Chapter 13- I Will Never Do Such A Thing

Hanging With The Bad Boys (Edited)

After school, Brandon and I chatted briefly before I headed home with Justin.

He said, "I'll pick you up at 7:00 PM." I replied, "I can drive myself; I don't plan on drinking."

He responded, "Well, if the others do, carry me home with you." I sighed and got out of the car.

I hadn't seen my mom in six months. I unlocked the door and walked inside, knowing it would be a long evening. I reheated some leftovers, grabbed three sodas, and headed to the theater room.

An hour later, I heard the doorbell ring from upstairs. I paused the movie and went to open the door.

There stood the boys, loaded with drinks, junk food, and beers. Jordan said, "Our house isn't big enough, so we're relocating it."

"What?"

I asked, "No way, what happened to Justin's?"

Justin explained, "My dad is home tonight with mom, so I can't have the party there. Kyle's house is out of the question, and Carlos, you already know Luke, so that leaves us with you."

I sighed, "Rules: no one is allowed in the theater room, and upstairs is off-limits, got it?"

Jacob smiled, and I let the guys in. "There's a mini bar by the pool."

I needed to hide all my junk snacks from the boys and planned to sneak them into the theater room.

Luke said, "I want to see Stephanie's face when she learns your house is bigger than hers." I chuckled.

While I continued watching my movie, the guys prepared upstairs.

Carlos, who was down here with me, said, "I can't believe you actually let us have the party here."

I shrugged and ate popcorn while the best part of the movie played.

Then I got a text from Brandon.

Brandy: The party was relocated, you know where it is?

Me: Yeah, it's at my house.

Brandy: Cool, see you later.

I texted him for a while, then went back to the movie. Carlos was texting too, likely giving people the heads-up about the party. With beer, a pool, teens, and music, everyone would come.

Carlos smiled, "I can't wait to tell everyone this is your house and you're the daughter of the biggest business owner." I nodded.

*****

I was wearing a pink bikini with blue dots, a short white dress, and my hair in a bun. Sitting on my bed, I checked the time: 7:05 PM, and people were starting to arrive.

I locked the doors to keep everything safe. I got a text from Brandon saying he was on the front lawn. Music blared downstairs, and thankfully, my neighbors were out for the weekend.

I walked downstairs to find the boys. Jordan was already drinking with a girl at his side, and I just shook my head.

In the kitchen, people were making out, and Stephanie was drinking from a bottle, wearing a mini skirt and a blue bikini top that barely contained her.

Luke came up to me, "This party is off the hook. See you later, Anne." Before I could protest, he vanished into the crowd.

I stepped outside by the pool, where many girls were, and Justin and Jacob were drinking beer and chatting while girls stripped down to their bikinis.

I approached the boys, and Jacob handed me a cup with a red liquid.

I frowned and smelled it. Jacob said, "It's fruit punch. I made a bowl just for you because I know you don't drink."

I teased, "How can I trust you? You might have put something in it." Justin smirked.

Jacob replied, "I would never do that. I'll kill anyone who hurts you." I blushed.

I took the cup and sipped; it tasted just like fruit punch. "You survive," I said, and Jacob smiled. "For now."

I walked back inside just in time to see jocks sharing pizza. I grabbed a slice and joined the crowd, stuffing pizza in my mouth and sipping my fruit punch.

I wiggled through people to get to the front door. As I opened it, I saw Brandon smiling at me.

He whispered, "Let's go for a drive, maybe hang out at the beach too." I turned around and noticed no one was paying attention. I took his hand, finished my fruit punch, and tossed the cup aside.

We walked down the stairs to where Brandon's vehicle was parked.

He asked, "So the guys moved the party to your house?" I nodded.

He opened the door for me, and I remembered I left my phone in my bedroom.

Brandon got in the driver's seat and buckled up.

He said, "Next stop, the beach," smiling at me. As he drove, I gazed out at the beautiful night sky.

Brandon chuckled, "Yes, it is, just like you." My cheeks warmed. I playfully pushed him, and he said, "Flirting, I see. You've been hanging around Jordan a little too much." I laughed.
