Chapter 10

Love starved

May the petals teach you

The art of letting go!

Reyansh entered inside the room,Her emotionless eyes bore into his and again broke the eye  contact standing up leaving from there.

It scared him,her emotionless eyes scared him.

She came back with a towel and gave it to him,but not for once she looked at him.

He took the towel from her and got inside the bathroom for a shower.

Reyansh stood under the steaming shower, the water cascading over his body. The heat couldn't wash away the guilt that clung to him—the weight of his actions, the pain he had inflicted on Aradhya. The truth had shattered his illusions, revealing Neha's betrayal and his own blindness.

As the water pounded against his skin, Reyansh closed his eyes. He replayed the moments—the harsh words, the broken marriage, Aradhya's tearful cries. How had he become this person? A man who hurt the woman, his own wife.

The steam blurred his vision, but the memories remained sharp. Aradhya's vulnerability—the way she had questioned her worth, her existence—haunted him. Neha's face overlapped with Aradhya's—the illusion versus the reality. He had been a fool, chasing a mirage while breaking the one true connection he had.

Reyansh sank to his knees, the water falling down his cheeks. He had to make amends, find redemption. But how? Could he ever undo the damage? Aradhya deserved healing, not more pain.

As the shower continued to pour, Reyansh vowed to change. He would seek forgiveness, unravel the tangled threads of his heart, and become someone worthy of redemption. The water washed away the grime, but it couldn't cleanse his soul. That journey was his alone.

"Aradhya"he called out for her.

She was surprised by how he called her by her name.

She looked at him to continue what he wanted to say.

He doesn't know how to confront?

He sighs and says"nothing"

His weird behaviour confused her but she cared less.

She organized her mattress on the floor to sleep as he had asked her to do so at their first night.

Seeing this made him even more guilty.

He cleared his throat and said"Aradhya you can sleep on bed"

Aardhya looked at him blankly and ignoring his words she made herself comfortable on the floor.

His heart ached  on how much has she changed.

"Aradhya i said something"he said sounding firm.

"Ji "she said monotonously.

Now it hurts him even more. Her voice lacks emotions and softness that it used to held.

"Aradhya—he calls her name wanting to say something,

"I want to sleep.. please"saying this she turned to other side and closed her eyes.

Sighing he left from there.

What else he could do?

When she heard the door closing she turned to other side.

'what has happened to him suddenly?is it some of his manipulative tricks?'

She stood up from the floor going near her table, grabbing her diary and pen.

She sat back on the floor.

Dear diary,

The meeting with Reyansh's girlfriend wasn't so pleasing but she is much better than him.

At least her talks weren't strong enough to hurt me.

His harsh words, the  mental pain was too much that now I feel nothing.Life was already black and white but now it also feels hollow,no purpose to live.

I longed for love and a little care, was it too much to ask for?

After Meeting Neha,I feel like they both are perfect match for each other.

Arrogant,rude and self centred.

She is actually a good match for him.

I have never seen  my grandparents but now I am hating my grandfather for this promise which ruined my life.

It made my life worst than it was already.

Hate isn't the word that can describe how I feel for Reyansh Rajput.

Despite my parents abuse I still had hope in me but he shattered my that little hope too.He is  the monster of my nightmares.

How long is my suffering?

No hope,

Yours aradhya

In the quiet of night, where shadows weep,

Aradhya cradles her sorrow, buried deep.

Her heart, a fragile vessel, cracked and worn,

Bleeds verses of anguish, silently torn.

The moon, a witness to her silent cries,

Paints her pain in silver hues across the skies.

Each star, a memory etched upon her soul,

Whispers secrets of love lost, beyond control.

Her eyes—once vibrant pools of hope—now dim,

Reflect the ache of promises broken, grim.

The wind weaves through her hair, a mournful song,

As if mourning the love that went so wrong.

In the garden, wilted roses bow their heads,

Echoing the ache of love's shattered threads.

Their petals, like Aradhya's dreams, decay,

Fading into dust, forgotten by the day.

She walks the corridors of memory's maze,

Tracing footsteps of love, lost in a haze.

His laughter, once a symphony, now haunts,

A bitter melody that taunts and taunts.

The rain weeps alongside her, tear by tear,

Drowning her spirit, drowning all that's dear.

For Reyansh—the enigma, the tormentor—lies,

A puzzle she can't solve, no matter how she tries.

And so, Aradhya dances with despair,

Her heartache a waltz, a silent prayer.

In the moon's embrace, she weaves her plea,

"Release me from this misery, set me free."

But the night remains indifferent and  cruel.

In the garden of her heart, a barren land,

Aradhya wanders, love's hunger at hand.

Her veins ache for whispers, tender and true,

Yet Reyansh's silence leaves her love starved, blue.

The moon weeps silver tears upon her brow,

As memories dance—a bittersweet vow.

The stars conspire, spelling secrets above,

But Aradhya's constellations lack love.

Her lips, parched petals seeking rain.

Reyansh—the enigma, the tormentor—holds the key,

Yet he guards it fiercely, a puzzle to be free.

Aradhya's heart, a captive bird in flight,

Sings love songs to shadows, lost in the night.

And so she waits, her longing etched in rhyme,

A poetess of pain, weaving stardust and time.

For love, elusive and cruel, remains afar,

Leaving Aradhya love starved—a silent, wounded star.
