Chapter 1260

Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies

Chapter 1260

Then, she received the glass and took a sip.

When Ashlynn placed her arm down, she could feel it still shaking involuntarily.

She did not believe that Beth would be nice to her. She was saying it in reverse.

Beth placed the glass down. “Okay, don't you kneel anymore. You just had a miscarriage, and you

should take good care.”

It was almost as though she deliberately said it.

She also did not ask Ashlynn to give Marshall a toast.

It was as though only she was getting a goddaughter and that it was irrelevant to everyone else in

the Hilton family.

When Ashlynn stood up, her knees were stiff.

She almost lost her balance.

She returned to the seat next to Corentin, looking pale.

Beth was flexible. She saw Cory and immediately said, “Now I have taken Ashlynn as my

goddaughter. Today is a good day. Let's not ruin our day with what the media said.”

She was giving everyone a space to not be awkward.

Corentin smiled, pretending to be a gentleman, then said, “You are making me do something

contradictory to what I said. Who else will listen to me in the future?”

Even though he said so, would he not already know about the seriousness of everything?

“No, the wedding...” Cory wanted to say something more.

He was interjected by Corentin, “Please go on. I have something else to attend to. I am leaving

now.” He did not let anyone stop him but rose and left.

Ashlynn did not have a reason to stay either, so she left too.

Cory, and the Hilton family, all looked terrible.

Corentin seemed to have already decided on canceling the engagement with the Hilton family.

"Am I really being canceled on?” Meredith's ego could not take it.

Cory consoled, “Meredith, don’t worry. Uncle will make Corentin take back what he said. You are my

daughter—in-law-to-be. No one can change that.”

“I need an apology from Corentin,” Meredith requested.

"Of course!” Cory promised.

Ashlynn and Corentin left the restaurant, exited the elevator, walked across the hotel lobby, then

entered the Bintley car waiting at the front door.

The car left.

The car was driving safely on the road. It was a deafening silence within the vehicle, and the

atmosphere was so tense that it was suffocating.

Ashlynn sat by the side nervously. She looked slightly to the side and saw Corentin's injured hand.

His slender fingers were covered in blood stains that had already coagulated and were no longer

flowing.

He was indeed strong enough to have pressed the glass into pieces with his own. bare hands

Then, it would also be possible for him to snap her neck into two.

“So, are you happy to become Beth's goddaughter?” Corentin looked out of the window and asked.

Ashlynn suppressed her fear and said, “You forced me. Why would I be happy about it? Corentin,

what do you want?”

Corentin turned around, his expression twisted. “I am fulfilling your wish, don’t you understand?”

Ashlynn looked at the man that she could not understand. “Corentin, I never owed you anything...”

Corentin’s hand lifted her face and then pulled her close. His lips almost kissed hers.” You still owe

me a kid, don't you forget?”

Ashlynn could almost smell the blood in Corentin’s hands. It was so strong that it went right

through her nostrils to her brain. She had to suppress her reaction to throw up. Her face was even

slightly paler.

This was not all of it. Corentin seemed to have discovered something. His finger slid across her face,

leaving behind a streak of blood. He intended to make her face filthy.

Ashlynn could feel the warm liquid on her face, and dared not move. “Corentin, you are not human.

You are a monster...”

“I know.” Corentin’s finger slid from her face down to the pulsing artery on her neck.
