my daughter to have a life where she can be judged by her skills and I will not stop till I get it.

"Is she an illegitimate child?" That question hurt me more than others, I know Diya will not remember this but I cannot forget that question in my life. After listening to those words, my blood boiled and I was seething in anger. I handed Diya to Avni, I caught the reporter collar and started shouting at him.

"What did you call my daughter? You bastard!" I was about to swing my fist in his direction when someone caught hold of my wrist before it can punch the reporter. I looked up and saw James stopping me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see Rohan, they prevented me before I can cause damage.

"You need to control your anger, Diya is getting afraid by seeing you." At his words, I looked in Diya's direction and found her crying. I went running to my daughter and hugged her, she patted me on my back.

"Dada, I afaid you angry, no angry dada," she reprimands me softly. I chuckled at that with tears in my eyes. I closed my eyes to control my emotion. I opened them and saw Avni looking at me with a look I can't describe.

"Thank you," I mouthed the words to her feeling grateful to have her presence and she nodded her head in response. Papa, Vinay uncle, Rohan and Karthik surrounded us keeping this moment private from the prying eyes. I nodded at them and handed Diya to Avni.

"Ready to charm the people, baby." Diya nodded her head shyly and we faced the world together as a family.

"I did not expect this behavior from you people, how can you call a kid that word? Don't you guys have any ethics! I called her here to give you some information about my daughter but you guys have no patience. I wanted to give you all details regarding her birth, but it will be stated in the statement released by our company." I sighed and signaled to Diya, I explained to her what to tell this morning.

"Hello, Me Dia. I three-year-old, I lowe my dada." She said shyly waving at the reporters and all of them cooed at her words and Diya blushed and hid her face in Avni's neck.

"You all need to know about her is, she is Diya and she is mine and not Ms. Rajput. But we will her good life, so consider this warning, if anyone tried to go near my daughter you can consider yourself dead." I said in a commanding tone and everyone looking nervous, I placed my hand on Avni's lower back and escort her outside.

I felt myself getting angry at the reporter's words, I was about to teach that person a lesson but Abhi took care of it, my admiration for him grew and I felt proud of him. I admire the father and daughter bond, I envied it. I felt happy that Diya had a father who will fight with the whole world for her.

We all went into Abhi's cabin and found Aarav waiting there, we sat and everyone gathered inside. There was a lot of tension in the room, Diya was sitting in my lap analyzing the situation and looking at everyone's face.

"Diya, are you hungry?" I asked her and she nodded and rubbed her stomach.

"Ah, my princess is hungry. How about we fill it up and have some yummy cakes." She squealed and nodded her head eagerly. But her mood was spoiled instantly.

"No, we can't go out in this situation."

"We are going to our bakery and we can have some lunch there, she needs this," I said nodding towards her but that stubborn man did not budge.

"No." I noticed everyone looking at me waiting for my comeback. I got an idea and placed Diya down.

"Sorry Diya, you cannot come dada said no. Come on Aarav, Rohan we will go and have some lunch. We will have burgers, French fries, and some coke. For dessert we will have some ice cream and chocolate cake, I will make it. I am an excellent baker. Bye Diya." I looked at Diya and she was pleading me with her eyes, she has an exciting look in her eyes. I looked at confused Rohan and signaled towards Diya. He realized and nodded his head.

"ok bye princess, I will get you some yummy chocolate cake if possible. If you came with us it could have been fun." He said to Diya and left the room. Diya looked on verge of crying, I wanted to stop but I want to teach that man a lesson, Just two minutes princess, I will make it up to you.

I looked at Aarav, he did the same thing as Rohan and left the room. Papa and Vinay uncle chuckled and left the room understanding my plan and did not want to interfere. I turned towards Karthik sir.

"Would you like to join us Karthik sir," I asked him, he stuttered nervously looking from his now angry boss to me.

"I-I no. Thank you for the offer." He replied nervously. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Ok, I will get you some chocolate on my way back. Bye Diya." I said and turned to leave when I heard her voice.

"Dada, I wanna go with mama," I smirked in his direction in triumph. He glared at me in return. He tried to convince her but she was not having it.

"Diya, we will have chocolate again. We will be here, I will order whatever you want baby." Abhi tried convincing her, I stood with my arms folded over my chest and started the show.

"No, I go with mama." Diya stomped her feet and said sternly.

"Baby, listen to me-" Diya cut him off and came towards me.

"I going with mama. You coming too." My princess ordered him and gave him a fierce glare, he slumped his shoulders defeatedly.

"Ok, I will come with you. Just give me a minute." He said and gave some orders to Karthik sir while we were making some plans.

"Mama, you make chocky cake right?" Diya asked me in a cute adorable voice.

"Yes, I will bake you a chocolate cake and some cookies. "I told her and her eyes lit up in the excitement and she squealed. We waited patiently till Abhi completed his talk, Diya was barely controlling her excitement.

"How much time dada, we go fast. I hugwy." She pouted at him and he wrapped up and came towards us.

"It was only five minutes princess, you should have patience," Abhi said and opened the office door and we followed him out. Aarav and Rohan were outside waiting for us. We all piled into the car, thankfully there was no press and they did not know about the bakery, so it helps us. We reached the shop and got down. We went inside and found Anu giving orders to the waiters present. She saw us and came towards us and greeted everyone.

"Anu, we will have some lunch and bake some cakes for my princess here." Anu nodded and left us, I guided others to the table which has some privacy. I took my phone out and noted their others.

"Diya what do you want for lunch."

"Pizza, coke". She ordered without a second thought.

"Pizza is okay but no coke for you, you can have fruit juice okay." She nodded her head and I asked for other's orders. Aarav ordered a hamburger with large fries and diet coke, Rohan ordered a pizza with all meat and finally, Abhi ordered a salad. I gave the list to the waiter and told him to order it and asked him for some cookies. He nodded and came back with some cookies. I handed one to Diya and she happily munched over it. Rohan and Aarav were staring at me, they are confused about my casual talk with them, I was acting as if I knew them for a long time.

"You can ask me any questions. Stop staring at me like that." They were startled by that and looked at me, even Abhi got irritated because of that.

"As her what you want to." He said and they looked at me and Aarav asked the first question.

"You threw mud at him, broke his car window. You are my idol!" Aarav said excitedly and I giggled at that. Diya looked at me with questioning eyes, I urged her to continue eating and she did without a second thought.

"Aarav" Aarav ignored his brother's threat and explained the total incident that happened after that little accident. I laughed at his sad expression in the last.

"Don't worry, I will not let that happen to you again. I will protect you." I said and he looked at me with adoration in his eyes.

"Thanks, di(sister)." Rohan and Abhi observed us and have different expressions on their faces, Rohan with a poker face and Abhi with an irritated face. I and Aarav chatted until our lunch arrive and we started devouring it, I fed Diya her food. I remembered about Akky and called her.

"I am a little sad here. I cannot speak for long, you see my friend did not call me for a whole day," she answered the call dramatically without a hello.

"Shut up and come to the bakery," I said and cut the call. I got an amazing idea, I wanted to do some matchmaking. I texted Nihal to come to Avni's bakery as soon as possible. Till the time the both arrived our lunch was done. Akshaya arrived first and hugged me.

"I am s-sorry, I w-will never do that. P-please do not be angry with me." She stuttered. I patted her back and comforted her.

"Hey, it is okay. Don't feel bad." Diya felt left out and joined in our hug. Aarav also joined pulling Rohan into it. Diya looked at her dada and it became a group hug.

"What is going on here?" We all heard a voice and broke out of the hug, I saw Nihal in the doorway looking at us and he looked at Akky for a minute longer.

"So guys, we had a stressful week. My princess here wants some chocolate cake and cookies. So we are going to bake her some. Akshaya and Nihal you both make cookies, Diya, Abhi, and I will make the cake. Aarav and Rohan will help me, so chop-chop." We all leave for the kitchen. I asked Anu to vacate the kitchen for some time and she gladly obliged.

"So we have the kitchen to ourselves, but we need the snacks in three hours so let's do our best." Akshaya knew the kitchen well so she guided Nihal and they started on cookies. I showed Aarav and Rohan their place and said them how to make chocolate for the cake. I made Diya sit on the island and tied an apron, I handed one to Abhi and started preparing the cake. I placed all the required ingredients on the counter and started with the instructions.

"First goes butter then some eggs and sugar. We mix it properly." Abhi and Diya added them as I said. Diya struggled to mix it, so Abhi placed his hands over hers and they both mixed it. It was a sight to watch. I took the flour and added some to the mixture, I lost my grip while placing it in the cabin above our head and all the flour fell on Abhi. Everyone looked at us in shock.

"Sorry, I-I did not mean to. It slipped out of my hands." Abhi came towards me and shook his head making the flour fall on me. I coughed a bit. I tried to escape from the situation but he held my wrist and pulled me towards him. He rubbed his face against me getting all the flour on me. My fight did not match his and I looked at Diya for help. Diya was giggling soundlessly at us, I signaled her towards the eggs and she understood my meaning. She took hold of an egg and threw it at us, I ducked and it hit Abhi's face. Diya squealed in happiness.

"I hit dada." Princess, we are in trouble. I placed Diya down.

"Run Diya, if dada catches you, he is going to punish us." And we both took off squealing with an angry Abhi on our back. Rohan took hold of Diya who was struggling to get out of his hold.

"Roni, pwease leave me." She started begging him. I went near them to rescue her but was stopped by Nihal who has held my waist and lifted me.

"Leave me Nihal." I saw Abhi approach me with eggs in his hands. "Nihal, he is coming. Please leave."

"It is perfect revenge for me. How you tortured me! Abhi don't leave her." Nihal held me in place and Abhi threw eggs at me and I ducked at the last moment and both hit Nihal and Nihal started chasing Abhi. I started a food fight, now time to save my baby. I sneaked behind Rohan and got hold of now cool chocolate prepared by them and threw it over Rohan's head. He squealed like a small kid, I took Diya and we ran into the corner and analyzed the situation. Nihal and Abhi were fighting and Rohan was trying to remove the chocolate from his body. Akshaya and Aarav were enjoying the show recording the incident. Diya and I slowly sneak and try to reach Akky. But someone caught me and I fell on the ground with a grunt, the person was on top of me. Abhi was there on top of me with flour and eggs over his head but looking handsome, I stared at his blue eyes.

"There we have caught our attacker" Nihal and Rohan came towards us with some things to throw at me. I laughed watching them, they were looking hilarious with chocolate and eggs over them.

"Please Abhi leave me. They are going to kill me." I begged Abhi but he did not budge. Nihal and Rohan took my hands and made me stand. They have an iron grip on my hands. I tried thinking of some ways to escape.

"We have her now, Abhi take our revenge on her," Nihal said and Rohan nodded in agreement. I got an idea and signaled Diya to the egg and towards Rohan's leg, my baby understood and got the egg. She threw it at Rohan at the same time Abhi threw eggs at me. Rohan left my arm and I pulled Nihal towards me as a shield and all the content hit him. Abhi was shocked, I took the advantage of the situation and went to the cabin and took the prepared mixture, and threw it over Abhi's head without a second thought. I took Diya and went to the entrance of the kitchen, we laughed at the three grown-up men looking like clowns. Now they were glaring at me without so much hate. Me and Diya had nothing on our clothes except some clothes. The door was locked and we are struck here. I am dead now.

The three angry men surrounded me in all three directions without an escape. Oh no.

The press meeting went according to the plan, I knew that Abhi was going to introduce Diya and I struck and goal it hit right on the spot.

"I want my son as the CEO of Meevin's, no matter what he will be in that position. I had Avni and Abhi to remove from this world. Now Diya is added to that list. You will be dead in no time. How can you protect your family now Rudra Goenka?"
