Chapter 1043
Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies
Chapter 1043
Anne's face moved slightly as she heard the television, her heart sinking. âHow do you know?â she
asked.
âI just heard as Mr. Marwood went to the study,â Mia replied.
Anne said nothing, continuing to face the direction of the television, her expression unreadable.
âMaâam, I think it was probably just a phone call. Mr. Marwood cares most about you, â Mia said.
âI don't care. Leave,â Anne said, her response surprising Mia. However, she supposed that her
indifference was just a facade and that she must be feeling hurt inside.
No woman could accept her husband having a mistress, especially when that mistress was Mr.
Marwood's former fiance.
Anne, standing at the doorway to the bedroom, heard the faint footsteps and turned her face away
from the television, looking toward the balcony.
The daylight outside seemed so bright, but it had nothing to do with her...
Was her life destined to be shrouded in darkness?
Anne did not want to admit that it bothered her, and she was unable to bear this changing self.
How ridiculous of her to love Anthony deeply...
After watching nearly a whole episode of television, Anthony returned to his room.
Anne asked directly, âWas that Bianca on the phone?â
âShe did go to the hospital,â Anthony replied.
It seemed that was the case... Anne steadied the sour emotions in her heart and said, âYou don't
need to stay at the Royal Mansion all the time. Take care of your own affairs. There are so many
people here to take care of me, so you can rest assured.â
She could not escape because of her blindness.
Anthony did not need to worry.
Anthony heard the sarcasm in her words, but he did not get angry. He said, âThere's a shareholder
meeting at the company this afternoon. Ill go there for a while and be back soon.â
Anne nodded silently and then requested, âCould you provide me with a cell phone? I occasionally
need to reach out to the company.â
âAre you still not at ease with Xander here?â
âl inherited the company from my father, and I must handle it myself. Even if I cannot see now, I will
eventually heal,â Anne replied.
âUnderstood,â Anthony said, grabbing her jaw and leaning in close
As he bit her lower lip, Anne's fingers, which were resting at her side, trembled uncontrollably.
She tried to push him away, but her palm merely pressed against his chest, unable to move him or
do anything except feel the strength and warmth emanating from him.
Anthony continued to ravage her until he was satisfied.
When he let go of Anne, she felt as though she was suffocating and her limbs were weak.
The swelling on her lips persisted for a considerable amount of time.
Before noon, the mobile phone was delivered to her.
Anne could not see, so Anthony set up some simple controls for her.
The number one button was for Anthony, and the number two button was for the person she
needed to contact at the company.
Anne listened carefully, remembered the instructions, and tentatively fumbled with her fingers on
the phone.
After Anne took a nap in the afternoon, Anthony left.
When she woke up, he still had not returned.
Mia saw that a pot of beauty collagen drink was being cooked in the kitchen and quickly said, âSir,
I'll take care of that. It just so happens that it's my turn to guard the bedroom.â
âOkay, I'll go check on the kids,â Hayden said, handing her the bowl.
Mia went upstairs with the drink in her hands. As she climbed the stairs, she saw no one was paying
attention to her, so she took out a small bottle from her pocket and bit off the soft cap with her
mouth. She poured some liquid poison into the drink and stirred it with a spoon.
By the time she reached the top of the stairs, the soup had returned to its normal appearance.
After entering the room, she whispered to the maid, âIs she awake?"
âShe's awake,â the maid replied.
âYou go. I'll take your place,â Mia said.
The maid left.
âMaâam, I've brought you some beauty collagen drink, Mia said as she entered the bedroom and
saw that Anne was about to lift the quilt and get out of bed. She quickly put down the plate and
stepped forward to help her.
âNo, give me my white cane. Anne refused her help. She would have to get used to doing things on
her own, as she did not know when her eyesight would be restored
