~CHAPTER 27~

"So I was thinking that we could dress up as the power puff girls for Halloween and then Lucas can be Prof. Utonium." I say to Liz.

"Let's do it, I think I saw a costume store when we went out the other day."

"I was actually thinking we could make them."

"Sure, that woul-"she starts but I cut her off.

"Hey where's May?" I say looking around the dining hall.

"She said she was going to the library to study." She says smirking and I know what we're talking about here. I chuckle and I put my hand over my chest.

"May? Study? I'm in shock" I say dramatically and we laugh.

"How long is she going to pretend that she and Sebastian aren't texting?" Lizzie found out not long after me that May and Seb are texting each other. We found out that each of us knew when one day we both just blurted it out at the same time, it was hilarious.

"I don-" I start to say but the doors to the dining hall slamming open cut me off.

"Hey babes look what I found in the library." She says and shows us the Ouija board in her hands.

"A Ouija board, Seb and I used to play this all the time when we were little I remember some good times." I say and she passes the game towards Liz.

"So you wanna do it?" She asks with a smirk.

"Do what?" Max ask as he bends down and gives me a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. He sits down next to me and I smile.

"We're going to play with the devils board." I say and Liz shoves the board in the direction of Max.

"Where did you guys find a Ouija board?"

"In the library next to some dusty skeleton that had the board in his lap with a sign that said do not play." May says as she plays with the ends of her hair. Uhm okay not creepy at all.

"Yeah you guys have fun with that." He pauses. "I will be helping Mr. Waters clean his classroom."

"Why?"

"Because it's a punishment for destroying it."

"Oh well have fun cleaning."

"Have fun summoning the devil." He yelled as he left the dining hall.

"Sure will." I yelled back and I chuckled. I got a few weird looks but I didn't give a fuck, I was summoning a sprit today, if I was lucky maybe even a demon from the deep fiery depths of hell.

"So we doing this?" May says grabbing the box and at the same time interrupting my train of thoughts.

"Hell yeah, but let's do this the right way."

"I don't know love what if we really do summon the devil." Liz says and we all give each other that look that we know she was kidding and burst out laughing. "Oh I needed that I almost couldn't say that with a straight face." She says and we all continue to laugh like the maniac that we truly are. "Let's go."

...

"Let's start with an easy question. Are there any spirits here?" I say, and the planchette moved to yes and we all smile at that. After we left the dining hall we got a bunch of candles from the office they seem to stock up during October because of all of the creepy people. Anyways we were all in the middle of my room with the lights out and a bunch of candles lit, is that a fire hazard? Yes, yes it is, but do I care? No, no I don't. Back to the game.

"Me next. What is your name?" May asks, and the planchette moved forming the name Jacob. Who the fuck is Jacob. "Why are you here?" the planchette starts to move. And it spells *To finish the ga-* we don't get to finish before the doors burst open and I scream while I throw the planchette in the direction of the unholy spirit.

"Be gone unholy spirit." I scream. "Take Sebastian instead, he lives with my mom in Miami, Florida. I'm too young to die." I add holding onto Lizzie.

"Ow what the fuck Addie?"

"Chase?" I let go of Liz and move back to my original position in the circle.

"No it's Dora fucking Explorer." He says as he turns the lights on while he rubs his head in the spot that planchette hit him.

"You're not Dora the Explorer."

"What gave it away, my very manly voice," He says making his voice deep. "Or the fact that I didn't ask you a question and then did a long pause before you got the answer." He says and I snort. Oh how lady like.

"The fact that she's awesome and you're not." I pause. "Anyways we were playing Ouija before you came in, you were hit by the planchette."

"Yeah no shit. What the fuck are you guys doing playing Ouija?"

"It's October 24th bruh, the spirits are around. That's the best time to do this." May says and crawls towards the planchette and puts it on top of the board again. "Now turn off the lights, we were talking with a boy." She pauses. "I wonder if he's cute."

Chase turns off the lights and goes to his bed. "He probably isn't."

"Shh." The three of us say at the same time.

"Now again, Why are you here?" Liz is the one that asked this time *To finish the ga-* the door opened again and we all groan blowing out the candles. "We'll come back for you on the 31st Jacob."

"Who is Jacob?" Lucas asks almost immediately.

"The Ouija board spirit." I say and shrug standing up and sitting on my bed.

"Isn't that the guy that played the game last year and disappeared?"

"Yeah I heard he hasn't been found since last October."

"Why do I have a feeling that Jacob is the skeleton May found in the library?" Liz says and we all look at the board.

"Okay let's dispose of that later." I say and push the board towards the trash can with my foot.

"What have you girls been doing besides summoning the last player of the game?" Lucas asks and I shrug.

"We talked with Max and we were also talking about our Halloweens costumes." Now that I think about it today hasn't been much of a productive day we just sat around and talked about random shit.

"We never talked about our Halloween costumes." May says and Liz and I nod.

"We did you were texting Seb." Liz says and I almost burst out laughing at the look of terror that washed across May's face.

"I was not, I was in the library studying." She looks at me worriedly. Why is she looking at me worriedly does she think I'm going to kill her for dating my best friend in the whole wide world? Yes I will but that's only if she hurts him so she's on the safe side for now.

"You know it's okay right, that you're texting him I mean. I really don't mind." And it's the truth I really didn't mind I actually think they would make such a cute couple, everybody deserves happiness and if May and Seb find it with each other that's okay. Just like Liz and Lucas would make a cute couple too all that's left is for them to confess their feeling towards each other. I'm going to make it my mission, to get them together before Thanksgiving.

"Are you sure?" She asks with that worried look still on her face.

"Yeah, everybody deserves happiness if you two find it with each other than that's fine as long as you and Seb are happy." She goes to say something but I interrupt her before she can say anything. "But do know this, you break his heart and I will not hesitate to hurt you no matter how much I love you."

"Thank you." She smiles and hugs me, I hug her back and we go back into normal conversation.

"So what costume ideas did you two have in mind?"

"We were thinking about dressing as the Power Puff Girls and Lucas as Prof. Utonium."

"Oh that's cool, we could totally pull that off." She says and goes on her phone.

"Yeah you could be Buttercup, Liz could be Blossom, and I could be Bubbles." I say and see from the corner of my eye Chase shifting in his bed. What's up with him?

"That does not make any sense at all." Chase chuckles from his bed.

"Why not?"

"Because Bubbles is the soft and sweet Power Puff girl something you are not." I am not offended at all, this was expected.

"I was talking about appearances." I feel like I look like Bubbles, I have blond hair, blue eyes, small height, but all three of them have a small height. I don't know why I google shit like this but I googled how tall they are the other day and it says that they are 2'2, I'm not that small, but I'm still short.

"Okay then carry on." We all go back into normal conversation but we stop when I interrupt everybody.

"Hey just curious what is everybody's height?"

"5'7" May says

"5'8" Liz answers next

"6'0" Lucas smiles proudly.

"5'9" Cole shrugs and goes back to his phone.

"6'3" Chase says and wow that's hot. No he's you're roommate. Who the fuck cares it's not like he can hear me say this, plus a guy that's 6'3 is hot.

"So I'm like the little of the group." I interrupt my own train of thoughts.

"How tall are you darling?"

"5'4" That's really embarrassing, I take back my earlier statement, I'm not short I'm tiny.

"Oh how small. 5'3 really?" Chase asks and I nod.

"You're almost a foot taller that me." I say and remember something. I go grab my laptop and open Amazon. "Totally unrelated note, look at this."

"What?" I show him my laptop and he starts to laugh.

"Want to do it?" I ask and he nods

"Yeah let's do it" I ordered the things and shut my laptop.

...

"So... where to first." Lexi asks from where she was standing. We were all stanting in front of the entrance to the haunted carnival. Turns out that what I had read about a haunted house was true only that the haunted house was inside of a haunted carnival where you had different people come up to scare you during the night. This is gonna be fun.

"Well since we came for the haunted house, how about we start with that?" Chase says and looks towards me. I nod and we start walking towards the last place in this whole maze of people. There were different stations, there was a carve-a-pumpkin at the beginning of the haunted carnival, in the middle there was a clown maze that Chase looked at funnily, and then at the end in all its glory was the haunted house with spider webs and different types of scary shit that they used for decoration. From my left Chase muttered a 'let's get this over with' and I let out a quiet chuckle.

We entered and instantly I felt warm hands on my shoulders, I look up to see that it was Chase. I grab his hand from my shoulder and hold it in mine, dragging him around. I found a clown in a cage and he had drool going down his chin. These are all actors so I don't know what Chase is so scared of. I bend down with Chases hand still in mine and use my free hand to touch the part of the colorful afro that was sticking out of the cage.

"See he's harmless, you dramatic ass." I grab his free hand and bring it down to tough the afro. I sigh heavily when he takes his hand away really quickly. "You're not okay with this are you?" he shakes his head and I pull him around the house more. We go around more places of the house until there was no more to explore and we went outside. I took him to the carve-a-pumpkin and he was calmer then.

"If you were afraid of haunted houses you could've told me I would've understood.

"I wanted to please you and come to something you wanted to do." I look at him and shook my head.

"We're always doing what I want to do. For Halloween we're doing what you want to do."

"Okay fair deal." He nodded and we spent the rest of the night carving pumpkin, laughing, walking through clown mazes, and playing fun little Halloween themed carnival games. This was exactly what I wanted tonight a fun night with my friends and that was just what I got.

Hello again beautiful people I call readers. Here is Chapter 27, you must be wondering, how did she manage to write Chapter 27 so quickly after writing chapter 26, WELL she didn't, she already had Chapter 27 written ever since she had written Chapter 12, so all I had to do was a few minor tweaks and a little light editing later and BOOM Chapter 27. I was a fun one to write from what I remember writing it all those months ago and editing just a few hours ago. I'm keeping this author's note short since Chapter 25 had a really long one.
