Chapter 136 Banned

As the monitor started going erratically wild again, the door opened a crack.

Gu Wei slowly peeked through the door but as soon as he heard the noise, he immediately stormed in with wide eyes. But before he could start to panic, he was frozen in place.

He could see what was happening right before his eyes. His boss was lying on the bed and was being currently kissed by Luo Xiaolei while the monitor was going berserk! Suddenly, he didn’t know what to do. He was worried to death yet at the same time, he didn’t want to interrupt the couple’s steamy moment.

However, when Gu Wei glanced at the beeping monitor that just kept on getting wilder, he started to sweat. He quickly turned and ran out of the room.

When he saw Yang Jin, still talking to a doctor outside, Gu Wei strode towards him and dragged the man towards Yu Chen’s room. Yang Jin of course protested but Gu Wei didn’t speak and just dragged the doctor inside, almost in a frantic way.

"Yang Jin, do something! Our boss will die at this rate!!" Gu Wei was gripping the doctor’s coat anxiously. He looked like he was about to cry as his eyes kept darting between the doctor beside him and the beeping monitor.

But Yang Jin simply smiled. "Shhh... don’t disturb them." He said, throwing him a smirk before he turned to leave.

"Wait!!" Gu Wei grabbed him. "How could you just leave just like that? Can’t you see that boss is... boss will die because of heart attack at this rate! Can’t you see how dangerous it is?"

"Stop being a worrywart Weiwei. You think Yu Chen would let something like this kill him?"

"He would, I’m telling you! You know he’s willing to risk his life for his Luo Xiaolei!"

"Haha! You have a point. But, we can’t do anything about that if..."

"Get serious here, damn it! Are you really a doctor?!"

Yang Jin just grinned again. He was obviously enjoying the sight of Gu Wei losing it because of worry. "If something happens to him, I’ll bury you alive, you hear me?!!"

"Hey, why me? I’m not the one killing him right now. It’s our lady boss Gu Wei, our lady boss."

"That’s why I’m telling you to do something!!"

While Gu Wei and Yang Jin were in the middle of their whispering argument, something stunned them to the extreme.

The beeping suddenly stopped altogether, causing their heads to immediately snap towards Yu Chen. Their eyes circled in horror.

"Oh my god! He’s dying!!!" Gu Wei gasped and then, like ninjas, they both leapt towards Yu Chen’s bed.

In that moment, Luo Xiaolei already pulled back. She jolted to a halt, aghast at the sound she was hearing. She felt as if her heart also stopped beating.

Time seemed to have stood still and she didn’t even notice that Yang Jin and Gu Wei were already beside her. But gladly, before Yang Jin could make any move, the monitor reported the restarting of Yu Chen’s heart.

Luo Xioalei finally breathed as she sunk unsteadily to the floor. Gu Wei immediately fell on his knees while Yang Jin just stood there, utterly speechless.

When Luo Xiaolei recovered from the shock, she slowly stood up, pressing her lips tight as she glared at the man lying on the bed, looking at her.

"You... you’re such a big bad... bad panda!" she sounded upset, raising her hands towards his face to pinch his cheeks. But she stopped midway and buried her face in her palms instead.

Her reaction was something Yu Chen didn’t expect. He didn’t think that this would end up upsetting her.

"I’m sorry." Yu Chen was immediately repentant. He would never regret making her kiss him but, he wouldn’t like making her upset.

Hearing him, Luo Xiaolei slowly put down her hands, and then she pursed her lips. "No more kisses from now on. You will focus on your recovery." She sounded serious and stern as she said it and Yu Chen immediately looked like he just received the harshest punishment in his life.

"She’s right. You should focus on your recovery for now." Yang Jin agreed and Luo Xiaolei finally noticed the presence of two men next to her.

Luo Xiaolei gasped and the man smiled at her. As Yang Jin started checking all the tubes and wires connected on Yu Chen, Luo Xiaolei took a step back.

When another doctor entered, Luo Xiaolei excused herself and went to the rest room. Afterwards, she waited outside until the doctors walked out of Yu Chen’s room.

"Dr. Yang." Luo Xiaolei approached the young doctor as soon as she saw him.

"Yes, Miss." Yang Jin gently smiled.

In this past two days, while Luo Xiaolei was waiting for Yu Chen to wake up, she had been asking Yang Jin a lot about Yu Chen’s health. And she was very glad because the doctor was very willing to tell her everything. The two of them had been chatting a lot about Yu Chen’s condition that Luo Xiaolei now found Yang Jin as someone very easy to talk with.

"It’s alright, Miss. Now that he’s awake, all you have to do is make sure he won’t be moving too much. Since he couldn’t feel any pain, it’s impossible for him to tell if something is wrong in his body so we need to watch him close." Yang Jin explained and Luo Xiaolei nodded.

"I understand. Don’t worry, I won’t let him get hurt. I’ll make sure to restrain him." She looked determined, even clenching her fist tight which mused the doctor before her.

"Please don’t restrain him too much Miss. He is already sulking because of your declaration a while ago. Go easy on him, okay?" he grinned at her before he finally left.

Inside the room, Gu Wei was trying to cheer up his unwell big boss who was also in a gloomy state.

"Boss, cheer up. Don’t be sad because kisses are banned. You heard her, right? She said ’FOR NOW’! meaning... once you’re recovered, you two can kiss her all you want again! While you’re still recovering, you can still do some intimate things aside from kisses, no? Kisses are the only thing she banned after all."

Upon hearing Gu Wei’s statement, the grey clouds above Yu Chen’s head were blown away by a blissful wind. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Gu Wei before a faint smile carved on his dreamy face.

Yu Chen: "That’s right, there’s still a lot of thing I could do aside from kisses."
