WRONG NUMBER, But Thanks For Calling?
"And what's that?" Steve asked tony about the new mission he announced. "Spider man didnt agree to meet up now." Tony said.
Clint gave nat a stare that screamed, knew it.
"But," tony eyed off Clint. "He said we could try later. I say we hang down town, look like civilians and wait until we see spidey save somone and you know, talk to him before he can leave." Tony suggested.
Nat sighed. "You know, he didnt seem too eager to talk to us before, I don't think he will be after we pin him down." Nat said.
"I think Tony's right, actually." Bruce stepped forward. He turned to nat. "Sorry."
Nat smiled. "Go ahead." She said.
Bruce continued. "Our upcoming mission is dangerous. We need to get to the bottom of it before it actually happens. We need him. Now." He said.
Everyone stared around and slowly but surely, they all nodded.
It was a plan.
âââ
But someone ruined his plan.
"Peter?" Somone said. Peter turned around to see the one and only. "Lilac. Hey." He said.
The two decided to walk down town and have somthing to eat. "What brings you down town?" Lilac asked.
Peter stuttered. "The sun." He blurted out. Lilac gave a look. "The sun?" She repeated.
Peter regained confidence. "Yeah. Why, do you have a problem with the sun?" He asked.
Lilac laughed. "Anyway," peter said. They grabbed something to drink and sat outside on chairs. "What brings you downtown?" Peter asked.
Lilac leaned in. "I've heard spiderman was out." She said.
Peter was surprised, to say at the least. "You...like spiderman?" He asked.
Lilac moved back. "Cant get enough. That comic I read; so good." She said.
Peter smiled internally. "Yeah, spiderman's okay."
They continued to talk about random stuff, and they brought up dreams about the future, they're favorite food, school stuff, what celebrities they'd make out with, what their family was like. Although, like normal, peter had to lie for most.
In the distance, tony was walking with the avengers, all looking down and not talking, trying not to attract attention. He was thinking about Peter. His mystery messenger and intern.
Why did he feel so...bad about it? It wasnt like it was illegal, he just didnt feel right about knowing Peter in a way that Peter didnt know he knew. It was all so confusing.
But then tony remembered somthing. They're text. Peter doesnt...parental figures? And he lied for most of the interview?
Tony thought about it. The two never really talked about much, but it sounded like Peter lived happily with his uncle because his family was on a business trip.
But now he knew Peter for who he really was, he felt bad. Like it was really sad for Peter to have to lie about It all.
And now tony had just pushed away Peter? Tony cringed at himself. The next time I see him, I need to apologize. Tony said.
But after he said that, guess who he saw.
âââ
Peter and lilac stopped eating and stood up. "What should we do?" Lilac asked. Peter looked at the time. 4:00. He obviously didnt have to get home for anyone. "Uh, anything. I'm good with anything." He said.
Lilac looked around. "Oh crap, sorry Peter but thats my mum right there." She pointed at a car across the road. "We should catch up again." She said, pulling peter in for a hug. Lilac left, and Peter didn't know what to do.
He always felt stuck. Like he was waiting for him to need to do somthing. He never wanted to. His life had just become an endless loop of doing stuff for others. But that wasnt necessarily a bad thing, it was rather good. It made Peter happy. But now whenever he was alone, he had no one to make happy.
Meaning he had nothing to do.
Peter took out his phone but nope. No new messages. He gave in, and decided to reach out first.
â¢â¢â¢

My boss hates me? Think I did somthing
But I dont know what

God I hate it
Why do I keep getting
Lonely?
And are you okay? You haven't messaged all day
â¢â¢â¢
Then, his thoughts were interrupted by flash. "Hey." He grinned.
Peter turned around to leave, and saw tony.
"Isn't that intern?" Nat asked as he saw Peter." Tony stopped thinking and saw Peter looking nervously at him.
"Yeah, it is." Tony replied slowly.
Peter looked back at flash. "Mr stark is right there. Don't do anything, flash." Peter said.
Flash laughed and tugged on Peter's ear. "Yeah, whats he going to do, fire me again?" Flash said.
He glanced at lilacs car to the side. "That your new girlfriend?" He asked.
Peter looked at flash. "No of course not." Leter pulled away from flash, trying to get his ear back.
"Why'd you make me look stupid in front of iron man?" Flash grabbed onto Peter's shirt.
"You did that all by yourself." Peter responded, bracing himself to get punched.
Flash didnt like that response, and pulled his other arm back. He let it rip, and punched peter straight in the face.
Nat and everyone else flinched back. "Woah." She said.
Tony recognized flash. "Not this dick again." Tony muttered. He started jogging.
"Think that was funny?" Flash brought his arm back again. Peter didn't answer, his face was burning with pain. In all honesty, if Peter punched flash, he would be too scared to even look in Peter's direction.
But he wouldn't, because he wouldn't physically be able to after being put into a coma or being paralyzed.
Anyway.
Flash punched peter again, this time in the throat. Peter gabled for air. He grabbed Flash's arms, but he didnt drop peter. One swift movement, and flash punched peter again.
He pushed peter down on the ground, brought back his leg, ready to kick, but was stopped.
Tony grabbed flash by the arm and dragged him away, throwing him to the ground. "You stay away." He ordered. Flash rubbed his wrist from where tony grabbed him. "I'm going to sue you!" Flash complained.
"Go for it. I couldn't care less about losing 10 grand on some idiot like you." Tony said. Flash furrowed his eyebrows and got up, walking away.
Tony turned around to Peter, still on the ground. He pulled Peter up and saw him on the chair. "You a'right?" Tony asked, obviously concerned.
It took him a second to realise what had happened, but Peter finally noticed that tony was there. "Oh. Hey." He said with a tiny smile.
Tony smiled back, feeling guilty about before. "Yeah, I'm okay." He said.
Tony rolled his eyes. "You're already bruised. I'm gonna grab ice." Tony ran into the cafe.
By then, the avengers had caught up.
Nat looked at Peter. "You re one tough teenager." She said.
Peter gave a shy smile. "Thanks. I'm Peter." He said.
"Oh, we know. Tony made us meet you for that stupid coffee thing." She said.
Peter froze. "What Coffee thing?" He asked.
"You know, the coffee test. You made tony coffee on your first day." Clint explained.
"That was a test??" Peter asked.
Clint laughed. "Yeah. you were the only person ever to pass. So congrats." He finished.
Peter smiled. "Cool."
Clint raised an eyebrow. "Have we met before?" He asked. Tony ran back out with some ice.
Peter squirmed. "No." He replied. Clint looked up. "Really? You sound...so farmilia?"
He said.
Peter placed the ice to his eye. "No, dont think so." He said.
Clint thought quietly. "Huh."
Peter turned to tony. "Why are you here?" He asked.
Tony remembered why he was down, and looked around. "Oh, just looking for somone."Â He said. Peter hung his head.
"Actually, you guys head up. I'm going to make sure Pete's okay." Tony said. Peter was confused, but touched.
"Okay. We'll see you soon then." They all said goodbye. Nat looked at peter, "get better." She smiled.
They all left, and Tony sighed. Peter was one of the very few people that heard this often.
"Peter," Tony sighed. "I'm sorry."
