Brittany remembered that the previous night had been a family feast at the Salter’s. She wasn’t interested in the Salters’ internal disputes, but she was curious about Leda.

So she asked, “How’s Leda doing recently?”

She still remembered that Daniel had taken a beating from her. She wasn’t going to let that go easily.

“The Salters aren’t willing to let her in. She’s got a long way to go before she’s accepted.” Wesley scoffed.

Once in her car, her secretary turned on the radio.
