Chapter 745
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 745 After lunch, Kevin came over with some paperwork to sign, and they headed to the study to discuss the business. Not long after, Zach thought it would be a great opportunity to teach Madelyn to drive.
He was all in on the driving lesson. He had transformed a storage space in their home into a garage filled with luxury cars. A standout was the custom pink Bentley, distinctly different from the others.
âZach, I canât practice driving today,â Madelyn explained. âIâve got a new order at the studio I need to finish. How about we reschedule?â
âCan you spare two hours?â Zach asked, not ready to give up. Once they got into the car, he gestured for her to take the driverâs seat. With a hesitant grip on the steering wheel, Madelyn asked, âShouldnât I start with the basics? Iâve never driven before.â
âDonât worry, the basics will be a breeze for you.â Zach assured her.â Letâs get straight to hands-on practice.
In the car, Zach explained the essential features, and Madelyn caught on immediately. As she tried to back out of the garage, she pressed the gas pedal too hard and bumped into the Rolls- Royce Zach often used. A loud crash followed, and they both lurched forward, not having fastened their seatbelts.
Just as her forehead was about to hit the steering wheel, Zachâs hand protected her. âEase into the gas, â he said. âNo need to hurry.â
Madelyn looked deeply remorseful. â Iâm so sorry. I damaged your car,â she whispered. She could not afford the repairs. Seeing her concern, Zachâs expression grew stern. âKeep driving,â he said.
In her past life, Madelyn never needed to drive. She always had chauffeurs and bodyguards when she went out. Zach would not let her leave without his permission. She thought about getting a driverâs license once, but other things got in the way.
It took Madelyn a whole twenty minutes to cover just half a mile, bumping into multiple cars along the way. Her âsorrysâ got softer after each blunder.
Feeling the strain, Zach said, âDonât worry about it. Just keep driving.â He wasnât concerned about the cars, but he was definitely getting irked. âShe remembers everything I taught her in her studies. Sheâs a sharp student. Why canât she get the hang of driving?â
What was supposed to be a two-hour practice session stretched into more than three, all within the confines of their expensive estate. Zachâs annoyed expression made Madelyn uneasy. To cap it off, she spent an additional half hour just trying to park the banged-up car. Repairing the scuffs and dents would be costly.
âZach!â she yelled as he started to walk away. He halted but didnât turn around. âMaybe learning to drive isnât for me right now. Youâve already got a lot going on; you donât need to stress over me.â She caught up to him and handed him the car keys. âIâm sorry for messing up the car. Iâm going inside to sort myself out.â
