Chapter 8 -8-

The Deadly Alpha

The crisp air of the evening wiped my worries away, I stood in the balcony, looking around warily at

the dead wolves that were scattered in the area. He was a deadly Alpha and continued to be

towards the fighters as he battled the best warrior.

A sense of belonging tugged hard on my chest as I played with the bracelet mom gave me as a

previous birthday gift when I turned seventeen. I was nothing without them and I had to make

whoever made this fire pay for that cruel murderous crime. I wasn't going down at all, I was going

to be as unkind as whoever did this to me.

Just admit it, you want him to kiss you. Lace irritated me with her constant thoughts about our

mate.

Did you not remember him putting us into the room where ghosts were? I reprimanded her. I felt

her bugging me so I tuned her out. I was feeling weak without the mating mark. I had to hold it

together for the sake of my dignity and for what he had done to me.

"Where is she? Where is this bitch?" She wolf's growl was what angered me. I tried to enjoy my

peace and she interrupted it.

"I-I don't know but calm down." I could hear Kayla's lie and it set me apart in more anguish. I had

enough of this pack.

I opened the door where the guard's back was in my view, I dug my claws and scratched him

enough to faint slightly.

"What?" I growled and the whole mansion rattled in fear, my eyes darkened to black and the girl

shrank back slightly, it was the same girl who thought she was Luna. Even the auburn-haired girl

remained wide-eyed at my fury.

"You! I'm going to make you wish you never met the Alpha.” She wanted to leap on me and I was

ready until the Alpha appeared, making us all stand in silence.

"Enough!" He ordered, "you both are acting like kids."

What stung more was the fact that he degraded me, the Luna, in front of a weak pack member.

They all had no respect and the fact that it came out of my mate's voice dug the knife completely

inside of me.

With the dignity I had left, I turned my back on them both and went to my room, the tears rushing

down my cheeks. I threw a bag on the bed and collected what Kayla had given me along with the

photos of my family. With enough energy, I smashed the bolts on the window because I was on top

of the rage meter and I was ready to kill anyone who stood in my way.

"You're going to leave me." He said solemnly and I turned around for a moment, leaving the packed

bag beside me.

His eyes held mixed emotions, mostly was a vulnerability. I stood, gaping at him, he had such nerve

for telling me that after the shit he had done to me in my first stay.

"Yes, I am leaving you," My breath hitched as I sobbed my words out, "I, Destalia Morgane, reject-"

He clamped a hard hand on my trembling lips and neared mine, his other hand around my waist.

"Don't say it like she did." His voice cracked with emotions and I wiped my tears, he drew me closer,

my head on his chest and his arms softly embracing me.

"Who did?" I asked warily, could there be something big he hid from me?

"Nothing, it was a reflex, I don't want you to reject me.” He sighed, his breath mingling with mine as

he leaned down and looked into my eyes.

"You have done horrible things to me." My stupid hormones were all over the place when my tears

welcomed me again, his lips against my smooth cheeks stopping them from getting to my lips.

"I know." He sighed, his dark ocean eyes stared into mine while the tension swirled around us.

"But why? What have I ever done to you and to this pack?" He tightened his arms around me.

"Give them time and they will accept you and for me, I just have heavy baggage.” He explained

shortly, his pained expression told he didn't want to talk about it and I wasn't up to wait, his features

seemed so familiar.

"Why did you put me in that room?" I had so many questions to ask and I needed the answer.

Sensing my desperation to know, he told me.

"Desi, it's a vision room, it's not actual ghosts and it's punishment for trying to run away from me." I

felt even more agitated at that. Though the flutter in my chest to his nickname had a different

opinion.

"I only ran away because you left me no choice, you acted like an asshole,” his eyes darkened at

that, "and you didn't treat me like I was your mate, just like what happened earlier with that girl.” I

expressed with disgust on my face.

"Don't talk about her like that." He got furious and I was surprised so I just turned with the bag in

my hand but his arms wouldn't let me move out to the window.

"I will not let you go." The power of that sentence overwhelmed me, I had to remain calm and

collected. He kissed my neck, I knew he was stalling me and doing that just to continue torturing me

and my wolf.

"Stop it, I'm not an idiot,” I growled at him and his breath hitched, nobody defied an Alpha with a

growl and I seemed to do so. He clutched me and shoved hard to the bed where it dipped at my

weight, he got on top of me.

"I am your Alpha, you will respect me.” He yelled at my face and I flinched.

"What? Are you going to send me to that room again? Disrespect me in front of a pack member or

better yet, you're going to torture me by whatever you have in mind?" I smiled devilishly up at him

and he grew even madder.

"Nobody gets away with it." He bit my lower lip where the blood came out and sucked it to make

the mate bond closer by mixing our blood. He continued to sniff my neck until he found a spot and

wanted to mark me.

"No, you won't dare.” With my wolf ability, I kicked him to the door and went out of the window

fastly running and shifting mid-air.

The trees shook with the rage the Alpha felt and chased me with his guards. Luckily, I outran them

in a flash and crept into another territory where a girl stood at the Wildcrest pack and invited me in

her pack house because she didn't want her Alpha to see me or suspect. She told the guard to send

a message to the Alpha that the neighboring pack guest came which was me, they nodded and

inspected me, seeing that I was harmless, they left.

"Oh my god." She gasped at the information I told her about me being Luna and the amount of

hate I got, along with the troubles that Alpha had caused me. "No mate should go to the vision

room, it was fatal and brought nightmares for a month.” Great. No sleep for me because the Alpha

decided to be a dickhead.
