Both Rudraksh and Ruhanika made their way downstairs, her excitement resembling that of a child with a new toy. She lightly jumped on the steps, her soft pink slippers making gentle sounds with each hop. Rudraksh, although concerned for her safety, couldnât bring himself to stop herâher joy was too contagious. Instead, he held her hand firmly, ensuring she wouldnât fall. Once they reached the bottom, she turned to him with a bright, cute smile that made his heart skip a beat. Rudraksh smiled back, his eyes reflecting the warmth he felt seeing her so carefree and happy.
Ruhanika: "Kya ab hum aapke liye kuch bana sakte hai?? Humara bahaut man hai."
(Can I make something for you? I really want to.)
Rudraksh: "Achcha, Kya banaogi."
(Oh really, what will you make?)
As they walked towards the dining table, Ruhanika was completely engrossed in talking to Rudraksh, her eyes fixed on him as she excitedly shared her thoughts. Rudraksh, on the other hand, kept his eyes ahead, making sure they both walked safely without bumping into anything. He smiled at her enthusiasm, occasionally nodding and responding.
Ruhanika: J"o bhi aap kahe, hum sab bana denge."
(Whatever you ask for, I can make it all.)
Rudraksh: "thik hai toh spaghetti banao."
(Alright then, make some spaghetti.)
Ruhanika pouted sadly, her disappointment was clear. Rudraksh noticed her expression and had to suppress a smile, already knowing why she looked so disheartened. She only knew how to make Indian dishes, and it was evident that she was feeling a bit lost.
Rudraksh: "Kya hua?? Nahi banaogi?? Par Mera toh kitna man tha khane ka."
(What happened? You donât want to make it? But I was really craving it.)
Rudraksh spoke with a hint of sadness in his tone, trying to tease her, but instead, Ruhanika's expression turned more sorrowful, her eyes welling up with tears. When he didnât receive a response, he paused and turned to her, his heart sinking as he saw her glistening eyes. His own eyes widened in concern, and he quickly cupped her face in his hands, gently wiping away a stray tear with his thumb.
Rudraksh: "Heyyy, betu main toh mazaak kar raha tha, tum rone kyu lagi??? Shhh chup chup."
(Heyyy, sweetheart, I was just joking. Why are you crying? Shhh, quiet, quiet.)
Ruhanika: "Aapne pehli baar kuch manga, aur hume vo bhi nahi aata."
(You asked for something for the first time, and I don't even know how to make it.)
Ruhanika's words came out in choked sobs, and Rudraksh instinctively leaned in to embrace her, wanting to comfort her. But before he could reach her, she was suddenly pulled back by someone. Rudraksh's gaze snapped up, and his expression darkened as he recognized Rishwik standing there, blocking his path. Both Rishwik and Ashvik stood protectively in front of Ruhanika, forming a barrier between her and Rudraksh. Rudraksh glared at them, a mix of frustration and concern swirling within him. He wanted nothing more than to reach Ruhanika, to soothe her distress.
Ashvik: "Teddy ko rulaya kaise tune??"
(How could you make Teddy cry?)
Rishwik: "Sharam nahi aati, Angel ko rulate ho, jisne aapko hasaya??"
(Arenât you ashamed, making Angel cry, the one who made you laugh?)
Rudraksh: "Ek thappad padega na dono ki akkal thikane aa jayegi."
(One slap and you two will come to your senses.)
Rishwik and Ashvik maintained their stern expressions, still positioned in front of Rudraksh. However, Ruhanika, feeling a surge of determination, peeked out from behind Rishwik. She took a step forward, her heart racing, and reached for Rudrakshâs hand. The moment their fingers intertwined, Rudraksh couldn't help but smirk, his expression softening as he looked down at her. Rishwik and Ashvik exchanged glances, a mix of surprise and resignation flickering across their faces.
Ruhanika: "Aap inhe mat kahiye kuch, hum nahi ro rahe hai."
(Please don't say anything to them. Iâm not crying.)
Rishwik: "Tum daro mat Angel is cheh 2 foot inch jaise danav aadmi se, main hu na batao kya hua??"
(Donât be afraid, Angel. Iâm here for you. Why donât you tell me what happened? You don't need to fear this six-foot-two-inch giant.)
Ruhanikaâs eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly shook her head, her expression a mix of disbelief and determination.
Ruhanika: "Aise mat kahiye inhe, ye danav nahi hai, pati hai humare, aur aapke bade bhai, aise nahi bolte hai apne se bado ko."
(Donât speak like that to him. Heâs not a giant, heâs my husband. And heâs your elder brother. You should show respect to your elders.)
Rishwik was clearly enjoying himself as he teased Rudraksh, and Ruhanika couldnât help but jump in, giving him a lecture on manners. Her earnestness only fueled the playful banter, and Ashvik couldn't stifle a chuckle at the sight. Rishwik, pretending to be wounded by her words, dramatically pouted and put on a mock crying face, adding to the lighthearted atmosphere.
Rudraksh: "Aur tum, kya tum baat baat pe rone lag jati ho?? main toh mazaak kar raha tha."
(And you, why do you cry over everything? I was just joking.)
Rishwik and Ashvik exchanged bewildered glances, their expressions clearly indicating that they thought Rudraksh was acting like some kind of alien.
Ashvik: "Rudraksh Malhotra aur mazaak??"
(Rudraksh Malhotra and joking??)
Rishwik: "Ashvik bhai mujhe nind se jaoge, main kuch bhi sapna dekh raha hu."
(Ashvik, am I still dreaming? This feels like some kind of strange dream.)
Rishwik and Ashvik shared a light chuckle, but their amusement quickly faded as they noticed the sadness etched on Ruhanikaâs face. Sensing the shift in mood, Rudraksh stepped forward, gently placing his hands on her shoulders. He lifted her chin with tenderness, urging her to meet his gaze.
Rudraksh: "Kya ho gaya??"
(What happened?)
Ruhanika: "Aap sab log humare sath hi itna mazaak kyu karte hai?? Hum toh mazaak samajh bhi nahi paate."
(Why does everyone always joke with me? I donât even understand half of these jokes.)
Rudraksh, Rishwik, and Ashvik exchanged glances, each suppressing their laughter to ensure Ruhanika didnât feel any more disheartened. They understood the importance of maintaining a light atmosphere, and their efforts were aimed at lifting her spirits.
Ashvik: "Areh par tune kya mazaak kiya vo toh bata."
(Hey, but what joke did you even crack? Tell us.)
Ruhanika: "inhone kaha inhe koi videsh khana khana hai aur hume banana nahi aata."
(He said he wanted to eat some foreign dish, and I donât know how to make it.)
Ashvik: "Sharam kar le begairat aadmi, itni pyaari biwi ke sath koi aisa mazaak karta hai??"
(Have some shame, you shameless man! Who makes such jokes with such a sweet wife?)
Rudraksh: "Ye subah se tum dono ka muh jo zyada chal raha hai na, dhyaan se kahi khulne layak hi na bache."
(You two have been running your mouths since morning. Be careful, or I know how to close them.)
Rudraksh shot a fierce glare at Rishwik and Ashvik, causing Rishwik to quickly shift the conversation to a different topic.
Rishwik: "Toh bhai aap Kheer keh dete, aapko kitni pasand hai, Angel tumhe vo toh aata hoga na??"
(Then you shouldâve just asked for kheer, brother. You love it so much. Angel, you know how to make that, right?)
Ruhanika's face lit up like the sun, her smile radiant and full of joy.
Ruhanika: "Ha ha, aata hai hume aata hai, hum achcha banate hai, hum bana laaye aapke liye?? Aap khayenge??"
(Yes, yes, I know how to make that! I make it really well. Should I make it for you? Will you eat it?)
Ruhanika's eyes sparkled with excitement as she turned to Rudraksh, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm as she asked eagerly. Rudraksh couldn't resist her infectious energy and nodded with a smile. Just as she was about to dash toward the kitchen, Ashvik playfully stepped in front of her, blocking her path with an admiring expression.
Ashvik: "Ohhhh my god teddy"
Ruhanika, Rishwik, and Rudraksh turned their gaze toward Ashvik, curiosity and amusement dancing in their eyes.
Ashvik: "Girl you are looking so pretty, kitni pyaari lag rahi ho tum hayyyy. Ekdum swarg se utari apsara."
(Girl, youâre looking so pretty! Youâre glowing like an angel descended straight from heaven.)
Rudraksh placed a protective hand on Ruhanika's shoulder, his gesture instinctive and reassuring. He glanced at Ashvik, who shot him a sharp glare, clearly not appreciating the interference.
Rishwik: "Ashvik bhai, nazar mat lagao Angel ko subah subah."
(Ashvik bhai, donât jinx Angel this early in the morning!)
Rishwik pulled out some cash from his pocket, twirling it playfully around Ruhanika. With a grin, he summoned a nearby servant and handed the money over. Ruhanika looked at him in confusion, her brows furrowing as she tried to decipher his intentions. Meanwhile, Rudraksh watched with a proud smile, his heart swelling at the sight of his younger brother caring for Ruhanika.
Ruhanika: "Inke bhai, ye aapne kya Kiya??"
(His brother, what did he just do?)
Rishwik: "Tumhari Nazar utari hai Angel, itni pyari lagogi toh bhai ki hi nazar na lag jaye tumhe isiliye."
(I was just removing the evil eye, Angel. If you look this beautiful, even our brotherâs gaze might cast a spell on you.)
Rudraksh's smile quickly shifted into an annoyed expression as he watched the playful antics unfold. Just then, Ashvik couldn't hold back and delivered a light punch to Rishwik's stomach.
Ashvik: "Bekaar aadmi, meri nazar lagegi meri behen ko??"
(Fool! My gaze would cast an evil eye, to my own sister?)
This time, Ruhanika didnât feel hurt when Ashvik referred to her as âsister.â Instead, an unexpected warmth blossomed within her, filling her with a sense of belonging. It was as if the bond they shared had deepened, wrapping her in a comforting embrace.
Rishwik: "isme itna hinsak hone ki kya zaroorat hai???"
(Why are you getting so aggressive over a small thing?)
As Rishwik and Ashvik continued their playful banter, Rudraksh's irritation grew, evident in the furrow of his brow and the tightness of his jaw. Ruhanika, caught in the middle, glanced between the two brothers, puzzled by their lighthearted exchanges. She turned her gaze to Rudraksh, noticing his growing frustration.
Ruhanika: "umm, inke dost zara suniye."
(Umm, his friend, please listen.)
Rishwik and Ashvik paused their playful banter, their attention shifting to Ruhanika.
Ashvik: "Yess Angel."
Ruhanika: "Aap ye dekhiye, abhi Jo humne kapde pehne hai na, inhe kapde kehte hai na ki vo jo aap laaye the."
(Look at what Iâm wearing now. These are clothes, not whatever you brought for me the other day.)
Rishwik burst into laughter at Ruhanika's words, and even Rudraksh couldn't help but chuckle, the sound warm and infectious. Ruhanika's smile widened as she caught Rudraksh's eye, feeling a delightful spark between them. However, Ashvik, feeling left out of the laughter, crossed his arms and pouted, sulking like a child.
Ashvik: "Teddy yaar, ek galti ki saza kab tak bhugatni padegi mujhe???"
(Teddy, how long will I have to suffer for one mistake??)
Ruhanika: "Humne saza kab di??"
(When did I give you any punishment?)
Ashvik: "Ha toh ye torture hi toh hai jo tum keh rahi ho??"
(Well, what youâre saying is pure torture in itself!)
Ruhanika: "Humara bolna torture hai??? Kya Hum nahi bole??"
(My words are torture? Should, I do not say anything then.)
"Nooooooo"
Rudraksh, Rishwik, and Ashvik shouted in unison, their voices blending in chorus.
Rudraksh: "tum kabhi bolna band nahi karogi."
(youâll never stop talking.)
Rishwik: "vahi toh gala baitha hai toh aisi awaaz hai, thik ho jayega toh kitni pyaari awaaj hogi. "
(Thatâs the point! Even with her raspy voice, itâs sweet. Imagine how lovely itâll sound when sheâs fully recovered!)
Ashvik: "tum chaho toh main chup reh lunga, par tum nahi teddy. "
(I could be silent if you want, but you, Teddy? Never.)
Ruhanika smiled, her head slightly lowered in a shy manner, feeling a warm glow of happiness. The genuine affection radiating from the three brothers made her feel truly special. Each of them wore a smile that reflected their delight in seeing her become more comfortable and at ease in their presence.
Ruhanika: "Inke bhai, inke dost, hum aap dono ke liye kya banaye???"
(Your brother, your friendâwhat should I make for both of you?)
Rishwik and Ashvik's eyes lit up with excitement as they eagerly opened their mouths to share their favorite dish. However, a single glare from Rudraksh silenced them instantly. The playful tension in the air shifted as both brothers quickly reconsidered their words, exchanging sheepish glances.
Rishwik: "Kheer, Angel kheer hi khayenge hum dono bhi."
(Kheer, Angel, we both want kheer too.)
Ashvik: "Hume bhi vahi pasand hai."
(Yeah, we like that as well.)
Ruhanika smiled brightly, her eyes sparkling with appreciation, and nodded in agreement.
Ruhanika: "Hum jaldi se le aate hai."
(Iâll make it quickly then.)
Ruhanika nearly dashed into the kitchen, her excitement bubbling over.
Rudraksh: "Arehhh sambhal ke Ruh."
(Heyyy, be careful, Ruh!)
Rudraksh called out, but Ruhanika was already out of sight, lost in her culinary excitement. Rishwik and Ashvik began to circle around Rudraksh, grinning mischievously. He rolled his eyes in exasperation, trying to ignore their antics. Despite his annoyance, a small smile tugged at his lips, knowing how much joy Ruhanika brought to their lives.
Rudraksh: "Subah ki saza se pet nahi bhara, batau abhi??"
(Not satisfied with the morningâs punishment yet? Should I show you something now?)
Rishwik: "Kya bataoge bhai?? Ki Angel ko dekh ke pagal ho jaate ho??"
(What are you going to show, brother? How you lose your mind over Angel?)
Ashvik: "Vahi toh janab ne muskurana shuru kar diya hai, mazaak Masti shuru kar di hai."
(Exactly! The man has started smiling and cracking jokes.)
Rudraksh rolled his eyes at his brothersâ antics and made his way toward the living room, hoping for a moment of peace.
Ashvik: "Itni sundar biwi hai, isiliye ye office nahi jaata hai."
(Heâs got such a beautiful wife; thatâs why he never goes to the office!)
Rudraksh: "Aur tu kis Khushi me yaha pada rehta hai?? Tum dono ab tak ghar pe kyu ho???"
(And why are you lounging around here? Why are you both still at home?)
Rishwik: "Aap kya akele akele khaoge Angel ki kheer, humare man ka toh banne nahi diya aur vo ban Raha hai usme bhi takleef huhh."
(Oh, so youâre going to eat Angelâs kheer all by yourself? You didnât let us make anything we wanted, and now you're troubled by this too, huh.)
Rishwik made an exaggerated annoyed face at Rudraksh as they all settled onto the plush couch in the living room. Just then, Amandeep walked in.
Amandeep: "Good morning sir."
Rudraksh nodded in acknowledgment as Rishwik and Ashvik chimed in with their cheerful wishes.
Amandeep: "Sir, the diamonds delivery has been received, and we just need your signatures to proceed further."
Rudraksh nodded as Amandeep handed him the file and pen. He flipped open the file, his brow furrowing slightly as he began to read through the documents inside. The information was detailed, outlining various aspects of the project they were working on. Rudraksh made quick notes with the pen, jotting down important points and ideas that came to mind.
Amandeep: "Sir, the rest of the information has been gathered."
Rudraksh, Ashvik, and Rishwik exchanged knowing glances, instantly grasping what Amandeep was referring to. The atmosphere shifted slightly, as they all recognized the significance of the conversation. Rudraksh nodded, his expression turning serious as he engaged with Amandeep's points.
Rishwik: "Bhai, even the entire Rathore system has been hacked."
Ashvik: "All his investors have pulled out their investments from his company."
Rudraksh smirked as he signed the papers, his confidence evident in the swift, decisive strokes of his pen. The atmosphere shifted as they delved into the discussion.
Rudraksh: "Soon Vij...."
Rudraksh paused mid-sentence, his attention drawn by the gentle, melodic chime of Ruhanika's anklets. He turned to see her approaching, her face lit up by a soft smile that seemed to radiate warmth. The atmosphere shifted as Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep all turned to her, their expressions brightening at the sight of her cheerful presence.
Amandeep: "Ye apni Ruhi hai??? "
(Is this our Ruhi???)
Amandeep leaned in, whispering into Rishwik's ear, but the words were loud enough for Rudraksh to catch. Instantly, he shot Amandeep a sharp glare.
Amandeep: "I.. I.. me..an, Ruhanika ma'am."
Rudraksh turned his attention back to Ruhanika, who had approached and stood beside him. The warmth of her presence instantly brightened his mood. The other threeâAmandeep, Rishwik, and Ashvikâwatched the pair with smiles on their faces, unable to help but admire how cute and adorable they looked together.
Ruhanika: "Humne kheer bana li, chaliye na khane."
(Iâve made the kheer! Come, letâs eat.)
Rudraksh nodded and rose to his feet, joining Rishwik and Ashvik.
Amandeep: "Iâll take my leave now, sir."
Rudraksh nodded, but before he could say anything further, Ruhanika chimed in.
Ruhanika: "Ahh vo inke PA, aap bhi aaiye na nashta karne, humne sabke liye banaya hai."
(Oh, his PA, right? Why donât you join us for breakfast? I made enough for everyone.)
Amandeep: "I'm sorry Ruhi... I mean Ruhanika ma'am but.."
Rudraksh: "Come Aman."
Amandeep's eyes widened in disbelief, his jaw dropping in shock. It had been ages since Rudraksh had called him "Aman," a name that held a special familiarity between them. Ruhanika smile and gently wrapped her fingers around Rudraksh's biceps, as they began to make their way toward the dining table.
Amandeep: "Rishwik, Ruhi sach me Angel hai bhai, matlab ek Mafia jo kisi ki ek nahi sunta, use isne apne aage piche ghuma rakha hai."
(Rishwik, Ruhi really is an Angel, man. I mean, sheâs got a mafia boss, who doesnât listen to anyone, wrapped around her finger.)
Rishwik: "Sabse pehle toh Ruhanika ma'am bol, agar Angel ke devil ne sun liya na toh kal se nazar nahi aayega tu."
(First of all, call her Ruhanika ma'am. If Angel's devil hears you, you wonât be seen around here tomorrow.)
Ashvik couldn't help but giggle, meanwhile, Amandeep shot a stern glare at Rishwik, clearly unimpressed by his playful teasing.
Rudraksh: "Invitation chahiye teeno ko??"
(Do you three need an invitation?)
Rudrakshâs voice rang out, prompting Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep to dash toward the dining table, quickly settling into their seats. Ruhanika, filled with joy and excitement, watched them with a bright smile, her heart swelling at the warmth of the moment. The lively energy in the room only amplified her happiness, making her feel more at home than ever. She couldn't wait to join them and share in the delightful meal ahead.
Ruhanika: "Hum abhi aap sabko paros dete hai."
(Iâll serve you all now.)
Ruhanika grasped the bowl of kheer, ready to serve it, but Rudraksh gently took hold of her hand, stopping her in her tracks. She looked up at him, her brows knitting together in confusion, wondering why he had interrupted her.
Rudraksh: "Tum baitho nashta karne, servants hai na vo kar denge serve."
(You sit and eat. There are servants to serve.)
Ruhanika's smile faltered, replaced by a look of sadness that tugged at Rudrakshâs heart. He immediately sensed her dilemma and, without hesitation, stood up and guided her gently to her chair. Kneeling in front of her, he completely ignored the wide-eyed expressions of everyone else in the room. The air was thick with surprise, but all he could focus on was Ruhanikaâs gaze.
Rudraksh: "Darr lagta hai sabse??"
(Are you scared of everyone?)
Ruhanika nodded slightly, her gaze flickering away from Rudraksh.
Rudraksh: "Aur in sabse bhi Darr lagta hai tumhe??"
(Are you even scared of these people?)
Now the shocked gazes of Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep shifted into glares directed at Rudraksh, their expressions a mix of disbelief and mild annoyance at his question. However, Ruhanika's soft affirmation brought a radiant smile to her face, lighting up the room and momentarily melting away their annoyance.
Ruhanika: "Nahi inse nahi ye sab humse pyaar se baat karte hai, aur baaki log bhi karte hai par hume nahi pata aisa kyu hota hai, hume anjaan logo se bahaut darr lagta hai. Anjaan log achche nahi hote, par ye sab toh parivaar hai na."
(No, not of them. They all talk to me with love. Others do too, but I donât know why. I get really scared of strangers. Strangers arenât nice, but these people are family, right?)
Ruhanika spoke while glancing at Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep, her voice filled with newfound confidence. Rudraksh's heart swelled with happiness at the sight of her opening up, finally emerging from her shell and beginning to heal from her haphephobia. Yet, beneath that joy lay a pang of guilt. He felt remorseful for leaving her alone with unfamiliar faces for an entire week, knowing how much she relied on him for comfort and security. The realization weighed heavily on him, a reminder of the vulnerability she must have faced during that time.
Rudraksh: "Female staff appoint kar du??"
(Should I appoint female staff?)
Ruhanika: "Nahi nahi, aur Anjaan log nahi, vo bhi achchi nahi huyi toh???"
(No, no! No more strangers, what if they arenât nice either?)
Everyone's hearts sank for Ruhanika, and Rudraksh could see the flicker of fear in her eyes. He had an inkling about her unease regarding the female staff, but he chose not to delve into that topic at the moment. Instead, he focused on shifting her attention. Standing up briefly, he returned to his seat.
Rudraksh: "Actually thik hi hai, ab itne pyaar se tumne hi sabke liye banaya hai toh, tum hi serve kar do hum sabko achcha lagega."
(Actually, itâs fine. Youâve made all of this so lovingly for everyone, so you go ahead and serve it yourself. Weâd all like that)
Her radiant smile returned, lighting up her face as she glanced around the table, filled with excitement.
Ruhanika: "Aap sabko achcha lagega??"
(You all will like it?)
Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep nodded with smiles, their expressions mirroring Ruhanika's infectious joy. She beamed as she served everyone, her heart swelling with pride at being part of this shared moment. Once she settled back into her seat, she watched intently, curiosity sparkling in her eyes as she eagerly anticipated their reactions.
Ruhanika: "Jaldi se kha ke bataiye kaisa hai???"
(Quickly eat it and tell me how it is!)
As everyone tasted the kheer, they closed their eyes in delight, savoring the rich, creamy sweetness. However, both Rudraksh and Rishwik experienced a wave of nostalgia. Rishwik felt his eyes welling up momentarily, memories flooding back, but he quickly composed himself, forcing a smile to mask the emotions. Rudraksh, too, was reminded of something significant, though he kept his expression neutral, hiding the depth of his feelings beneath a calm facade.
Ashvik: "Teddy, tum toh chef nikli yaar itna achcha banaya hai."
(Teddy, youâre a chef! This is so good.)
Ruhanika smiled.
Amandeep: "Ma'am sach me bahaut achcha bana hai."
(Ma'am, it really is delicious.)
Rishwik: "Kheer toh sach me bahaut meethi hai aur yummy hai. Iske liye toh tumhe reward milna chahiye."
(The kheer is seriously so sweet and yummy. You deserve a reward for this.)
Ruhanika: "Inaam?? Aap inaam denge hume??"
(A reward? Youâll give me a reward?)
Rishwik: "Haa bolo kya chahiye??"
(Yes, tell me, what do you want?)
Ruhanika: "Par humne ye bahaut pyaar se sabke liye, humne inaam ke liye nahi banaya, hume nahi chahiye kuch."
(But I made it with love for everyone. I didnât make it for a reward, I donât want anything.)
Rishwik shook his head, a warm smile spreading across his face as he appreciated Ruhanika's innocence. Meanwhile, Ruhanika turned her gaze toward Rudraksh, only to find him already looking at her with a blend of admiration and affection.
Ruhanika: "Kya aapko pasand aaya??"
(Did you like it?)
Rudraksh: "Bahaut zyada, Roz banaogi kya??"
(I loved it. Will you make it every day?)
Ruhanika's smile widened even further, lighting up her face as she nodded her head enthusiastically.
Ruhanika: "Jii, hum roz banayenge aapke liye."
(Yes, Iâll make it for you every day.)
Rishwik, Ashvik, Amandeep: "Aur humare liye???"
(And for us too?)
The trio chimed in unison, their voices echoing playfully, but Rudraksh shot them a sharp glare to silence them. Ruhanika, however, couldnât help but smile at their antics.
Ruhanika: "Haan ji aap sabke liye bhi."
(Yes, yes, for all of you as well.)
The three of them exchanged knowing grins.
Rudraksh: "Chalo ab khud bhi toh Khao."
(Come on, now you eat too.)
Before Ruhanika could utter another word, Rudraksh gently fed her a bite, a gesture that made her momentarily speechless. Rishwik couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the couple, finding their dynamic both amusing and heartwarming. Meanwhile, Ruhanika, wanting to capture Rudraksh's full attention, gently tugged at his sleeves.
Rudraksh: "Hmmm"
Ruhanika: "Aap un sabhi ko keh dijiye na humne unke liye bhi banaya hai aur vo bhi kha le."
(Tell everyone else I made it for them too, and they should eat it as well.)
Ruhanika leaned in closer, her voice barely above a whisper as she said something to Rudraksh. He looked at her with a puzzled expression, trying to decipher the mystery behind her words.
Rudraksh: "Kin sabko??"
(Who all?)
Ruhanika gestured towards the servants bustling in the kitchen, and Rudraksh couldnât help but admire her selflessness. It warmed his heart to see how she cared for everyone, even going so far as to cook for the staff. With a subtle nod of acknowledgment to the servants, he asked to servants to continue with their breakfast. The meal was filled with Ruhanika's innocent charm, while Rishwik and Ashvik engaged in their usual playful banter, adding to the warmth of the moment.
After breakfast, Rudraksh decided to work from home, wanting to stay close to Ruhanika. Meanwhile, Rishwik, Ashvik, and Amandeep were preparing to head out to the office. Just as they were about to leave, Ruhanika chimed in, with a slight hesitation.
Ruhanika: "Inke bhai, kya aap aaj ghar par ruk sakte hai??"
(His brother, can you stay home today?)
Ashvik and Rishwik's eyes lit up with anticipation, their expressions reflecting a mixture of excitement and curiosity. They seemed to sense that Ruhanika was about to suggest something delightful. On the other hand, Rudraksh wore a puzzled look, trying to decipher what was brewing in her mind.
Ashvik: "Areh bilkul teddy, tum keh rahi ho toh ruk jayenge. Isme toh tumhara pati bhi kuch nahi bol payega."
(Of course, Teddy! If youâre asking, Iâll stay. Even your husband wonât be able to say anything to that.)
Rishwik and Ashvik exchanged eager glances, their grins widening as they settled back into their seats.
Ruhanika: "Inke dost, aap jaiye apko rukne ki zarurat nahi hai hume inke Bhai se kaam hai."
(His friend, you can go. You donât need to stay. I need to talk to his brother.)
Rishwik and Amandeep exchanged amused glances, their giggles bubbling over at the unexpected turn of events. Meanwhile, Ashvik's eyes widened in shock.
Ruhanika: "Aap nahi jayenge toh aapke paise cut jayenge, aur aapko toh vaise hi dukaandaar ne dhoka diya hai."
(If you donât go, your pay will be cut, and youâve already been cheated by the shopkeeper.)
Rishwik burst into laughter, unable to contain his amusement at Ashvik's astonished expression.
Ashvik: "Teddy main chala jaunga office par is tarah meri izzat ka kachra mat karo yaar baar baar."
(Teddy, Iâll go to the office, but stop ruining my reputation like this, please.)
Ruhanika: "Kya humne kuch galat kiya??"
(Did I say something wrong?)
Ashvik's heart melted once more, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he watched Ruhanikaâs innocence.
Ashvik: "Kuch nahi, achcha batao kuch khaogi?? Shaam ko lete aaunga."
(Nothing, okay, tell me, do you want to eat something? Iâll bring it in the evening.)
Ruhanika: "are nahi aap mat laiye aap bahaut bhole hai."
(No, no, donât bring anything. Youâre too gullible.)
Ashvik just wanted to bang his head against a wall, overwhelmed by Ruhanika's innocence. After a moment of exasperation, he sighed and decided to leave for the office, shaking his head with a mix of annoyance and amusement.
Rudraksh: "Betu tumhe Rishwik se kya kaam hai??"
(Sweetheart, what do you need from Rishwik?)
Noticing Ruhanika lowered her head and fidget with her dupatta, Rudrakshâs heart softened. Her nervousness was palpable. Gently, he reached out and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, lifting her chin with his fingers so their eyes could meet
Rudraksh: "Sohneyo??"
(Honey?)
Ruhanika: "Hum aapko baadme bataye toh chalega???"
(Can I tell you later?)
Rudraksh simply smiled at Ruhanika, not wanting her to feel more nervous. He stood up and gently patted her cheek.
Rudraksh: "Main kaam karne jau, tum Rishwik ke sath rahogi??"
(Shall I go to work, and youâll stay with Rishwik?)
Ruhanika nodded, her happiness evident in her bright eyes. Rudraksh smiled back at her before he and Amandeep made their way to the study room, leaving Rishwik to join her. Rishwik settled beside Ruhanika, a playful grin on his face.
Rishwik: "Bolo Angel, kya kaam hai??"
(Tell me, Angel, what do you need?)
Ruhanika: "Vo kya aap hume batayenge Spaghetti kaise banti hai??"
(Will you tell me how to make spaghetti?)
Rishwik smiled at her, his eyes twinkling with warmth.
Rishwik: "bhai ke liye banani hai??"
(You want to make it for brother?)
Ruhanika nodded.
Rishwik: "Main madad Karu banane me??"
(Should I help you make it?)
Ruhanika: "Aapko khana banana aata hai??"
(You know how to cook?)
Rishwik: "Hmm."
Ruhanika: "Ladke bhi khana banana jante hai??"
(Boys know how to cook too?)
Rishwik: "maine bhi bhai ke liye hi sikha tha. Vo itna kaam karte hai thak jaate hai isiliye."
(I learned to cook for my brother. He works so much, he gets tired.)
Rishwik's words brought back a wave of nostalgia, reminding him of their childhood memories. Ruhanika smiled at him, her expression warm and reminiscent.
Ruhanika: "Inke bhai, aap bhi bahaut achche hai."
(His brother, youâre really nice.)
Rishwik smiled warmly and gently patted Ruhanika's head, a gesture filled with affection. She looked up at him, her smile brightening even more in response. It was a simple act, but it conveyed a sense of comfort and safety that Ruhanika cherished. In that moment, she felt a connection with Rishwik, one that reminded her she was surrounded by caring people who wanted to see her happy.
Rishwik: "Chalo banate hai."
(Come on, letâs make it.)
Rishwik smiled at Ruhanika. She nodded, and together they made their way to the kitchen. Knowing Ruhanikaâs fear of people, the servants had discreetly stepped out to create a more comfortable atmosphere for her. As Rishwik began gathering the ingredients, Ruhanika watched him attentively. Then Rishwik turned to Ruhanika and asked her to chop some vegetables while he focused on preparing the sauce. She eagerly agreed, ready to lend a hand in the kitchen. The two worked side by side. Ruhanikaâs expression shifted to a pout, her eyes sparkling with unspoken thoughts. Rishwik noticed her lingering gaze and smiled, hoping she would feel encouraged to voice her feelings. Just as he expected, Ruhanika gently tapped his hand, drawing his attention. He turned to her, raising an eyebrow in curiosity, prompting her to share what was on her mind.
Rishwik: "Kaho kya kehna hai."
(Say what you want to say.)
Ruhanika frowned in confusion.
Ruhanika: "Aapko kaise pata, hume kuch kehna hai??"
(How did you know I wanted to say something?)
Rishwik chuckled.
Rishwik: "Bas pata chal gaya ab batao toh."
(I just knew. Now, tell me.)
Ruhanika smiled and looked down, pointing towards her feet. Rishwik followed her gaze, noticing the soft, pink slippers she wore. He chuckled lightly, realizing she was trying to show her slippers.
Ruhanika: "Ye dekhiye, ye humare kitne mulayam slippers lekar aye hai. Hume ye bahaut pasand aaya."
(Look at these, these super soft slippers he brought for me. I really like them.)
Rishwik smiled warmly, his eyes glistening with affection as he watched Ruhanika. In that moment, she resembled a child eagerly showing off her new slippers to her mother, her innocence and excitement radiating from her. Her little gesture tugged at his heartstrings, reminding him of the simple joys of childhood. Rishwik felt a surge of protectiveness and warmth toward her.
Ruhanika: "Achche hai na??"
(Arenât they nice?)
Rishwik blinked a few times, absorbing her adorable excitement, before nodding with a smile.
Rishwik: "Bahaut achche hai, aur chahiye tumhe main le aau tumhare liye???"
(Theyâre really nice. Do you want more? I can get more for you.)
Ruhanika: "Par ye hai humare pass, hum aur kya karenge??"
(But I already have these. What will I do with more?)
Rishwik: "Roz alag alag pehenna."
(Wear a different pair every day.)
Ruhanika: "Nahi, ye Wale ye lekar aaye hai humare liye hum yahi pehnenge."
(No, these were brought by him for me, so Iâll wear only these)
Rishwik couldnât help but chuckle at her adorable antics, a warm smile spreading across his face. He gently ruffled her hair, playfully.
Rishwik: "Thik hai, par ha kabhi kuch chahiye ho toh bata dena. Main nahi janta tum mujhe bhai manne se kyu darti ho."
(Okay, but if you ever need anything, just let me know. I donât know why youâre scared of me being your brother.)
Ruhanika's expression shifted at the mention of the word "brother." Her face fell, and she instinctively lowered her head, trying to hide the glistening tears that threatened to spill from her eyes. The joy that had just lit up her features was replaced by a shadow of sadness.
Rishwik: "Par tum mere liye meri choti behen hi ho, main humesha tumhara khayal rakhunga, jo chahiye vo le launga, jaisa kahogi vaisa karunga."
(But for me, youâre my little sister, and I will always take care of you. Whatever you need, Iâll get it for you, and Iâll do whatever you say.)
Ruhanika looked up at Rishwik, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. The vulnerability in her gaze tugged at his heartstrings, and he could see the whirlwind of emotions churning within her.
Ruhanika: "Aap humara khayal rakhenge??"
(You will take care of me?)
Rishwik: "Yess Angel."
Ruhanika: "Hume baakio ki tarah pareshan nahi karenge?? Bura nahi bolenge??"
(You wonât bother us like the others? You wonât say anything mean?)
Rishwikâs protective instincts flared up as he realized that someone had likely hurt Ruhanika, leaving her with these fears. Anger bubbled beneath the surface, but he quickly masked it with a warm smile. Leaning down, he gently patted her head, a gesture meant to reassure her.
Rishwik: "Kabhi nahi. Main tumhe kabhi pareshan nahi karunga. Aur ab ye aasu pocho, bhai ne dekh liya toh bahaut datenge mujhe, tum chahti ho mujhe daant pade??"
(Never. I will never bother you. And now wipe those tears; if your brother sees them, heâll scold me a lot. Do you want me to get scolded?)
Ruhanika shook her head, and Rishwik smiled warmly.
Rishwik: "Chalo jaldi se Spaghetti banate hai."
(Come on, letâs quickly make the spaghetti.)
Ruhanika nodded, a bright smile lighting up her face, and they both resumed their work in the kitchen.
Rishwik: "Ye pepper kaha rakh diya maine."
(Where did I keep the pepper?)
Rishwik scanned the kitchen for the container and reached up to grab it, but in the process, his hand accidentally nudged another one filled with flour. Before he knew it, the container tipped over, showering him in a cloud of white powder. He coughed, startled, and turned to Ruhanika, who was frozen in shock for a brief moment. Then, to his delight, she erupted into laughter, her joyful giggles echoing through the kitchen. Rishwik couldn't help but smile even wider as he watched her. It was the first time heâd seen her laugh so freely, and the sight filled him with warmth. Her infectious laughter was like music, and he felt a surge of happiness at being the cause of it.
Ruhanika was doubled over with laughter, clutching her stomach as joy bubbled out of her. Her laughter filled the kitchen, a pure, melodic sound that was impossible to resist. Rudraksh, who was making his way to the living area, paused as he heard her delightful voice. Intrigued, he stepped into the kitchen and was immediately struck by the heartwarming sight before him. There stood Rishwik, covered in flour, looking slightly sheepish yet amused, while Ruhanika laughed without restraint. The scene warmed Rudrakshâs heart in a way he hadnât anticipated. It was a moment of pure happiness, one that he wished to cherish for a lifetime. Her laughter was like a soothing melody, washing over him and filling him with an overwhelming sense of peace and contentment. In that instant, he realized how much he cherished seeing her happy, and he silently vowed to always create more moments like this.
Ruhanika: "Maaf kijiye inke Bhai, par aap bahaut ajeeb lag rahe hai."
(Excuse me, his brother, but you look really strange.)
Ruhanika's laughter was infectious, and soon Rishwik couldn't help but join in, his chuckles mixing with hers as they shared the lighthearted moment. Their laughter echoed through the kitchen, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth and joy. Rishwik, still dusted with flour, playfully feigned offense, dramatically wiping at his clothes as if to highlight the absurdity of the situation. Rudraksh watched them, a smile spreading across his face. It was a simple moment, yet it felt profoundâseeing his wife so carefree and full of life, and witnessing the bond growing between her and Rishwik. In that laughter, there was a sense of healing, a reminder that even amidst struggles, joy could find its way in. The kitchen, once a place of anxiety for Ruhanika, was transformed into a sanctuary of happiness.
Rishwik: "Ruko tumhe bhi banata hu aisa."
(Wait, Iâll make you something like this too.)
Ruhanika: "Nahi nahi hume nahi."
(No, no, I donât want that.)
Ruhanika's laughter filled the kitchen as she darted around, Rishwik hot on her heels, both of them caught up in a whirlwind of joy. Rishwik, in a moment of playful mischief, flung some flour at Ruhanika, but she dodged, and the powdery cloud landed squarely on Rudraksh's shirt instead. Rishwik's eyes widened in disbelief, while Ruhanika froze, her laughter turning into a surprised gasp. They both exchanged worried glances, bracing for Rudraksh's reaction, fearing that he might be angry. However, as Rudraksh turned to face them, the corners of his mouth twitched, struggling to suppress a smile. The sight of his flour-covered shirt and the two of them looking so innocent and playful melted any irritation he might have felt.
Rudraksh: "Koi baat nahi."
(No problem.)
Rudraksh couldnât help but smile at their infectious laughter, the sound warming his heart. Rishwik and Ruhanika exchanged playful glances, their eyes sparkling with mischief, and they both erupted into giggles once more.
Rudraksh: "Vaise kya ho raha hai yaha??"
(By the way, what's going on here?)
As Rudraksh stepped into the kitchen, Ruhanika quickly reached out and grasped his hand, halting his movement.
Ruhanika: "Aap abhi mat aaiye na, hum kuch kar rahe hai kuch der me aapko dikha denge, kya aap thoda intezar kar lenge??"
(Please don't come right now. We're doing something, and I'll show you in a little while. Can you wait for a bit?)
Rudraksh smiled.
Rudraksh: "Bahar hi intezar kar raha hu, jaldi aana."
(I'm waiting outside. Come soon.)
Ruhanika nodded with a bright smile.
Rudraksh: "Aur hasti raha karo, achchi lagti ho mujhe."
(And keep smiling like this. You look beautiful when you do.)
Ruhanika's cheeks flushed a soft pink, and she instinctively bit her lip, a gesture both shy and endearing. The sight made Rudraksh's heart race, causing him to swallow hard, caught off guard by her unintentional charm. Feeling the heat of the moment, he decided to step away, needing a moment to collect his thoughts. As he left, he couldn't shake the smile from his face, his mind lingering on the sweetness of Ruhanika's innocence and the subtle connection that seemed to deepen between them.
Rishwik: "Angel, maine jaisa bataya vaise Karo, main kapde badal ke aata hu."
(Angel, do it the way I showed you. I'll just go change my clothes and be back.)
Ruhanika couldn't help but giggle again and nodded. Rishwik, amused by the lighthearted moment, chuckled as he made his way out to his room.
After a little while, Ruhanika approached Rudraksh, a bowl in her hands, her excitement evident as she made her way toward him. He was deeply engrossed in his work on the laptop in the living room, completely focused. Just then, Rishwik, coming down the stairs, caught sight of Ruhanika heading towards Rudraksh. A warm smile spread across his face as he realized the sweet moment unfolding between them. Deciding to give the couple some privacy, he quietly retreated back to his room, allowing them to enjoy their time together without interruption.
Ruhanika placed the bowl in front of Rudraksh, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. When he noticed the spaghetti, a mix of surprise and delight crossed his face. He looked up at her, curiosity evident in his gaze,
Rudraksh: "Tumne banaya Sohneyo??"
(Did you make this, sweetheart?)
Ruhanika nodded.
Rudraksh: "Tumhe toh nahi aata tha??"
(But you didnât know how to make it before?)
Ruhanika: "Aapke bhai ne sikhaya, aur hum Sikh gaye."
(Your brother taught me, and I learned.)
He gently took her hand and guided her to sit beside him on the couch. The warmth of her presence filled the space, and he felt a surge of happiness as they settled together.
Rudraksh: "Isiliye Rishwik ko rukaya tha??"
(Is that why you asked Rishwik to stay?)
Ruhanika nodded enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with pride. Rudraksh couldn't help but smile back at her, feeling a warmth in his chest.
Ruhanika: "Aap chakh kar batayenge kaisa bana hai??"
(Will you taste it and tell me how it is?)
Rudraksh blinked in agreement and grabbed a fork, twirling it to scoop up the spaghetti. As he brought the fork to his mouth, he noticed Ruhanika watching him intently, her curiosity evident in her wide eyes. She leaned a little closer, eager to see his reaction.
Ruhanika: "Kaisa hai??"
(How is it?)
Rudraksh: "Areh waah Ruh, tum toh bahaut smart ho, lag hi nahi raha pehli baar banaya hai. Bahaut hi achcha hai."
(Wow, Ruh, you're really smart! It doesn't feel like it's your first time making this. It's really delicious.)
Ruhanika beamed with joy, her smile wide enough to light up the room. As Rudraksh took another bite, she leaned in closer, her eyes filled with curiosity and excitement.
Rudraksh: "Dasso ji ki hoya??"
(Tell me, what happened?)
Ruhanika: "Kya??"
(What?)
Rudraksh: "Kya hua betu, bolo bhi."
(What happened, sweetheart? Tell me.)
Ruhanika: "Vo hume isse khane nahi aata, aap sikhayenge??"
(I don't know how to eat this. Will you teach me?)
Ruhanika pointed at the fork, her eyes sparkling with determination. Rudraksh smiled warmly and handed it to her, eager to teach her how to use it properly. However, Ruhanika struggled, her movements clumsy and unsure. With a gentle chuckle, Rudraksh decided to take a different approach. He began feeding both himself and Ruhanika, using his own hands to share the spaghetti. Throughout the day, they built beautiful memories together, each moment adding a new layer to their bond. Ruhanika felt more at ease, enjoying the simple pleasure of being with Rudraksh, who made her feel cherished and safe.
