~CHAPTER 35~

*•*•*•Can you just stay on the phone?•*•*•*

"Ahh home sweet home." I say and look behind me to see the May, Cole and Liz looking at the house with mouths hung open. "Oh come on. Don't look at it like that."

We got here a couple of seconds ago and the first thing they noticed was how big the house is, not even the beautiful garden gnome Sebastian had made in the second grade that was sitting by the front door. I would've noticed the size first too so I don't know who I'm kidding. It's not small but it's also not huge. Let's call it a small mansion. Yeah that's about right.

"Like what?" Lizzie says being the first one to speak since we got here.

"Like you had never seen a house."

"Not this size." Cole comments and I sigh shaking my head.

"I'm sure you have, now come, come. I don't think you've met Cinnamon, Coconut and Cupcake." We all grab our suitcases from the trunk and start walking to the front door. I open the door and walk inside, we take off our shoes and I tell them to leave the luggage by the door that we would pick them up later. I walk to the kitchen the three of them following closely behind. "Mom? Sebastian?" We make it to the kitchen and see Seb dancing shirtless in front of the open fridge, with a spoonful of ice-cream in his mouth. When he turns around and see's all of us, he drops the spoon and jumps frightened.

"That was quite a dance babe." May says trying to contain her laughter.

"Why didn't you scream? I would've greeted you at the entrance." He says walking around the counter to hug me.

"I did scream. You were deep in dance mode," I shrug as he hugs me and I hug him back. He then proceeds to go hug and kiss May. They are honestly the cutest. "Where's mom?"

"She went to the supermarket to get extra things for thanks giving. Your grandparents are joining us for Thanks Giving. So is your aunt Karen, uncle Karl and your cousins." He says and I groan in protest.

"Why?" I whine and he shrugs. We start walking to the living room.

"You remember the deal Uncle Michael had with your mother's side of the family. I don't know why you're surprised."

"I thought that after he uh... died, that would've ended."

"I don't think so." He shakes his head and sits down on the sofa and May sits next to him. I hear barking and soon after the C trio entered the living room.

"Hello boys. Did you miss me?" they all jump on me and start licking my face.

Cinnamon, Coconut and Cupcake are obviously my dogs. Cinnamon is a beautiful Golden retriever. Dad had gotten him for me when I was just a little girl. I was about 6 years old when I got Cinnamon. Coconut is a cute little French bulldog he has caramel colored fur with darker spots all over his body, he was the first dog I had gotten with my own money I got him when I was like 11 years old and dad wanted me to get a fish or something, but I had told him that this was the dog that I wanted and he let me get him. And Cupcake the newest addition to the family I got him two months after dad died, a drunken night's decision with Hailey. And I regret nothing because they make me happy.

"I'm taking that lick as a yes." They get off me and I sit on one of the couches. Coconut jumps on my lap and I scratch him behind the ear. I see Cinnamon jump on Cole's lap and he becomes stiff not knowing what to do. "Are you afraid of dogs?"

"Kind of, it's just I've never come close to one."

"Never?"

"Never. The apartment building where my family used to live didn't allow pets and then my parents sent me to Henderson, so I never got the chance to get a pet."

"That's so sad. Well there's your first dog experience. Cinnamon meet Cole, Cole that's Cinnamon." Cinnamon gets up and licks Cole's face. Cole goes still and I chuckle.

"What is he doing?"

"He's licking your face." I state the obvious.

"Why?"

"He's getting to know you Cole. Relax dogs can sense fear." I say scratching Coconut. I hear the doorbell ring and go to answer it. When I open it I see a fuming Hailey. When she sees me a smile instantly break out on her face.

"What the fuck?" She asks coming in for a hug.

"Hey Hails. Surprised?" I hug her tightly.

"I really fucking am. What are you doing here?  Aren't you supposed to be at that real prestigious Academy?"

"Well they accidentally let me lose and I escaped."

"So what you're saying is that they let you go home for Thanks Giving?" she asks and I nod.

"Yup basically." I close the door behind her and link my arm with hers. "Come on I want you to meet some of my best friends."

"Is this your very subtle way of telling me that you're dumping me for a couple of trouble makers? After everything that we've been through?" She says being over the top.

"You know it." I nod chuckling at her tactics.

"Well then lead me to them I wanna see the people that stole you from me."

"Of course, right this way." We enter the living room and everybody looks our way. "Guy I have someone I want you to meet. May, Liz, Cole, this is Hailey. Hails, this is almost everybody."

"Yep Lucas and Maddie's lover boy are missing." Cole says smirking at me and then looks at Cinnamon scratching his belly. Hailey turns to me with a smirk.

"Lover boy?" She asks.

"Not lover boy, Chase. My roommate." I say enunciating the word roommate and I see Cole roll his eyes.

"Anyways I came here for a reason." She turns to Seb. "Seb where's my bra?" May turns towards Seb with a look that could kill.

"Something you want to tell me?" May says and Sebastian lifts his arms in the air as if saying that he's innocent.

"There's nothing going on. I don't even find her atracctive."

"Ouch, but he's right May was it? My idiot brother keeps taking my stuff and leaving it somewhere in this house and well today I woke up and didn't find my bra." She explains and I chuckle.

"Wait are you braless right now?" I whisper and reach out to grab one of her ta-tas, but she slaps my hand before I could see if she has a bra on or not.

"Shh. Yes I'm braless."

"Girl you've got to get more than one bra."

"I do have, well I did have. Javi cut them all up in pieces. That little piece of shit is looking for a beating. And he's going to get it once I get my bra back." She turns back to Seb and smiles. "Now please, tell me where my bra is."

"Check Maddie's room that's where he always puts your stuff."

"Thank you so much for your cooperation." She starts going up the stairs and turns around. "You coming?" She ask looking my way.

"Yup." I go after her and we start making our way to my room. When we get there we see her bra on my bed. "Wow creative hiding place."

"I know right. Oh my god that's my hair brush... and my MTV shirt."

"Why is your brother hiding your stuff in my bedroom?" I say sitting down on my bed her following close after.

"I have no clue, but I'm gonna tell him that you're here so he stops."

"Don't tell him, next time he comes I'll see If he's still avoiding me." I sigh and lay back.

"He isn't avoiding you M, he just needed time. You kind of sprung the break up on him, he didn't know what he had done wrong or anything. I'm still mad at you for the way you broke up with him."

"I know, I know. I'm a shitty person for that."

"But you know what? He understood."

"Did you know that I broke up with him about two month after the day I was actually gonna break up with him."

"You did?"

"Yup I was going to break up with him the day of the crash, but then the crash happened and I was unconscious for two weeks before I saw him again so... you know." I chuckle humorlessly and she frowns.

"Were you unhappy with him? I'm sorry for asking, but I had always wanted to know what had gone wrong between you two." She says and I turn my head towards her.

"Not unhappy, more like everybody wanted that relationship to happen so badly that I forced my feelings for him and he didn't deserve that. He was a great boyfriend, but not the one for me." I smile a sad smile towards her and she nods in understanding.

"I think that deep down he knew that your relationship was having problem and held on a little tighter because he didn't want to lose you."

"I never wanted to talk to you about these things because you're his sister, but look at us now."

"Hmm yeah, okay, okay let's change the subject. What was that guy downstairs talking about?" She says smirking and I already know what she's talking about.

"Which one?" I say acting all clueless.

"Cole." I sigh and sit up her following soon after.

"I have a boy roommate as you now know and well everybody thinks I have feelings for him. That's all."

"I don't believe it. You like somebody new and you didn't tell me?" She exclaims happily and I shake my head.

"I don't like him and I have liked other people at school, and have gone in dates that you didn't know about."

"You went on dates? As in plural?"

"Yes."

"I'm so proud. Who's the guy?"

"Somebody I no longer speak with."

"What did he do?"

"Cheated on me with his ex. You know what I wouldn't call it cheating since we weren't exclusive, but yeah."

"Oh M... I'm sorry."

"It's okay, really. I cried because well I never thought that he would do that but after a couple of days I wasn't sad because if I'm being completely honest I didn't feel anything with him. I mean I was happier when I was away from him, and I know that sounds horrible, but it's the truth. I wanted it to be more, but it felt a little like with Javi, like I was forcing it to please people that wanted to see us together."

"Are you ever going get into a relationship for yourself?"

"I've had relationships for myself before."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Who?" I think about it for a second before answering with a smile.

"Grayson."

"I had told you to ask him out because you two would be a cute couple."

"James?"

"Your boyfriend before Javi?" I nod and she shakes her head.

"Fuck."

"Yeah. What about that guy, your roommate?"

"Chase?" She nods and I shake my head. "I don't like him."

"Bullshit."

"Excuse me?" I asked shocked.

"That's complete and utter bullshit. Every time you say his name the light comes back to your eyes."

"No it doesn't." I shake my head.

"Yes it does. You look like you did before everything."

"Before dad died? Before I became unhappy?"

"Before you lost yourself."

"Lost myself?"

"M, you used to be in the cheer squad, you used to be the fucking Cheer Captain. But then you started drinking more, you started doing drugs. You pushed everybody away. You pushed me away." She says looking heartbroken.

"I was sad. That's no excuse, but I was sad Hails and I really tried, but I couldn't bring myself to be around people or even be." I lay down.

"I know and that's what I mean. Your sadness went away."

"It didn't go away I just wasn't reminded of it every time I looked around." I say with a small smile. She nods in understanding and lays back down again behind me. I close my eyes and sleep takes over me.

...

I wake up gasping for air. Goddammit. I look around expecting to see Chase, but I remember that he's with his family. I quickly get my phone. I search thought my contacts looking for his name. I click call and it rings a couple of times before he answers.

"Hello?" He says in a groggy voice. I look outside to see that it's dark already. Oh god I'm a horrible person. "Princess?"

"Hey." I say with a shaky voice.

"Is everything okay?"

"Totally." I clear my throat. I can hear some rustling coming from his side and a click before he speaks again.

"What's wrong?" He asks with a worried tone.

"Nothing. Accidental butt dial."

"While you're sleeping?" He asks and I sigh. "What's wrong Addie?"

"I uh- I had a nightmare." I explain.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asks clearing his throat.

"No."

"Do you want to hang up?"

"No."

"Do you want to just talk?"

"No. Can you just stay on the phone?" I ask nervously.

"I can do that." And that's how we'd spent the rest of the night or well until we went to sleep.

Hello beautiful people I like to call readers of Wattpad. Yes I'm not dead. Yes I'm updating another chapter under a month and before nine p.m. . First of all I would like to apologize for my inconsistency. I'm on vacation and do not have my laptop with me and it's really hard to write on my mother's IPad mini. Anyways what do all of you think of this chapter. They got to her house. You guys got to really meet Hailey. And please it's not a chapter if we don't hear from Chase so I obviously had to add him in the last scene.
