"Don’t drink too much.” Corentin poured some wine into her glass.

After lunch, they bade goodbye and left the Royal Mansion

Ashlynn slumped in the car seat, swinging side to side, while her cheeks were red. She was obviously

drunk

“I say..." Corentin moved his body over. His eyes followed her forehead, and he looked down,

stopping at her red lips. “How are you so drunk with just that few drops of wine? Huh?"

Ashlynn widened her eyes but felt her lashes heavy.

“The after-effects are strong...”

“You even know about the after-effects.” Corentin teased her, placed his lips on hers, and toyed with

them.

It was almost as though Ashlynn was the only person who remembered yesterday's horrifying

incident, and she was the only one affected. That left another traumatic mark on her.

She could not understand Corentin’s easily changed mood.

How could he act as if nothing had happened?

Perhaps, it was because she was the victim. How would the assaulter be affected...

That afternoon when they went back to Athetin, Ashlynn did not go to the office.

She went back to sleep in her mansion.

She did not even notice when Corentin left.

Corentin did not return during dinnertime but merely gave her a call.

She could hear Evan over the phone, talking about work.

Ashlynn hugged Chichi in her arms, then rubbed its fluffy head. “Do you wanna go out? We have

nothing else to do, do we?”

Then, she took Chichi out in a cab.

She went to the pet store and got Chichi some snacks.

She then brought it to the pet playground.

She remembered that was the day before she departed for Luton.
