She stared at Elder Mei, completely shocked.

She was much sharper than the others and could sense the change in his attitude.

It wasn’t a good sign.

She had invested so much in the old man. She did everything he asked and fawned on him.

Elder Mei had begun to warm up to her. However, she was gone for a little while, and Elder Mei had grown fond of Feng Wu!

Zuo Qingluan couldn’t accept it.

“Elder Mei, you…” Zuo Qingluan said in an aggrieved tone, “I’m sorry for your loss, but Feng Wu is…”

Hearing that, Elder Mei threw a dirty look at her.

Sun Yu smirked. “Feng Wu is the only reason we were able to get out. There’s no way she’s trapped inside.”

What did he mean?

Zuo Qingluan’s pupils contracted, and she stared at Sun Yu. “What did you say?”

Sun Yu said, “Feng Wu helped us get out!”

Zuo Qingluan didn’t believe him. She turned to Mr. Xu for an explanation.

Mr. Xu nodded. “The formation has completely changed, and we couldn’t find the safe passageway from earlier. We came out because we followed Feng Wu’s paper crane.”

“What paper crane?” Zuo Qingluan glared at him.

Mr. Xu said, “Just like the one you tore up earlier.”

Zuo Qingluan didn’t know what to say.

Those words felt like a slap to her face.

“That little paper crane? It’s impossible!” Zuo Qingluan ground her teeth. “I don’t believe you!”

Sun Yu turned around and smirked.

“Suit yourself. Feng Wu led us out of the mine, and that’s a fact. I’m sure she’ll be able to get out,” Sun Yu said confidently.

“What do you mean?” Gongsun Mu was shocked.

Why was everybody telling him different things?

“You said you watched Feng Wu getting buried alive.” He turned to Zuo Qingluan.

He then turned to Sun Yu. “Did you say Feng Wu led you out?

“Which of you is telling the truth? Is Feng Wu alive or not?!”

Even Gongsun Mu was confused, let alone the other tutors.

Sun Yu said, “We were lost at first, and even Elder Mei couldn’t find the way. Luckily, we had a paper crane that Feng Wu gave us earlier, and it led us out of the tunnel.”

“How could a paper crane lead you out?” Somebody didn’t believe him.

Sun Yu said, “Feng Wu told us the paper crane had Level 8 inscriptions on it.”

“Don’t make me laugh! Level 8 inscriptions? Do you know what that means?” Mr. Wang smirked. “If that’s the case, show me!”

Sun Yu said, “It’s burnt to ash.”

Mr. Wang said, “So, you don’t have any evidence.”

Sun Yu said, “Elder Mei said so himself!”

Zuo Qingluan gave Mr. Wang a warning glance, and Mr. Wang kept questioning Sun Yu.

He said, “Elder Mei doesn’t talk much, but you can’t make up things like that…”

“He’s telling the truth,” Elder Mei suddenly said.

Everybody was shocked.

Level 8 inscriptions?

The paper crane really had Level 8 inscriptions!
