Chapter 6

what?

WRONG NUMBER, But Thanks For Calling?

Peter stood in shock. "Oh, thankyou sir." Tony nodded and left off with Pepper.

Peter turned to Lilac, "thankyou so so much. I really wanted this internship." Flash walked away. Guess he didnt care too much.

Lilac shrugged and began to walk away. "Dont mention it." She threw a hand in the air and walked down the street. Peter stood there.

He got out his phone.

Peter chuckled at that text, just as he reached his apartment. But then thought, was there anything I had to do?

"Hey Karen?" Peter asked before he opened the door. "Yes, peter?"

"Was there anything I had to do today?" He asked.

A minute quickly passed. "Well, there was the house break in."

Peter sighed and cringed. He had forgotten about that. "But, I checked and the police took care of it." Karen said.

Peter thought about that and went to his apartment. "Probably for the best. Can't risk getting caught by SHEILD." Peter said.

Time flew and Peter layed on his bed. When he suddenly realised. "Omg." He shot up. Looking at his now working and set alarm clock, he saw it was 9:21pm. "I have an internship with mr. Stark." He said outloud.

Peter did little kicks in the air of joy, when his phone rang.

Peter lunged to grab it, and of course, karen picked up. "Hello, this is-" he began to say but was cut off.

"Oh thank God. Kid I thought you were dead."

Peter stopped for a second. then remembered he never returned his message buddies text. "Oh, hello! Sorry I forgot to message you."

"Yeah, I thought you were getting beat up or somthing."

Peter picked up a loose sock and put it away. "What's with you always assuming I'm In danger? I'm fine." He asked.

The man scoffed on the other side. "Well, based on our last few calls can you blame me for getting anxious?"

Peter smiled to himself. "Aww, you were worried about me."

"What?..no. look, I need to get off and do work."

Peter turned when he heard a crash coming from outside. He saw a car bumbed into a street light. "Yeah, me too." He said. Peter raced so grab his suit.

"Really? Work at 9:30?"

Peter changed into the suit. "Oh, yeah uh for school." Peter opened his window. Luckily, with it being nighttime when he does patrol, no one notices that spiderman always goes out of the same window every single time. "Well, alright. Dont get into a street fight." And on that note, he hung up.

Peter threw his phone on the his bed and climbed through the window. The cold air wrapping around him, even though he was only climbing down the apartment wall.

Peter sighed, he loved patrol. How hard was it going to be with a billion dollar initiative on his back?

Now on the ground, peter saw the car with...no one in it. That was weird. Weird, but good. Maybe the person wasnt hurt? Peter called the police on a pay phone using his distressed civilian voice.

Moments later, he turned around and saw somone across the street. Without sounding stuck, peter wondered if it was a fan. Weirdly enough, he has a lot of fans and all the creepy ones try and track him down on the streets. Somtimes they even fake incidents to see him.

That made Peter think...

He looked back at the car and investigated it. The front lights were completely out, the front wind screen was shattered and a the drivers side door wouldn't have been able to open. Peter looked closer and the passenger side door was locked from the inside, even though the window was up.

That's odd, peter thought. He looked back to the person and noticed they hadnt gotten closer. "Hey," peter started. The person was too far away for Peter to see who it was, but he knew they were staring right at them.

"This your car?" He asked pointing at the damaged car. The figure didnt move. He looked through his window and noticed the time. Maybe he should try getting to school on time for once.

He turned back to the person, but they were gone. Red and blue lights were glowing from the distance, so Peter had to leave. He shot a web, looked around, and quickly climbed to his apartment, luckily not being spotted.

He sat back down on his bed and wondered.  That was really weird.

"Hey man." Ned said as Peter walked through the school doors.

Peter turned his phone off and looked up. "Oh, hey." He smiled. Ned and him walked to their lockers to grab stuff for homeroom. "You're actually here on time." Ned teased.

Peter grabbed his books and nodded. "Yep. Set up my alarm nice and early."

"Did your uncle help you?" Somone said. Peter turned around and saw Lilac. "What?" He asked. Lilac giggled and she, ned and Peter began walking to homeroom. "Your uncle. Did he help you with your alarm?"

Peter stopped and looked at Ned. "Uh, yeah." Peter was a total #baddie when it came to being spiderman, but when he didnt have a mask on to the outside world, he felt like he couldnt say anything.

But today, things had just gotten too weird. Peter pulled lilac aside and nodded Ned away. Lilac looked intrigued. "Why do you wanna know so much about my uncle?" He asked. Lilac looked around.

She leaned in more. "I seem to know more about him than you do." She whispered. Peter opened his mouth, but lilac turned around and began walking away. She threw peace signs in the air and walked right out of the school. Then, the bell rang.

As everyone rushed to class, peter felt everyone looking past him. Like he was invisible. He felt more lonely and confused than ever.
