Chapter 128 If you fall, you fall

Yu Chen’s sudden boldness stunned Luo Xiaolei to the extreme. She didn’t see this coming and she didn’t even have the time to think about whether he really wouldn’t faint anymore.

Luo Xiaolei could feel the scorching heat as his lips grazed on hers. It was simply mind blowing and she didn’t know why she was reacting exaggeratedly despite it being just a simple tongue-less kiss. Her mind was being lit with something inexplicable, her heart was beating wild as his lips kept on lightly crashing onto hers.

Unexpectedly, she was lost in time, and before she knew it, she found herself kissing him back. This kiss was nothing like the kisses they shared before, or more like, nothing like the kisses she had initiated. Whenever she kissed him, although she was of course very affected, her mind would always be still the one in charge. But this time, it was different. It was like she could no longer think straight and she felt like she wants more of him.

However, before their kiss could even go deeper, Yu Chen pulled his mouth away from hers. Luo Xiaolei opened her eyes and their eyes met. It was a bit dark to see Yu Chen’s complexion but he was breathing rapidly and his eyes as he gazed at her were glimmering and simply breathtaking.

Luo Xiaolei just stared back at him, dazed, when Yu Chen moved again, causing Luo Xiaolei to subconsciously close her eyes again.

But the kiss didn’t come. Instead, she heard his velvety voice, causing her to immediately open her eyes as her face flushed red.

"Good bye, I’ll be back very soon." He said and before Luo Xiaolei could react, the man in a panda jacket embraced her tight and then kissed her forehead before abruptly turning back and left. He was obviously in a haste.

Luo Xiaolei looked stunned and her lips parted as she watched him entered his car. But no word came out of her mouth until the car started moving away and eventually disappeared from her eyes.

At a certain airport in Country C’s capital...

"Mr. Yu is now on his way to Central City’s Airport." Zaki was listening to his men’s report. He looked pleasured and relieved by the report he heard.

"Okay, let’s go." He ordered and he entered a luxurious private jet. His wife, Hinari, was already waiting for him inside the elegant cabin.

Zaki walked straight towards his beloved wife and upon sitting beside her, he started cuddling her like a big puppy hungry for his owner’s warmth and attention. But it looked like the wife knew exactly what his husband want and she lovingly allowed him to do whatever he wanted until eventually, the two lovey dovey couple started talking about a certain pair they both were very interested about.

"My wife, why did you suggest that? Would you please enlighten me?" Zaki started, still cuddling his wife.

"Actually I was chatting with Xialoei occasionally on phone and I found something." Hinari started and Zaki tilted his head as he looked at her, curiously waiting for what she would say next. "Xiaolei seemed to be afraid of something. I had a feeling that she’s scared to fall in love."

"Huh? She’s scared? Are you saying that our future lil sis-in-law is not in love with Yu Chen yet?" Zaki was surprised. He looked like he didn’t expect the words that his wife just revealed.

"Hmm... I personally think that she’s already in love with him. I’m 90% sure."

"Oh, but you just said that she’s scared to fall in love."

"My love... no matter how scared you are of falling, if you fall, you fall, that’s love. You really can’t do anything about it and nothing can stop it." She grinned, looking at Zaki with meaningful gazes as if she was sighting an example in his eyes.

Of course, Zaki seemed to have quickly understood what his wife meant and he buried his face on her bosom.

"I understand now. So what’s the reason why you suggested Yu Chen to leave her for a while?"

"Because Yu Chen wanted to know if his wife was really trying to avoid him. I think he was right. Xiaolei might have already noticed her feelings and she was trying to avoid him because she was afraid to fall for him. I think she still didn’t realize that she already fell. This is of course based on my observation and collected data but I am confident that this was the reason behind Yu Chen’s uneasiness."

"Sigh... so Yu Chen’s love story might be more complicated than Sei’s huh. I wonder why Xiaolei is not willing to fall for him."

"Maybe, something happened to Xiaolei in the past. I noticed that she seemed very mature despite her age. And I had this feeling that she was hiding lots of secrets and that she had experienced something even I couldn’t imagine. Of course, I’m not suspecting her or anything, I understand that everyone had a past they wanted no one to know and I really liked her as a person. But I wanted her to open up, not to me or anyone else, but at least to Yu Chen. Because somehow... she reminded me of you when you were keeping everything to yourself and was avoiding me and trying to push me away."

As those words left Hinari’s mouth, Zaki bit his lips and he embraced her even tighter.

"That was... my biggest mistake." Zaki admitted in a soft voice and Hinari smiled as she caressed his hair.

"Hehe. I think it wasn’t that a big mistake though. Because I enjoyed chasing you." They both chuckled. "But I can’t treat their story like ours because theirs is completely different and I really think that Xiaolei is the one for Yu Chen so I’m going to support them the best way I could."

"So, making them apart is the best move? Shouldn’t we make them closer if we want them to end being together?"

"There’s a reason why they said that distancing yourself will make you realize a lot. I want Xiaolei to realize her feelings towards Yu Chen. But actually, this is not just for Xiaolei, this is also for Yu Chen. Because I think he was holding back too much. As if he too was scared of something. This wasn’t because of his inexperience at all. I think there’s much heavier reason behind it and he too is definitely hiding something. I want to make him burst out and lose control to the point that whatever it is that is holding him back would no longer stop him from advancing."

"Oh, I see... as expected with my wife. I wonder if this will make that stone burst though."

"Well, we can’t be sure but this is worth a try."

"Haha, that’s right. But even now, I’m actually imagining him going crazy because of missing his fiancée to the extreme. Fufu."
