A week had passed, and Ruhanika was now completely back to her normal self. Her voice, which had been weak and fragile, had returned to its sweet and melodic tone, leaving all the men in her life utterly amazed. Rudraksh, in particular, was taken aback by her soothing voice, and with each passing day, one wish became stronger in his heart—to hear her speak for the rest of his life. During this time, Ruhanika had grown more comfortable around Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep. The initial hesitation and shyness she had felt around them had slowly melted away, and now she interacted with them more freely. The bond between her and the three men grew stronger, her trust in them deepening. They, in turn, were careful with her, always respectful of her boundaries, ensuring she felt safe and valued. Rudraksh, ever protective of her, had instructed the household helpers to maintain a respectful distance from her as she was still anxious around unfamiliar faces. While the world outside was still daunting for her, she was beginning to adjust to everything within their home.Rudraksh had also taken extra precautions with the house helpers, instructing them to work in areas away from Ruhanika to help her adjust at her own pace. While she was still wary of unfamiliar faces, her progress was undeniable. She was beginning to feel at ease in the house, slowly but surely adapting to her surroundings. Earlier, when Rudraksh had left her alone, Ruhanika viewed everyone in the house as family and treated them with the utmost respect, as though they were elders deserving of her reverence. Despite that, she had been scared—terrified, even. Now, however, that fear was fading. Though the process was slow, she was adjusting, finding her footing, and learning to embrace the love and safety that surrounded her.

Now that Ruhanika knew the truth—that the people she once thought of as family were, in fact, house helpers—she began to keep a noticeable distance from them. The trauma of her past experiences had left her wary of strangers, especially after the terrifying night when Rudraksh had saved her. In her mind, anyone unfamiliar could pose a threat, just like Jayvardhan. She hadn't met him before, and that memory left her associating all strangers with potential danger. One evening, Ruhanika and Rudraksh were sitting in the living room together. Rudraksh was engrossed in his work, typing away on his laptop, while Ruhanika sat beside him, quietly admiring his hands as they moved over the keys. She found peace in watching him, the steady rhythm of his work calming her nerves. Suddenly, one of the house helpers entered the room carrying a cup of tea for Rudraksh. As soon as Ruhanika noticed the worker approaching, she instinctively shifted closer to Rudraksh, her body tensing up. She clutched his arm lightly, seeking the reassurance that only his presence could provide. Her anxiety was palpable. Noticing her reaction, Rudraksh glanced up from his work and saw the nervousness in her eyes. He accepted the tea and dismissed the helper, but his focus was now entirely on Ruhanika. He could sense something deeper was bothering her.

That day, he asked her why she seemed so scared of them. Ruhanika opened up, explaining that she had once thought they were family, but when she discovered they weren't, she felt the need to keep her distance. She shared that her Nima had taught her to stay away from strangers. Ruhanika then recounted the unsettling events of that night, describing how a stranger claimed that Rudraksh had sent him to bring her back and then tried to touch her. Rudraksh gently patted Ruhanika's cheeks, understanding the weight of her fears. He recalled the letter he had found in the envelope, revealing Nima's wise words about the dangers of the world. It struck him how profoundly that incident had affected Ruhanika, embedding a deep-seated fear within her. He wanted to reassure her that not everyone was a threat, that there were good people in the world who genuinely cared for her. But he comforted her, assuring her that not everyone is bad. He encouraged her to open her heart a little more, reminding her that there were people who genuinely cared for her. Now, she was making an effort to adjust, gradually learning to trust again and embrace the new relationships forming around her.

Over the past week, Rudraksh had been working from home, a decision he made to ensure Ruhanika was never alone. He knew how much she depended on him, especially after everything that had happened. Whenever she awoke, her first instinct was to seek him out, wanting him by her side at all times. Her need for his presence was constant, almost like a comforting blanket she could wrap herself in. Rishwik and Ashvik never missed an opportunity to tease him about it, playfully remarking on how he had become Ruhanika's personal bodyguard. Today was no different. As Rudraksh settled into his work in his room, Ruhanika sat beside him, glancing over his shoulder to see what he was doing. However, boredom began to creep in as she watched him intently focus on his laptop screen.

Ruhanika: "Umm suniye"

(Umm, listen...)

Rudraksh: "Aaho ji Sohneyo dasso"

(Yes, my love, tell me.)

Rudraksh, still focused on his laptop, replied absentmindedly without lifting his gaze from the screen. Ruhanika's brows furrowed in frustration, her eyes reflecting confusion at his distant response. When he didn't got any reply as he expected, Rudraksh finally looked up, noticing her puzzled expression. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he reached out and gently patted her cheek.

Rudraksh: "Mera matlab haa sunaiye."

(I mean, yes, go ahead.)

Ruhanika smiled, a spark of warmth lighting up her eyes.

Ruhanika: "Vo kya hum niche ja sakte hai?? Aapke Bhai niche hai, hum unse baatein kar lenge."

(Can I go downstairs? Your brother is there, and I’ll talk with him.)

Rudraksh: "Isme puchna kya Ruh, ja sakti ho tum, jo chahe kar sakti ho."

(Why do you even need to ask, Ruh? Of course, you can go. You can do whatever you want.)

Ruhanika: "Kuch bhi kar sakte hai??"

(I can do anything?)

Rudraksh: "Hmm"

Rudraksh found himself once more absorbed in his laptop, his fingers flying over the keyboard as he concentrated on the tasks at hand.

Ruhanika: "Pardo me hath poch sakte hai??"

(Can I wipe my hands on the curtains?)

Rudraksh: "Whattt???"

Rudraksh glanced up from his screen and met Ruhanika's gaze, noticing her head tilted slightly to one side.

Ruhanika: "Nahi kar sakte??"

(I can’t do that?)

Rudraksh: "Tumhe Pardo me hath pochne hai??"

(You want to wipe your hands on the curtains?)

Ruhanika nodded slowly.

Ruhanika: "Haa, vo humne bachpan me kabhi Kiya nahi hai isiliye."

(Yes, I never did that as a child.)

Rudraksh pondered what could be so interesting that Ruhanika was preoccupied with it. However, to his amusement, he noticed that she was intent on wiping her hands on the curtains instead. Her ccantics never ceased to amaze him, revealing a side of her that was both quirky and charming. He couldn't help but chuckle at her.

Rudraksh: "Tum jo chahe kar sakti ho betu, yaha koi kuch nahi kahega tumhe."

(You can do whatever you want, sweetheart. No one will say anything to you here.)

Ruhanika beamed as she stood up from the bed, her heart light and her spirits high. The morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating her face and highlighting the excitement in her eyes.

Ruhanika: "Thik hai hum niche jaate hai."

(Alright, I’ll go downstairs then.)

Ruhanika slipped on her soft pink slippers, a gift from Rudraksh that she cherished dearly.  When Rudraksh had offered to get her more, she had declined, insisting that these were her favorites. With a bright smile on her face, she dashed out of the room.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh sambhal ke betu."

(Ruh, be careful, okay?)

Rudraksh called after her, but his words went unheard as Ruhanika hurried down the stairs, a spring in her step.  He chuckled softly, shaking his head at her exuberance, and returned to his work, a smile lingering on his lips.

As she entered the living room, she noticed Rishwik sitting on the couch, glued to the TV. However, his expression was far from cheerful; it was etched with a frown that hinted at something troubling him. Curious, Ruhanika glanced at the screen and realized Rishwik was watching the news, which was broadcasting a segment about Raksha Bandhan, a celebration of the bond between brothers and sisters. The festive atmosphere depicted on the screen contrasted sharply with Rishwik’s somber demeanor, leaving Ruhanika even more puzzled. A pang of understanding hit her as she turned back to Rishwik, realizing the significance of the day and why he might be feeling down. Just then, Ashvik and Amandeep walked in, their cheerful demeanor contrasting sharply with Rishwik’s solemn mood.

Ashvik: "Ye lo, yaha baithe hai nawab sahab, inhe phone dekhne ki fursat nahi hai."

(Here you are, sitting like a king, too busy with your phone to even notice anything else.)

Rishwik quickly wiped away a lone tear from his cheek, but Ruhanika had caught the glimmer of sadness in his eyes. It tugged at her heart, and she felt a surge of empathy for him. Memories flooded her mind of the days spent cooking spaghetti together, the laughter they shared, and the bonds they had formed in such a short time. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of how much joy their time together had brought her. As Ashvik and Amandeep settled in beside Rishwik, Ruhanika felt a surge of determination to up lift Rishwik's spirits. Without a second thought, she dashed back to her room, a plan forming in her mind. Rudraksh noticed her an eyebrow in curiosity.

Rudraksh: "areh, itni jaldi aa gayi jaana?"

(Oh, you’re back so soon?)

Ruhanika paused in her tracks and pouted at Rudraksh, her lips forming a soft, exaggerated frown.

Ruhanika: "Haa haa ja rahe hai hum, bas kuch kaam se aaye hai."

(Yeah, yeah, I’m going, just had something to do first.)

Ruhanika vanished into the closet, and Rudraksh couldn’t help but chuckle at her antics. He found it endearing how she took his affectionate nickname “Jaana” literally, often adding her own dramatic flair to their exchanges. Instead of clarifying her misunderstanding, he chose to revel in the lightheartedness of the moment, relishing the way she would sometimes get irritated. With a content smile, he returned to his work.

Ruhanika stepped into the closet, closing the door behind her as she began rummaging through her wardrobe.

Ruhanika: "Ye sab kuch le aaye par suii dhaaga nahi hai. Ab hum kya kare???"

(He brought everything except a needle and thread. Now what should I do?)

Ruhanika emerged from the closet, back in the room.

Ruhanika: "Suniye"

(Listen...)

Rudraksh: "Kahiye Sohneyo"

(Yes, my love, tell me.)

Ruhanika: "Ghar me suii dhaaga, aur kaichi nahi hai??"

(Is there no needle, thread, or scissors in the house?)

Rudraksh turned his attention to Ruhanika, his brow furrowing in confusion.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua ye sab kyu chahiye?? Kapde toh thik lag rahe hai tumhare."

(What’s going on? Why do you need those? Your clothes look fine.)

Ruhanika: "Humare liye nahi chahiye, bas kuch karna tha aap bataiye na."

(I don’t need them for myself, I just need them for something. Just tell me.)

Ruhanika: "Scissor is in the left drawer of the 3rd cupboard and thread and needle toh nahi hai."

(The scissors are in the left drawer of the third cupboard, and as for needle and thread, we don’t have any.)

Ruhanika pouted, a thoughtful expression crossing her face as she contemplated something. Rudraksh looked on, puzzled by her reaction, unsure of what had sparked this sudden shift in her mood.

Rudraksh: "Bachcha ky... "

(Sweetheart, wha...)

Before Rudraksh could voice his curiosity, Ruhanika darted back into the closet, leaving him shaking his head with an amused smile at her antics. He chuckled softly to himself, returning to his work, but his thoughts kept drifting back to her. What was she up to now? After nearly twenty minutes, Ruhanika finally emerged from the closet, her arms full of colorful items. Without even a glance in Rudraksh's direction, she sprinted downstairs, leaving him bewildered. Intrigued by her sudden burst of energy, he set his laptop aside and decided to follow her. As he descended the stairs, he noticed she headed straight into the kitchen. Just as he was about to follow her inside, Ashvik caught sight of him and called out, drawing Rudraksh’s attention away.

Ashvik: "Oh bhai kabhi humare sath bhi baith liya kar, jab dekho biwi ke piche ghumta hai."

(Oh brother, can’t you ever sit with us? You’re always following your wife around.)

Rudraksh rolled his eyes before making his way over to join Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep. The four of them were deep in discussion about their latest business ventures, animatedly sharing ideas and strategies. Suddenly, Ruhanika entered the room, catching their attention. As soon as she appeared, smiles broke out across their faces, and she reciprocated with a warm grin. However, their expressions quickly turned to confusion when they noticed the plate she was carrying in her hands. Everyone had already finished breakfast, so the sight of her bringing in plate sparked curiosity among the group.

Rudraksh: "Ruh, ye kya hai??"

(Ruh, what is this?)

Ruhanika: "Batate hai, par pehle aap uthiye aur yaha baithiye na."

(I’ll tell you, but first, can you move and sit here?)

Rudraksh, who had settled comfortably next to Rishwik, looked at Ruhanika with a hint of confusion when she gestured for him to move. He raised an eyebrow, unsure of what was happening, but then complied, shifting to the other couch with a playful shrug. With Rudraksh out of the way, Ruhanika positioned herself right in front of Rishwik, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She took a moment to catch her breath, a playful grin spreading across her face. Standing before him, she felt a mixture of nervousness and determination.

Rishwik: "Kya hua Angel?? Kuch chahiye??"

(What happened, Angel? Do you need something?)

Ruhanika: "Haan, dena toh padega aapko."

(Yes, you’ll have to give it to me.)

Rishwik: "Achcha batao kya chahiye."

(Alright, tell me what you need.)

Ruhanika: "Batate hai, par usse pehle Jo karte hai vo toh kar le hum."

(I’ll tell you, but first, let’s do what we need to.)

Rishwik: "Kya karna hai??"

(What do we need to do?)

Ruhanika: "dekhiye humne na aisa pehle kabhi Kiya nahi hai isiliye hume zyada pata nahi hai, par jitna Nima ne bataya tha hum vaisa karenge ha, agar galti ho jaye toh aap bata dijiyega."

(Look, I’ve never done this before, so I don’t really know how, but I’ll do it the way Nima taught me. If I make a mistake, please correct me.)

Rishwik: "Kya bol Rahi ho Angel?? Kya karna hai??"

(What are you talking about, Angel? What are we doing?)

Ruhanika's smile radiated warmth as she left everyone in the room momentarily puzzled. With a playful twinkle in her eyes, she dipped her ring finger into the plate, revealing it to be filled with vibrant kumkum. She gently approached Rishwik and applied the tilak on his forehead, a traditional gesture that took him by surprise. His eyes widened in disbelief, and a wave of emotion washed over him as he realized the significance of her actions. Tears glistened in his eyes, but Ruhanika's beaming smile reassured him. Without missing a beat, Ruhanika then sprinkled a handful of Akshat—small rice grains—onto his forehead, completing the tilak with a sense of reverence. She even performed a brief Aarti, circling her hand in front of him, while everyone else stood in stunned silence, unsure of how to react. This unexpected ritual was far beyond what they had anticipated. After placing the plate back on the table, Ruhanika carefully picked up a beautifully crafted blue rakhi that resembled a delicate rose. Its intricate design caught the light, making it look even more enchanting. Rishwik gazed at it, awed by its beauty and the sentiment behind it. In that moment, the atmosphere in the room shifted, filled with a sense of warmth, love, and familial bonds that transcended words.

Rishwik: "Ye kaha se Mila tumhe Angel??"

(Where did you get this from, Angel?)

Ruhanika: "Humne khud banayi hai, humare pass rakhi nahi thi na toh humne apne dupatte ko cut karke khud bana li. Aur diya bhi nahi tha toh ye humne aate se diya banaya aur kumkum ke liye humara sindhoor."

( I made it myself. We didn’t have one, so I cut a piece from my dupatta and made it. And since we didn’t have a diya, I made one from flour, and for kumkum, I used my sindoor.)

Rishwik's smile broadened as he took in Ruhanika's thoughtful gesture, appreciating the creativity and love behind it. His heart swelled with gratitude, and he felt a wave of emotions crashing over him, pushing him closer to tears. Rudraksh, observing from the sidelines, couldn't help but notice the fragile state of his brother. While he was adept at masking his own emotions, he understood Rishwik’s tendency to wear his heart on his sleeve, especially during moments that tugged at his heartstrings. Rudraksh felt a surge of pride for Rishwik; he knew how much these small acts of love meant to him. The sight of Rishwik on the verge of tears was both heartwarming and bittersweet for Rudraksh. He felt a lump in his throat, a mix of happiness and emotion swelling inside him as he admired the deep connection between his wife and brother.

Ruhanika: "Aapka hath aage kijiye, hume aapko rakhi bandhni hai Rishi Bhai."

(Give me your hand; I want to tie this rakhi on you, Rishi Bhai.)

Rishwik's eyes widened in shock, the unexpectedness of Ruhanika's gesture momentarily taking his breath away. Yet, amidst the surprise, a profound happiness shone through, illuminating his expression.

Rishwik: "Angel tumne mujhe Bhai bola??"

(Angel, did you just call me your brother?)

Ruhanika: "Nahii"

(No.)

Rishwik: "Huhh??"

Ruhanika: "Humne Rishi Bhai kaha."

(I said Rishi Bhai.)

Rishwik chuckled softly at Ruhanika's innocence, a warm smile spreading across his face. He extended his hand, and with a gentle touch, she carefully tied the Rakhi around his wrist. The moment felt sacred, filled with unspoken promises and a bond that had grown deeper over time. After securing the Rakhi, Ruhanika beamed with pride, admiring how the intricate rose-shaped design contrasted beautifully against Rishwik's skin. A wave of warmth flooded Rishwik's heart, overflowing with brotherly love for Ruhanika. From the very first day, he had seen her as his little sister, but hearing her call him "Bhai" resonated deeply within him, bringing immense joy and a sense of fulfillment he hadn’t anticipated. Feeling overwhelmed with emotion, Rishwik stood up, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. The sincerity of the moment struck him, and he couldn't help but feel grateful for this newfound connection. Ruhanika noticed his expression and, with a pout, tilted her head to the side, as if trying to understand why he seemed so emotional.

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai, humne aapko kitna pyaara naam diya, aur bhai bhi Maan liya, phir bhi aapki aakhon me aasu hai, kya aapko naam pasand nahi aaya??"

(Rishi Bhai, I’ve given you such a loving name and accepted you as my brother, yet you have tears in your eyes. Don’t you like the name?)

Rishwik: "Angel, agar tumhe aitraaz na ho toh kya .. k..ya main tum..he gale laga sakta hu???"

(Angel, if you don’t mind, can...can I hug you?)

Ruhanika's smile slowly faded, and a hint of disturbance crossed her features. Rishwik noticed her discomfort immediately and assumed that perhaps she wasn't feeling entirely comfortable with the emotional moment. Seeking reassurance, Ruhanika turned her gaze toward Rudraksh, hoping for some comforting words. However, Rudraksh remained silent, respecting her space and choosing not to push her into something she wasn't ready to do. Feeling the weight of uncertainty, Ruhanika took a moment to gather her thoughts. Rishwik, ever perceptive, saw her processing the situation and decided to reassure her in a gentle manner. He smiled warmly and leaned down, patting her head affectionately.

Rishwik: "Koi baat nahi, main bas thoda emotional ho gaya tha."

(It’s nothing, I just got a little emotional.)

Ruhanika: "Aise bhaavuk hote hai toh gale lagte hai??"

(So when you get emotional, you give hugs?)

Rishwik chuckled softly, and he wiped away the tears that had escaped his eyes.

Rishwik: "Kyu tum roti ho toh bhai ke gale nahi lag jati??"

(Why, when you cry, don’t you hug brother?)

Ruhanika nodded, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she took in Rishwik’s response.

Ruhanika: "Haa aur phir vo hume chup Kara dete hai."

(Yes, and then he comforts me.)

Rishwik nodded, his gaze fixed on his wrist where the Rakhi had been tied. The vibrant blue rose symbolized not just a thread but a bond that was now woven into his life. He felt a surge of emotions as he reflected on the significance of this moment. Ruhanika, too, was lost in her thoughts, contemplating the newfound relationship and what it meant to her. The others in the room watched the new brother-sister duo with hearts full of affection. Ashvik and Amandeep exchanged glances, their eyes glistening with unshed tears. They understood the depth of this connection, recognizing how much it truly mattered to Rishwik. It was more than just a ceremony; it was a testament to love, support, and the unbreakable bonds that formed over time.

Ruhanika: "Inke Bhai suniye"

(Listen, his brother...)

Rishwik: "Phir inke Bhai??"

(Again with the “his brother”?)

Ruhanika: "Sorry sorry, humara matlab Rishi Bhai suniye."

(Sorry, sorry, I meant Rishi Bhai, listen.)

Rishwik: "Angel Ruhi kahiye."

( Go ahead, Angel Ruhi.)

Rishwik, feeling a surge of playful energy, flicked Ruhanika’s nose gently, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

Ruhanika: "Aap na bahaut achche hai, hume aapse Darr nahi lagta."

(You’re really nice; I’m not afraid of you anymore.)

Rishwik's smile blossomed into something even brighter as Ruhanika unexpectedly wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace. This simple gesture spoke volumes; after Rudraksh, Rishwik was the only one she felt comfortable enough to let into her personal space. He gently returned the hug, ensuring he didn't hold her too tightly, mindful of her sensitivity. As they parted, Rishwik looked down at her with affection, his heart swelling with joy. In a spontaneous moment of affection, he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead. Ruhanika’s expression shifted to one of confusion as she processed the warmth of the gesture. She instinctively glanced back at Rudraksh.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua??"

(What happened?)

Ruhanika walked over to Rudraksh, tilting her head to one side as she fixed her gaze on him, her expression a blend of confusion and curiosity. The room fell into a hush, and everyone exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of what she was up to.

Ashvik: "Teddy, achanak se kya hua??"

(Teddy, what’s going on all of a sudden?)

Ruhanika: "Suniye, aap bhi hume mathe pe kissi dijiye."

(Listen, kiss me on the forehead now.)

Rudraksh’s eyes widened in surprise at Ruhanika’s unexpected request, his expression shifting from intrigue to shock. He blinked a couple of times, trying to process what she had just said. Meanwhile, the others struggled to contain their laughter, the tension in the room breaking as they exchanged amused glances. Rudraksh, caught off guard, stammered slightly.

Rudraksh: "Ye.. ye k..ya bol rahi ho tum."

(W-what are you saying?)

Ruhanika: "Kijiye na, hume kuch pata karna hai."

(Do it, I need to figure something out.)

Rudraksh: "Kya pata karna hai??"

(What do you need to figure out?)

Ruhanika: "Yahi ki, jab aap hume mathe pe kissie karte hai tab alag lagta hai aur Rishi Bhai ne kiya toh alag laga, par dono bhi bura nahi tha aisa kaise??"

(I want to know why when you kiss me on the forehead it feels different, and when Rishi Bhai did, it felt different too, but neither was bad. How is that possible?)

Rudraksh felt an overwhelming urge to run from the scene, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He had cultivated an image of a strong, arrogant young man—an intimidating figure in the world of the Mafia—and here was Ruhanika, effortlessly dismantling that facade by openly declaring that he had kissed her forehead. The others struggled to suppress their laughter, and Rudraksh couldn’t even bring himself to glare at them, knowing full well he’d only appear more flustered. Instead, he was left feeling incredibly self-conscious, caught between his carefully crafted persona and the playful reality of the moment. Ruhanika, unaware of his inner turmoil, playfully poked him in the arm, trying to capture his attention.

Ruhanika: "Bataiye na, aap toh Roz hume kis..."

(Tell me, you kiss me all the time...)

In a moment of desperation, Rudraksh placed his palm over Ruhanika’s mouth, trying to stifle her innocent teasing words.

Rudraksh: "Ye sab main baat bataunga, abhi tumne rakhi bandhu na Rishwik ko, jao jaake gift mango usse jao."

(I’ll explain all that later. Right now, you just tied a rakhi to Rishwik, so go ask him for a gift.)

Ruhanika nodded, and Rudraksh slowly withdrew his hand from her mouth, She then turned her attention to Rishwik.

Rishwik: "Yes Angel, batao kya chahiye tumhe??"

(Yes, Angel, tell me what you want.)

Ruhanika: "Rukiye pehle hum pura kaam toh kar le."

(Wait, let me finish what I started first.)

The group exchanged puzzled looks, trying to decipher what Ruhanika was up to next. Unfazed by their confusion, she pivoted toward Ashvik and Amandeep, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Ruhanika: "Ashu bhai, Aman bhaiya aap dono bhi baithiye hum aap dono ko bhi rakhi bandhenge."

(Ashu Bhai, Aman Bhaiya, both of you sit down; I’m going to tie a rakhi to you too.)

Ashvik and Amandeep stood there in stunned silence, their expressions a mix of disbelief and joy. They had worked tirelessly over the past week to make Ruhanika feel comfortable and accepted in their family, and now it was clear that their efforts had paid off. As Ruhanika took their hands and guided them to sit down, her actions spoke volumes. She performed their Aarti with a sincerity that warmed their hearts, her little face glowing with happiness. When she tied the Rakhi around their wrists, both Ashvik and Amandeep felt a surge of emotion wash over them, realizing that they were being embraced as her brothers. The moment was heartwarming. Ashvik and Amandeep exchanged glances, their eyes shining with tears of joy, before both reached out to pat Ruhanika on the head affectionately. Ruhanika's smile was infectious, lighting up the room and making the bond they shared feel even more special.

Ashvik: "Thank you teddy, Tumhe nahi pata tumne kya Kiya hai aaj."

(Thank you, Teddy. You don’t know what you’ve done for me today.)

Ruhanika: "Hume pata hai, humne Rakhi bandhi hai."

( I know, I tied a rakhi for you.)

Ashvik smiled, shaking his head.

Ashvik: "Tum janti ho, I'm orphan aur tumne mujhe Rakhi bandhi toh..."

(Do you know, I’m an orphan, and today you tied a rakhi for me, so...)

Ashvik's voice faltered, choked by the rush of emotion surging within him. He was overwhelmed, tears brimming in his eyes as he struggled to find the words to express his feelings. Just then, Ruhanika, sensing his vulnerability, reached out with trembling hands and enveloped him in a hug. Ashvik was initially taken aback by her sudden gesture, but as he processed it, he felt an incredible warmth spread through him. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around her, cradling her head gently in an embrace that spoke volumes. In that moment, both of them found solace; Ruhanika's smile radiated comfort, making Ashvik feel as though all his worries had melted away. After a brief moment of togetherness, Ruhanika pulled back, her expression glowing with joy and ease. She looked up at Ashvik, her eyes sparkling, a silent promise of their newfound bond hanging in the air.

Ruhanika: "Humne abhi aapko rakhi bandhi, matlab hum dono ab bhai behen hai, toh agar hum dono bhai behen hai toh aap orphan kaise huye Ashu bhai???"

( I just tied a rakhi for you, which means we’re siblings now. So if we’re siblings, how are you still an orphan, Ashu Bhai?)

Ashvik's heart swelled with happiness, a feeling he hadn't expected to experience so profoundly that day. Yet, the others around him remained in stunned silence, grappling with the weight of Ruhanika's unexpected maturity. The girl who once seemed so innocent and naïve had suddenly become the anchor in an emotionally charged moment, surprising everyone with her depth of understanding. As Ashvik shifted his gaze toward Rudraksh, he found himself caught in his intense stare. A sudden chill ran down his spine as he gulped, realizing the weight of the situation. In a family that embraced Ashvik as a brother, here had declared himself an orphan—standing at the center of it all. Meanwhile, Ruhanika, undeterred by the heavy atmosphere, moved gracefully towards Amandeep.

Ruhanika: "Aman bhaiya, aapko bhi Rona hai?? Aapko bhi jhappi chahiye??"

(Aman Bhaiya, are you going to cry too? Do you need a hug?)

Amandeep, though feeling emotional himself, couldn't help but chuckle at Ruhanika's cute words. Her innocence and sincerity brought a lightness to the moment, making it impossible for him to stay emotional.

Amandeep: "Nahi tumne jo aaj mujhe diya hai mere liye vahi kafi hai."

(No, what you’ve given me today is more than enough.)

Ruhanika got confused.

Ruhanika: "Humne kya diya aapko??"

(What did I give you?)

Amandeep: "Tumne mujhe bhaiya bola na?"

(You called me ‘Bhaiya,’ didn’t you?)

Ruhanika nodded.

Amandeep: "That means now I can call you Ruhi, aur koi kuch bol bhi nahi sakta."

(That means now I can call you Ruhi, and no one can say anything.)

Amandeep, who had been teasing Rudraksh moments earlier, felt the playful atmosphere shift dramatically as he caught sight of Rudraksh's deadly glare.

Ruhanika: "par koi aapko kuch kyu bolega??"

(But why would anyone say anything to you?)

Amandeep: "Tum chodo ye sab "Ruuhhiiiii" tum batao kya chahiye tumhe."

(Leave that aside, "Ruuhhiiiii", now tell me what you want.)

Rishwik gently guided Ruhanika to sit comfortably between Ashvik and Amandeep, creating a cozy space that felt warm and welcoming. As he knelt down in front of her, his eyes radiated kindness and admiration. Ruhanika’s heart swelled with happiness, a lightness enveloping her that she had never felt before. In that moment, she realized the true power of family.  Reflecting on the joy surrounding her, she couldn’t help but think that if she had embraced these connections earlier, it would have brought immeasurable joy to everyone, including herself. The thought danced in her mind, filling her with warmth. She looked at Ashvik and Amandeep, their smiles infectious and sincere, and felt a rush of affection for them. With each passing second, the weight of her past fears seemed to lighten, replaced by the bright promise of new beginnings.

Rishwik: "Bolo Angel kya chahiye?"

(Tell us, Angel, what do you want?)

Ruhanika: "Vo hum chote the na toh hume toffee bahaut pasand thi, aap le aayenge kya?? Humne bachpan me hi khaya tha bas vo."

( Well, when I was little, I loved toffees. Will you bring some for me? I only had them when I was a child.)

Ruhanika's expression shifted as she pouted, a wave of nostalgia washing over her as she recalled her old days. The lightness in the room dimmed slightly, and the others exchanged concerned glances, sensing the change in her mood. They felt a pang of sympathy for her but were careful not to draw attention to it; they didn’t want to ruin the joyful atmosphere they had worked so hard to create. Rishwik, ever the sensitive one, decided to lighten the moment. With a playful grin, he reached over and ruffled Ruhanika's hair affectionately.

Rishwik: "Done, main tumhare liye sabse achchi chocolate leke aaunga."

( Done, I’ll get you the best chocolate.)

Ruhanika: "Shukriya Rishi Bhai."

(Thank you, Rishi Bhai.)

Ruhanika beamed and turned to face Ashvik.

Ruhanika: "Ashu bhai aap kya denge??"

(Ashu Bhai, what will you give me?)

Ashvik started to speak, but Ruhanika quickly cut him off.

Ruhanika: "Nahi aap rehne dijiye, aap bahut bhole hai aapko dukaandaar buddhu banate hai."

(No, never mind, you’re too innocent. Shopkeepers take advantage of you.)

Rudraksh, Rishwik, and Amandeep couldn’t help but chuckle at Ruhanika’s spirited interruption, their laughter echoing in the room. However, Ashvik was less amused. He shot a sharp glare at the three of them, his expression a mix of mock annoyance and irritation.

Ashvik: "Yaar teddy, bas bhi karo ab, mujhe aur kitna tang karne wali ho tum??"

(Come on, Teddy! How much more are you going to tease me?)

Ruhanika: "Humne kab tang kiya aapko?? Aapko bura laga?? Kya hum nahi bole."

(When did I tease you? Did it bother you? Should I stop talking?)

Ashvik: "dekho tum na ruko ab aur suno"

(Listen, don’t stop now. Just hear me out.)

Ruhanika nodded.

Ashvik: "mujhe pata toh nahi tha ki tum mujhe bhai Maan logo, par maine toh tumhe behen maana tha na isiliye main Raksha bandhan ka gift le aaya hu tumhare liye."

( I didn’t know you’d accept me as your brother, but I already considered you my sister, which is why I brought a Raksha Bandhan gift for you.)

Ruhanika: "Nahi hum nahi pehnenge aadhe adhure kapde."

(No, I won’t wear half-finished clothes!)

Everyone struggled to hold back their laughter at Ashvik's predicament, but they restrained themselves, careful not to upset Ruhanika. They didn’t want her to think they were laughing at her, so they exchanged amused glances, trying their best to stifle their giggles.

Ashvik: "Teddy, please mujhe do minute dogi?? Main lekar aau gift??"

(Teddy, please, will you give me two minutes? I’ll go get your gift.)

Ruhanika nodded as Ashvik left the room, her attention immediately shifting to Amandeep. She turned towards him with the same innocent curiosity, her eyes gleaming with warmth and expectation.

Ruhanika: "Aman bhaiya, aap kya denge hume??"

(Aman Bhaiya, what will you give me?)

Amandeep: "Main na aaj tak Sir ka PA tha unki sari baatein manta tha, par ab se tumhari sari baatein manunga."

(Until today, I was Sir's PA and always listened to him. But from now on, I’ll listen to everything you say.)

Ruhanika: "Saari baatein??"

(Everything?)

Amandeep nodded in response, and Ruhanika's grin grew even wider. She was clearly delighted, her joy radiating through the room. Meanwhile, Rishwik sat beside her, casually opening his phone to order chocolates, knowing it would bring more smiles. Across from them, Rudraksh, seated on the opposite couch, quietly admired the heartwarming scene unfolding before him.  He watched as the bonds between Ruhanika and his brothers had grown stronger in such a short time. For the first time in ages, he saw Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep genuinely happy—free of burdens, smiles replacing the usual seriousness that clouded their lives. Rudraksh couldn't help but feel grateful to his innocent and kind hearted wife, whose pure heart had brought so much joy to everyone around her. Just then, the door opened, and Ashvik, who had stepped out for a moment, returned. As soon as Ruhanika spotted him, her eyes widened with surprise and happiness. She grinned excitedly, almost bouncing in her seat at his return. Ashvik, seeing her joy, couldn’t help but smile as well.

Ruhanika: "Ashu bhai aap humare liye itna bada Khilona laaye hai."

(Ashu Bhai, you’ve brought such a big toy for me!)

Ashvik had just returned with a huge teddy bear that was nearly as tall as Ruhanika herself. Its soft fur and big, friendly eyes made it an irresistible sight. With a warm smile, he extended the teddy bear toward her, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Ruhanika's face lit up with pure joy as she saw the enormous toy. She couldn't contain her grin, her eyes sparkling with delight. She reached out with both hands, wrapping her arms around the teddy bear and pulling it close to her chest. The bear's plush softness felt comforting against her, and she giggled as she hugged it tightly.

Ruhanika: "Ye kitna mulayam hai, Shukriya Ashu bhai, hume ye bahaut pasand aaya."

(It’s so soft! Thank you, Ashu Bhai. I really like it.)

Ashvik gently patted Ruhanika's head, his affectionate gesture bringing an even bigger smile to her face.

Amandeep: "Vaise Ruhi, ye hum sabke liye itne pyaare naam kaise soche??"

(By the way, Ruhi, how did you come up with such cute names for all of us?)

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai ne kaha tha hum sab parivar hai, aur parivar me sabko pyaar se bulate hai, isiliye humne ye socha."

(Rishi Bhai said we’re all family, and in a family, everyone calls each other with love. That’s why I thought of this.)

Everyone's smiles widened as they listened to Ruhanika’s enthusiastic explanation, but Rishwik’s mischievous mind began to stir with ideas for some playful teasing.

Rishwik: "Toh Angel, bhai ke liye kya naam socha hai tumne??"

(So, Angel, what name have you thought of for brother?)

Rishwik couldn't help but smirk at Rudraksh, who shot him a fierce glare in response. Despite the intimidating facade of the mafia king, there was an unmistakable glimmer of curiosity in Rudraksh's eyes. He was just as eager to find out what name Ruhanika had concocted for him, intrigued by her innocent creativity. Soon, Rudraksh’s expression shifted from eager anticipation to disappointment. His tough-guy persona couldn’t hide the slight pout forming on his lips, and everyone noticed.

Ruhanika: "areh nahi bhai, ye pati hai humare aur pati ka naam nahi lete, Nima ne sikhaya hai hume."

(Oh no, Bhai, he's my husband. I don't say our husband's name. Nima taught me that.)

Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep exchanged amused glances as they caught sight of Rudraksh sulking like a petulant child. The sight was both hilarious and endearing; the usually formidable mafia king now appeared almost vulnerable, with a frown etched on his face and a hint of frustration in his eyes. They all desperately wanted to burst into laughter at the absurdity of the moment, but they quickly restrained themselves, mindful not to hurt Ruhanika’s feelings or draw attention to Rudraksh’s predicament.

Ruhanika: "Aap sab aise muh tedha karke inhe kyu dekh rahe hai?? Kya inse koi galti ho gayi??"

(Why are you all making funny faces and looking at him? Did he make a mistake?)

Ashvik: "Nahi Teddy, bas dekh rahe hai ki pahad jaisa aadmi, tadapte huye kaisa lagta hai??"

(No, Teddy, we're just watching to see how a man as big as a mountain looks when he's all flustered.)

Ruhanika: "Kya?? Aadmi bhi pahad jaise hote hai?? Par humne toh suna tha pahad bahaut bade hote hai, toh aise kaise???"

( What? Men can be like mountains? But I heard mountains are really big, so how is that possible?)

Ashvik chuckled at Ruhanika's innocent question, finding her curiosity endearing.

Amandeep: "Ruuhhiiiii, sahi suna hai tumne, par kya hai na kabhi kabhi log dikhate hai vo bahaut sakt hai par kisi ki ek jhalak se hi pighal jaate hai."

(Ruhi, you heard right. But sometimes people who look really tough can melt with just one glance.)

Ruhanika: "Insaan pighalte bhi hai?? Insaan hai ya baraf??"

(People melt? Are they human or ice?)

Ashvik, Rishwik, and Amandeep erupted into giggles, their laughter filling the room and leaving Ruhanika looking completely confused. She tilted her head slightly, trying to understand what was so funny, her brows furrowing in bewilderment. The playful banter between the three of them only added to her puzzlement, as she wondered if she had missed some inside joke. Despite her confusion, there was a spark of curiosity in her eyes, and she couldn’t help but smile at their infectious laughter.

Amandeep: "areh Ruuuhiiiiii"

Amandeep playfully called out to her, "Ruuhhiii!" dragging out the syllables just to tease Rudraksh. The lighthearted jab caught everyone’s attention, and the room erupted with laughter once again.

Rudraksh: "Lagta hai kal se job pe nahi aana hai tujhe."

(Looks like you don’t need to come to work from tomorrow.)

Amandeep: "Main...main chalta hu Ruhi, mujhe kaam hai bye."

(I... I’ll be going, Ruhi. I’ve got work. Bye.)

Amandeep dashed away with surprising speed, as if fleeing from a playful mob, leaving a trail of laughter in his wake. Rudraksh, clearly irritated by the relentless teasing and the lighthearted banter surrounding him, decided to retreat to the sanctuary of his room. He shot a frustrated glance at the group before storming off, muttering under his breath. Ruhanika watched him go, her brow furrowed in concern. She turned to Rishwik, curiosity evident in her eyes.

Ruhanika: "Rishi Bhai, ye aise kyu chale gaye?? Humne kuch galat keh diya??"

(Rishi Bhai, why did he leave like that? Did I say something wrong?)

Rishwik: "Jao Angel jaake pucho toh, kya hua bhai ko."

(Go, Angel, go ask him what happened to Bhai.)

Ashvik: "Aur vo kissie wale baat bhi puch lena."

(And ask him about that kissing thing too.)

Ruhanika: "Arehhh haa, hum jaate hai."

(Oh yeah, I’ll go.)

Ruhanika gleefully dashed toward the stairs, clutching her oversized teddy bear tightly against her chest. The sight of her excitement was infectious, and both Rishwik and Ashvik couldn't help but shout in unison.

Rishwik: "Araam se jao Angel"

(Go carefully, Angel.)

Ashvik: "Dhyaan se teddy"

(Be careful, Teddy.)

As soon as Ruhanika bounded away, Ashvik and Rishwik exchanged amused glances, and before long, they both burst into hearty laughter. Their chuckles echoed through the room, fueled by the infectious joy that Ruhanika had brought with her antics.

Rishwik: "Ab bhai ka dimaag kha jayegi ye Sawaal kar kar ke."

(Now she’ll drive Bhai crazy with all her questions.)

Ashvik: "Shehh, mujhe dekhna tha show."

(Shehhh, I wanted to see the show.)

Rishwik: "Sharam kar lo bhai, Miya biwi ki baatein Sunni hai aapko, chiiiiii how cheap of you."

(Have some shame, Bhai. You want to listen in on a husband and wife’s conversation? How cheap of you!)

Ashvik rolled his eyes in playful annoyance.

Ashvik: "Meri chod aur apni soch, kal beghar ho jayega tu."

(Forget about me, think about yourself. You’ll be homeless tomorrow.)

Rishwik gulped, his expression shifting as he contemplated something that seemed to weigh on his mind. He glanced at Ashvik, who was still caught up in the laughter at Rishwik.

Ruhanika entered the room, her teddy bear in tow, and immediately spotted Rudraksh, who was once again absorbed in his work. However, it didn’t take long for her to pick up on the subtle signs of his sulking demeanor. His brows were slightly furrowed.

Rudraksh: "Ae kudi sab nu nickname de sakdi hai, par mainu nahi, hadd hai! Aee vo koi gal huyi."

(She can give everyone cute nicknames, but not me? That’s the limit! Is that even fair?)

Ruhanika approached and stood beside him, her presence a comforting warmth. Rudraksh was seated on the edge of the bed, his attention still fixed on the work before him, but the weight of his thoughts was palpable.

Ruhanika: "Aap yu uper kyu aa gaye??"

(Why did you come upstairs?)

Rudraksh: "Kuch nahi"

(Nothing.)

Ruhanika: "Aap naraz hai humse??"

(Are you mad at me?)

Rudraksh: "Main kyu naraz rahu tumse??"

(Why would I be mad at you?)

Ruhanika: "Toh aap muskura kyu nahi rahe??"

(Then why aren’t you smiling?)

Rudraksh: "Mera muh hi aisa hai."

(My face is just like this.)

Ruhanika pouted, her heart sinking as she feared that Rudraksh was angry with her. The thought brought a sting of hurt, and soon her eyes welled up with tears. Lowering her head, she tried to hide her feelings, feeling vulnerable in the moment. However, Rudraksh caught a glimpse of her distress, and his eyes widened in alarm. He quickly set his laptop aside, his focus shifting entirely to her. With gentle hands, he took her shoulders and guided her to sit on the bed in front of him.

Rudraksh: "Heyy betu, rone kyu lagi tum??"

(Hey, sweetheart, why are you crying?)

Ruhanika: "aap naraz hai humse, muskura nahi rahe."

(You’re mad at me. You’re not smiling.)

Rudraksh smiled tenderly at Ruhanika, cupping her face in his hands. He gently wiped away her tears with his thumbs, his touch soft and soothing. Leaning in closer, he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, his lips lingering for just a moment.

Rudraksh: "Tum sohneyo, baat baat pe roya mat karo mujhe nahi pasand bataya tha na."

( You little darling, I told you I don’t like it when you cry over small things.)

Ruhanika nodded.

Ruhanika: "Aap bhi humse naraz mat hoga kijiye, hume achcha nahi lagta."

(You also shouldn’t be mad at me. I don’t like it.)

Rudraksh: "Achcha baba nahi hota naraz."

(Okay, fine. I won’t get mad.)

Ruhanika: "Matlab pehle the??"

(So you were mad before?)

Rudraksh: "Umm naraz toh nahi hu par agar hota toh tum kya karti??"

(Umm, I wasn’t mad, but if I was, what would you do?)

Ruhanika: "Toh hum aapko hasane ki koshish karte."

(Then I’d try to make you laugh.)

Ruhanika smiled brightly, her heart warming at Rudraksh's affectionate gesture. She held his hand, the touch sending a rush of comfort through her. Rudraksh suppressed a smile, feeling a mix of affection and concern. He looked into her eyes, wanting to draw her out of her worries.

Rudraksh: "Achcha zara batao toh kaise hasati mujhe??"

(Oh? How would you make me laugh?)

Ruhanika's expression shifted to a playful mischief, a hint of a smile dancing on her lips as she looked at Rudraksh. Her sudden change in demeanor left him perplexed. Before he could fully process what was happening, she launched into an unexpected attack, her fingers dancing across his stomach in a playful tickle. Rudraksh stared down at her hands, momentarily frozen in surprise. His mind raced as he tried to decipher her intentions, the unexpected sensation sending a jolt through him. Noticing his lack of response, Ruhanika paused, a furrow of confusion crossing her brow. She looked up at him, her expression a mix of curiosity and confusion.

Ruhanika: "Ye aapko gudgudi nahi hoti???"

(Doesn’t tickling work on you?)

Rudraksh shook his head, a mixture of amusement and disbelief on his face as he tried to suppress a smile. Her expression shifted to a disappointed pout, her eyes reflecting her letdown.

Rudraksh: "Offo sohneyo, tusi kinne masoom ho, cuteness di dukaan! Kha javanga tuhanu kise din."

(Oh dear, you’re so innocent. You’re a bundle of cuteness! One day I’ll just eat you up.)

Rudraksh couldn't resist the urge to playfully tug at her cheeks, his fingers gently pinching the soft skin. Ruhanika looked up at him, her brows furrowed in confusion, a mix of surprise and curiosity dancing in her eyes. Rudraksh chuckled at her reaction, enjoying the way her expression shifted to confusion.

Ruhanika: "Ji kya karenge??"

(Wh-what will you do?)

Rudraksh: "Vahi Jo tum kar rahi thi."

(What you were doing.)

Before Ruhanika could respond, Rudraksh playfully pulled her onto the bed, and she found herself lying on her back, looking up at him with wide eyes. Without missing a beat, he began tickling her sides, his fingers dancing across her stomach. Laughter erupted from both of them, filling the room with an infectious joy. Ruhanika squirmed beneath him, wiggling and trying to escape his playful assault, but it only fueled Rudraksh's determination. In the midst of their laughter, Rudraksh didn’t fully register how he had unintentionally positioned himself above her, lost in the exhilaration of the moment. Their eyes sparkled with happiness, the carefree atmosphere wrapping around them like a warm embrace. Ruhanika’s giggles rang out, each sound a testament to their blossoming bond, while Rudraksh reveled in the shared joy, a genuine smile illuminating his face.

Ruhanika: "N..ahi, ba..s kariye."

(N-no, st-stop.)

Rudraksh: "Hasana tha na, ab haso."

(You wanted to make me laugh, right? Now laugh.)

Rudraksh continued his playful tickling, and their laughter filled the room, creating an atmosphere of pure joy. However, in the midst of their carefree fun, Ruhanika inadvertently swung her hand, accidentally hitting Rudraksh’s arm—the one he was using to support his weight. The sudden shift in balance caused him to tumble forward, landing directly on top of her. Both of their eyes widened in shock, and the air around them grew thick with an unexpected tension. Their laughter abruptly stopped, replaced by a sudden stillness. Ruhanika felt her heart race, a flutter of surprise and excitement coursing through her as she lay frozen in place beneath him. Rudraksh, too, was momentarily paralyzed, his gaze locked onto Ruhanika’s wide eyes. The playful energy from before was now replaced with an electric charge that hung between them. He could feel the warmth radiating from her, and the realization of their closeness sent a rush of emotions swirling within him. In that heartbeat, everything else faded away—their playful banter, the world outside, and even the laughter. It was just the two of them, suspended in a moment that felt both exhilarating and vulnerable. Ruhanika’s breath hitched slightly, and for a brief second, the playful bond they shared transformed into something deeper, a silent acknowledgment of the feelings blossoming between them.

Both Rudraksh and Ruhanika felt the weight of the moment, an unspoken tension lingering in the air as they gazed into each other's eyes, reflecting unknown emotions that neither could quite identify. Rudraksh, acutely aware of the intimate position they had found themselves in, quickly shifted his weight and scrambled to sit up, placing a few feet of space between them as he turned his back to her, deliberately avoiding her gaze. The warmth on their cheeks betrayed the flurry of feelings racing through them, each lost in their thoughts. While Rudraksh had a growing awareness of what that moment meant, Ruhanika remained puzzled by the sudden shift in their playful dynamic. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something had changed, something deeper had stirred, and her curiosity began to blossom. Gathering her courage, Ruhanika sat up on the bed and gently tapped Rudraksh on the back, her fingers brushing against his shirt.

Ruhanika: "Suniye"

(Listen.)

Rudraksh: "Hmm"

Rudraksh simply hummed in response, focusing on controlling his emotions and steadying his racing heartbeat. The sound was noncommittal, but it held an undercurrent of uncertainty. He stared ahead, the weight of the moment pressing on him as he struggled to gather his thoughts.

Ruhanika: "Hume gudgudi ho rahi hai."

(I’m feeling ticklish.)

Rudraksh's brows furrowed slightly as he turned to face Ruhanika.

Rudraksh: "Par main tumhe gudgudi kaha kar raha hu ab??"

(But I’m not even tickling you right now.)

Ruhanika: "Vo hume yaha, humare bhitar gudgudi ho rahi hai, jab aap humare pass aaye. Aap humari godh me sar rakh ke soye the na tab bhi ho rahi thi. Aisa kyu??"

(No, it’s inside. I feel ticklish inside when you come close to me. It happened when you rested your head in my lap too. Why is that?)

Ruhanika pointed towards her stomach, her expression curious as she sought his attention. Rudraksh followed the direction of her hand, momentarily lost in thought as he tried to process how to explain the complex emotions swirling inside him. He glanced around the room, searching for the right words, feeling the weight of the moment pressing down on him. Just as he was struggling to find a way to articulate his feelings, Ruhanika, with her usual spontaneity, came to his rescue by shifting the conversation entirely.

Ruhanika: "Aur zara suniye."

(And listen.)

Rudraksh: "Hmm"

Ruhanika: "Vo humne dekha hai ki Ghar me mandir nahi hai, aisa kyu??"

(I’ve noticed there’s no temple in the house. Why is that?)

Rudraksh met her gaze for a moment before shifting his posture. He settled back onto the bed and picked up his laptop again, and resumed his work.

Rudraksh: "Bas nahi hai, aur hoga bhi nahi."

(There simply isn’t one, and there never will be.)

Ruhanika: "Kyu?? Bhagwan toh hone chahiye na ghar me. Aap mante nahi unko??"

(Why? There should be a God in the house. Don’t you believe in Him?)

Rudraksh: "Unhone mere sath aisa kuch nahi kiya hai betu ki unpe Vishwas karu main."

(He hasn’t done anything for me, dear, that would make me trust in Him.)

Rudraksh closed his laptop and, in the process, shut his eyes as well, lost in contemplation of his past. Memories surged through his mind, each one heavy with emotion, clouding his thoughts. Sensing the shift in his mood, Ruhanika gently shifted beside him. Her heart ached at the sight of him lost in contemplation. Without saying a word, she placed her hand on his shoulder, a simple yet comforting gesture. Leaning in, she pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, a tender action that seemed to envelop him in warmth. Rudraksh felt the soothing sensation of her lips against his skin, and it calmed the storm within his mind. He didn’t dare open his eyes, wanting to savor the moment—the connection that seemed to bridge the gap between their hearts. The gentle weight of her hand felt grounding, like an anchor pulling him back from the depths of his thoughts.

Ruhanika: "Aapko koi pareshani hai?? Aap chahe toh hume bata sakte hai."

(Are you troubled by something? If you want, you can tell me.)

Rudraksh slowly opened his eyes and turned his gaze towards her. The warmth of Ruhanika's kiss still lingered on his forehead, and he felt a wave of comfort wash over him. As he looked at her, he saw a softness in her eyes that mirrored his own vulnerability.

Rudraksh: "Nahi kuch nahi, aur ab is baare me baat nahi hogi. Aur tum bhi kyu manti ho unko?? Konsa kuch achcha kiya hai unhone tumhare sath bachcha??"

(No, nothing. And we’re not talking about this anymore. But why do you believe in Him? What good has He done for you, child?)

Ruhanika smiled brightly, her eyes sparkling with warmth as she gently took his hands in hers. The softness of her touch enveloped him, grounding him in the moment. She intertwined their fingers, creating an unbreakable bond that seemed to convey a promise of support and understanding. As she held his hands, Rudraksh felt a sense of peace settle within him, a reassurance that he wasn’t alone in facing his past.

Ruhanika: "Kiya hai na achcha."

(He has done something good.)

Rudraksh: "Kya??"

(What?)

Ruhanika: "Aap"

(You.)

Rudraksh: "Huhh??"

Ruhanika: "humare Shiv ji ne humari zindagi me hume aapko diya hai."

(Our Lord Shiva has given me you in my life.)

Rudraksh gazed at her with deep admiration, his heart swelling with emotion. It was a moment unlike any other; for the first time, someone was recognizing him as a blessing. Her words resonated within him, breaking through the walls he had built around his heart. He marveled at how Ruhanika saw the light in him, the parts he often struggled to acknowledge himself. Her belief in him illuminated the shadows of doubt that lingered in his mind, making him feel cherished and valued. In her eyes, he found validation and a sense of purpose that he had long sought but never fully embraced. The warmth of her affection wrapped around him like a comforting embrace, and he realized that this connection was something truly special—something worth cherishing.

Ruhanika: "Aap humare liye, Shiv ji ka diya hua sabse pyaara tohfa hai."

(You are the most precious gift from Shiva to me.)

Rudraksh: "Aur tumhe Aisa kyu lagta hai??"

(And why do you feel that way?)

Ruhanika: "kyuki unhone aapko humari zindagi me tab bheja jab hum bahaut akele the. Aap jante nahi hai humare man me kya kya hai, hum kaise the us ghar me."

( Because He sent you into my life when I was all alone. You don’t know what’s inside my heart, how I used to feel in that house.)

Ruhanika’s thoughts drifted back to her past in that house, memories flooding her mind like a storm. The weight of her experiences settled heavily on her heart, and as a lone tear slipped from her eye, Rudraksh felt an ache deep within him, as if someone had pierced his heart. He reached out, gently caressing her hand with his thumb, as if trying to soothe the pain he sensed radiating from her. The warmth of his touch was a quiet reassurance, an unspoken promise that she wasn’t alone.

Rudraksh: "Main nahi Janta toh mujhe batao na betu, Vada karta hu har ek ko saza dunga."

(I don’t know, so tell me, dear. I promise I’ll make sure each and every one of them pays for what they did.)

Ruhanika shifted closer to Rudraksh, seeking the warmth of his presence. She wrapped her arm around his biceps, feeling the strength beneath her fingers, and rested her head gently on his shoulder. It was a small, yet intimate gesture, one that spoke volumes about her trust and comfort in him. As she nestled against him, Rudraksh couldn't help but smile softly. He reached out with his other hand, gently caressing her cheek, his thumb tracing the outline of her face. The softness of her skin beneath his touch made his heart swell, and he savored the moment, cherishing the connection they were forging.

Ruhanika: "Hum aapko sab batana chahte hai, par Darr jaate hai."

(I want to tell you everything, but I get scared.)

Rudraksh: "Kiska Darr hai jaana tumhe?? Mujhse darti ho??"

(What are you afraid of? Are you afraid of me?)

Ruhanika: "Nahi, aapse nahi. Par bas pata nahi kabhi bol nahi paate kuch. Aapse pehle kisi ne hume suna hi nahi. Aur ab humare andar kya hai hum bol nahi paate."

(No, not of you. But I don’t know, sometimes I just can’t say anything. Before you, no one ever listened to me. And now, even though I want to speak, I can’t express what’s inside me.)

Rudraksh: "main sununga betu, tumhari har baat sununga, tum kaho toh sahi."

(I will listen, dear. I will listen to everything you have to say. Just say it.)

Ruhanika: "Himmat nahi ho rahi hai."

(I don’t have the courage.)

Ruhanika spoke softly, her voice laced with sadness. Rudraksh could sense the weight of her dilemma, the heaviness that rested on her heart. Determined to lift her spirits, he gently caressed her cheeks, his touch tender and reassuring. Leaning in, he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, a gesture filled with warmth and affection. At that moment, Ruhanika closed her eyes, completely melting into his touch. The soothing sensation of his lips against her skin washed over her, momentarily dispelling the shadows that clouded her thoughts.

Rudraksh: "Koi baat nahi, jab man ho tab bata dena, koi jaldi nahi hai. Main yahi hu tumhare pass."

(It’s okay. Tell me whenever you feel ready. There’s no rush. I’m right here by your side.)

Ruhanika turned her gaze toward him, a radiant smile spreading across her face. The light in her eyes sparkled with joy, instantly brightening the atmosphere between them. Seeing her happiness, Rudraksh couldn’t help but smile back, his heart swelling at the sight of her joy. Playfully, he reached out and poked her dimples, a familiar gesture that always made her giggle.

Ruhanika: "Aap jante hai, aap na bahaut achche hai, bahaut Bahaut bahaut achche, aur hume Bahaut bahaut bahaut pasand hai aap."

(Do you know, you’re really good, really, really good, and I really, really like you a lot.)

She playfully spread her arms wide. Rudraksh couldn't help but chuckle at her infectious energy. With a mock-seriousness, he dramatically bowed in front of her.

Rudraksh: "Aho bhagya humare jo hum Rajkumari Ruhanika Rajpurohit ko pasand aaye."

(Oh, what great fortune I have that I am liked by Princess Ruhanika Rajpurohit.)

Ruhanika gazed at Rudraksh in astonishment, and they both erupted into giggles.

Ruhanika: "Ruhanika Rajpurohit nahi, Ruhanika Aap Malhotra."

(Not Ruhanika Rajpurohit, Ruhanika You Malhotra.)

Rudraksh gradually quieted his laughter, his gaze settling on Ruhanika, who was still lost in her fit of giggles. A soft smile crept across his face, illuminating his features as he observed her infectious joy. There was an unexplainable warmth blossoming in his heart at the thought of her claiming a piece of his identity, even if indirectly. The way she referred to herself in connection with him felt like a gentle embrace, wrapping him in a sense of belonging and calmness he had never experienced before. As he watched her face light up with laughter, he found himself completely entranced by her spirit. Every giggle seemed to dance in the air, and he was lost in the moment, captivated by her vibrant energy. It was a beautiful reminder of how she effortlessly filled his life with happiness and meaning, making everything around them feel perfect.

Rudraksh: "Tusi aiven hi huste raho, sohneyo, baaki main sambhal lunga. Bas eh jaana chaunda haan ki tusi kinna dard saheya, te ohna lokan di saza v ohni buri hovegi, jina dukh tusi sehya hai."

(Keep smiling like this, dear, and I’ll take care of the rest. I just want to know how much pain you’ve endured, and the punishment for those who hurt you will be just as severe as the suffering you faced.)

Ruhanika: "Jiii??"

(What??)

Rudraksh simply shook his head, a bemused smile playing on his lips as he took in the scene before him.

Rudraksh: "Is huste hoye chehre de noor nu main saari zindagi bina palka jhapkaye vekh sakda haan, Sohneyo. Tere chehre di roshni vich bas jaana chaunda haan, ik pal vi nazar na hatan deni. Zindagi bhar bas tainu hi vekhda rehna da ji karda hai."

(I could look at the glow of your smiling face for a lifetime without blinking, dear. I just want to lose myself in the light of your face. Not for even a moment do I want my gaze to leave you. I wish I could spend my entire life just looking at you.)

Rudraksh muttered quietly to himself, his words barely audible as he continued to gaze at Ruhanika, captivated by her presence. She was animatedly talking about something—her voice light and cheerful—but he found himself lost in the mesmerizing glow of her smile, the way her dimples deepened when she laughed, and the spark of joy in her eyes. It was as if time stood still; the world around him faded away, leaving only the enchanting sight of her happiness.
