Chapter 34 -33-

Melissa was an adorable doll looking girl, she was blonde with cherry colored lips and in a white

dress, she was a five-year-old, I could guess from her face and height.

"Melissa, there you are!" The woman ran to her and bowed her head at me, I chuckled softly as we

shook hands next, Kaden was held in my other arm. I was in a pink casual dress that had a bowtie

on the waistline. My hair was also curled from the shower after keeping it to be swept by the cool

morning air.

The woman stared at Kaden and my alert senses became tingling, she suddenly cried and went

away with her daughter. I stood with a worried face when that woman that seemed in her thirties

with dark brown waves carry the scared daughter away. I managed to run with my black flats in my

wolf's speed as Kaden laughed at the wind that prickled his face.

"Hey!" I screamed at her as she collapsed on the forest and the little girl ran away from her to me.

"Luna, she was trying to steal your baby." The little girl frantically said as the mother sped up and

choked her, right in front of me.

"Stop that." With one hand, I clawed her away as the girl tried to breath from the strong chokehold

her mother had. What I didn't understand was the girl's statement, what did she mean about Kaden

being stolen? Like an overprotective mother, I was merciless when my grey normal eyes turned

yellowish with the curse. I could summon it whenever I wanted, sometimes it would go

uncontrolled.

"What do you want with my son?" I hissed as the mother sobbed on the ground and the little girl

hid behind me.

"That baby would die with your curse with you, you have a very dark ending.” The woman's body

trembled as she pointed at my baby.

"How dare you? You have no business interfering and I am not cursed.” I snapped.

"My husband was cursed by the Moon Goddess too.” That made me freeze in my spot as I stared

into the scared eyes of the woman, she was truthful, I could see it in her eyes but an angel could be

a devil in disguise and I grew skeptic.

"Prove it," I demanded in my Luna tone, she crawled and held up a crumpled picture from her

handbag, showing it to me.

I gasped when my eyes widened at the man that begged Moon Goddess as the curse made him

bleed, it was an intense picture, anyone could tell that he tried to stay alive but couldn't and he saw

the Moon Goddess, it was the same thing I experienced.

"But-but how?" I stammered incredulously.

"There is no escape from your fate, you'll be killed," She rushed, "I wanted Kaden to protect him."

That made my blood boil when the thought of that woman attempting to kidnap my baby, I

wouldn't allow her even if I died, he belonged with his father and certainly not in the clutches of this

crazed woman.

"Get out of my sight and don't show me your face again.” I sneered as she got the memo and held

her daughter from behind me, both running wildly and away from me.

The forest that had tall trees and woody aroma was attractive and lulled my anger only for a little

while, didn't the pack members learn their lesson already?

My mind went to Alpha and I envisioned him in his office where he made treaties with other packs

and dominated more lands for us, I smiled when his thoughts entered mine.

I had to find something to heal that curse that Destalia has.

I miss her scent so much.

Stop being a pussy and get back to work.

I laughed at his thoughts as it whirled around mine when he kept his mind link open.

Damn, the Alpha really digs you. Lace stated the obvious and with a wide smile, I was content for

now at least.

Walking back home with a fussy Kaden once again, I got in and breastfed Kaden, burping him a

while after. I touched the frame that was situated on the nightstand beside me, I knew that Alpha

Raden did it and acted like a hero when he rescued me but he wanted to keep me alive so I got

tortured painfully and enough to watch them die, the frame where it had my family was enchanting,

we were in the garden posing in front of our house.

Tears escaped my eyes when memory lane hit me hard again, I was in too deep but I was homesick

without them, I wanted to feel them, touch them and I got my wish.

I would meet them up there when the curse decided on making me die. I was very self-conscious

about the hard truth that I had to deal with, it was blissful when my mate wanted to find anything

but I already accepted it because a curse would always stay a curse, there weren't any ties that

broke this curse.

"Why are you crying?” Feeling it from our mate bond, the Alpha came and kneeled between my legs

as he wiped my tears, I laid Kaden beside me on the bed and stroked Alpha's face.

"I just miss them a lot," I confessed and choked on my words.

"You do know that we are going to find a way to keep you and our son alive because I would never

lose you, not like I lost my first mate, I have no purpose in life without you both.” With that, he

ended his speech with a chaste kiss on my lips.
