Chapter 144 Someone is coming

The moment her lips touched his, Yu Chen slowly closed his eyes. The effect of Luo Xiaolei’s kiss to him this time was unexpected and as always, surprising.

Luo Xiaolei was certain that kissing him wouldn’t be a good idea. She knew that her kiss would just jolt his senses awake, rather than lulling him to sleep. But to her surprise, when she pulled away, the man was already asleep, as if her kiss was some sort of magical sleeping spell that sent him to dreamland in an instant.

Speechless, Luo Xiaolei leaned in to feel his breathing. She was trying to confirm if the panda was really asleep, but it seemed like he really was.

Looking at him, Luo Xiaolei sighed quietly, and then, she smiled. Her eyes focused on the man’s face. He was still as stone and he was just as breathtaking as always. She couldn’t even take her eyes off him.

Hesitantly, Luo Xiaolei inched closer again. She delicately brushed his long and thick dark eyelashes. Her finger started tracing the shape of his perfect nose and then down to his tempting lips.

For an immeasurable period of time, Luo Xiaolei’s eyes didn’t leave his lips. And then, suddenly, she kissed him again. She felt intoxicated. He was really getting more and more irresistible.

When Luo Xiaolei realized what she was doing, she abruptly pulled back. Her face was red like ripe tomato.

’Oh my god! W-what am I doing?’ she gasped, covering her mouth with her palm. ’Oh my god! I... I actually kissed him while he’s asleep? Luo Xiaolei! That’s illegal you know?! How could you steal a kiss from a sleeping maiden?!’

Luo Xiaolei was in utter disbelief that she run towards the bathroom because of embarrassment.

Little did she know that as soon as she closed the bathroom’s door, the sleeping man on the bed moved. He didn’t open his eyes but the corner of his lips lifted in a bright, satisfied smile before he finally succumbed to sleep for real.

That night, Luo Xiaolei spend hours thinking. She looked like she was contemplating about something while staring at the man sleeping soundly beside her. Her eyes were burning with some intense emotions until she too fell asleep embracing him.

The next morning...

Luo Xioalei was busy chatting with Gu Wei on WeChat while she was sitting in the university’s cafeteria. When Gu Wei told her that they were already on their way home, Luo Xiaolei was relieved.

Time went by and Luo Xiaolei’s class was over. As soon as she was inside the car, she sent a message to Gu Wei again, asking if everything was alright.

[You mean no one is watching him right now?!]

After reading Gu Wei’s message, Luo Xiaolei sighed in relief. She couldn’t wait to go home but she still had an important matter to deal with.

"Miss Luo, are we heading to the usual place?" Guan Ye asked as the car accelerated.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"No, not today. We’re heading in this place." She replied showing him an address.

Upon seeing it, Guan Ye quietly nodded. He didn’t ask anything even though he was curious and had been wondering all this time what was it that Luo Xiaolei was doing. Because of Yu Chen’s order, Guan Ye didn’t dare to investigate nor ask about anything so until now, he had no clue at all about what Luo Xiaolei was dealing with.

Finally, they had arrived at their destination. Luo Xiaolei stepped out of the car and entered a certain building.

The curious Guan Ye also stepped out. He leaned his back on the car as he looked at the building where Luo Xiaolei had entered.

"Star Castle Entertainment?" Guan Ye mumbled as he read the name of the building. "Miss Luo, what are you up to?" he could only ask.

Meanwhile in Scarlet Hill...

"Daddy, is it okay for you to move your hand? I think it’s better if you let me feed you."

Gu Wei who was standing by the door snapped towards the family of three in the dining table as soon as he heard Little Rui’s voice. His eyes immediately fell towards the man in the middle and he pressed his lips tight in anticipation as he waited for Yu Chen’s reaction.

"I’m fine Little Rui. There’s nothing to worry about."

"But mommy said you must not move too much just yet. And we promised her that we will do our best to help you and take care of you."

Yu Chen was rendered speechless. He reached out his hand and ruffled the boy’s hair as he smiled. "You think your daddy is weak?" he asked and the boy immediately shook his head.

"Good. I am recovering very fast and it’s okay for me to move now so don’t worry, understand?"

"O-okay. But if you need something, please let us know. We can’t face mommy if we fail our duty to watch over you." Rui replied and Yu Chen could only sigh. He finally realize that the only way to stop these little buns from worrying was to recover as fast as he could.

After their dinner, the three were finally back in their room.

Yu Chen was on the bed, leaning on the headboard while reading some documents. The two little buns were quietly reading as well. Little Ran was right beside Yu Chen while Rui was on the couch, reading their own chosen books.

The three were so quiet and their concentration was extreme. The two kids were so focused that their demeanor was almost the same as Yu Chen’s.

The room was so quiet that the only thing that could be heard at that moment was the sound of a page being turned, and the three of them remained in that state for a long time until suddenly, they heard a knock on the door.

Simultaneously, the three raised their heads. Their eyes immediately sparkled, obviously because they were certain that the woman they were waiting for was finally home.

However, to their dismay, Gu Wei was the one who appeared.

"What is it?" Yu Chen’s voice was disappointed.

"Uhm... boss... someone is coming." Gu Wei said and Yu Chen’s brows creased. "The old master is here. He’ll be here in five minutes."
