Chapter 60

Playboy vs Loveguru

Vihan's POV

Ron sighed deeply, his gaze flickering toward the house where his brothers had gone. "Okay!! We’ll inquire about him. Just leave her alone. "

"Inquire later. Right now, I’m not letting him get away with this. I won't leave her alone, she is very important to me. Just wait—I’ll prove what kind of man he is." I spun on my heel and headed for the door.

"Vihan," Ron called after me, but I didn’t turn back.

Shit!! But where the hell has he taken her?

I took a few deep breaths then I recalled Sujoy uncle calling someone to make arrangements for them in his best restaurant.

I rushed there and booked another table being the privilege of being my dad's son. We all always got the table however busy it was.

*******

I paced outside the restaurant in Khanna hotels, where Sujoy uncle had supposedly booked a table for Roohi and Garv. My mind raced as I pieced together my plan. There was only one way to expose the real Garv—by bringing someone who knew him well enough to rattle him.

I dialed Niya, a friend who’d once been tangled up with Garv. She picked up after two rings, her voice cautious.

"Niya, it’s Vihan," I began without preamble. "I need a favor."

*******

The restaurant buzzed with life when I arrived. I spotted Roohi and Garv seated near a corner table, their backs to me. I took a seat with Niya at a table not far from them, positioned perfectly to observe without being noticed.

Niya sipped her wine, her lips curving into a knowing smirk. "So, he is your best friend’s date?"

"Yes," I muttered. "And that’s why I need you to do what we discussed."

Niya laughed softly, brushing a hand through her hair. "Watch and learn, Vihan."

She excused herself, weaving her way through the restaurant. Pretending to head toward the restroom, she stopped abruptly near Garv’s table and let out a delighted gasp. "Garv? Is that you?"

Garv’s expression froze, his eyes widening in shock before narrowing in irritation. "N.Niya," he muttered, forcing a tight smile.

She leaned closer, her voice playful. "It’s been so long! Remember those dinners we had? And that weekend getaway?" She chuckled, letting her fingers lightly brush his arm.

Garv stiffened, his jaw clenching. "Niya, this isn’t the time," he hissed. "I’m with someone."

"Oh, don’t be so uptight," Niya teased, her tone light but cutting. "You weren’t this shy back then, In fact, I remember you being very naughty." She winked at him.

"What nonsense!! You can't come here and spoil my evening like this, you are doing this deliberately, aren't you? Just because I rejected you. "

"Excuse me!! You rejected me?? I rejected you when I got to see your true colours. I saw how you treated people. How badly you treated your staff, your juniors, your ex-girlfriends, and even me. Don't shout at me! Keep your anger in control or even this would reject you." She said pointing at Roohi on her last line.

" Please leave!"

Roohi glanced between them, her confusion evident, but before she could speak, a waiter arrived at their table. As he placed their drinks, his hand accidentally slipped, spilling wine and pasta over Garv’s pristine white shirt.

"What the hell!" Garv exploded, shooting up from his seat.

"I’m so sorry, sir," the waiter stammered, grabbing a napkin to help clean up.

"Sorry? My foot! " Garv snapped, his voice echoing across the restaurant. "Do you even know how much this shirt costs? You’re a useless idiot! You will not be able to buy it with your month's salary. Bloody bast..."

"Garv!" Roohi interjected, standing up, her expression horrified.

" Sorry, Sir."

Garv ignored her, his rage boiling over. He slapped the waiter, the sound sharp and jarring. Gasps rippled through the nearby diners.

"Garv, stop!" Roohi grabbed his arm, her voice shaking.

The waiter stepped back, his face pale. "I didn’t mean to—"

"Don’t speak to me!" Garv barked, glaring at the young man. "You’ve ruined my evening, you worthless son of a—"

"That’s enough! It is just a shirt. He didn't do it deliberately, it was just a mistake. " Roohi cut him off, her voice trembling with anger. She turned to the waiter, her gaze softening. "Are you okay? I’m so sorry for his behavior."

The waiter nodded hesitantly, tears brimming in his eyes.

Garv scoffed. "You’re apologizing to him? He should be groveling at my feet!"

Roohi stared at him, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Garv, I can’t believe this. I didn’t expect you to be so..." She trailed off, struggling for words.

"So?? What?" Garv challenged, his tone dripping with arrogance.

"Rude. Cruel. Unkind," Roohi said finally, her voice breaking. She grabbed her bag. "I don’t think I can do this anymore. I have a headache. I’d like to go home."

Garv sputtered, trying to form a response, but Roohi was already walking away.

*****

The cool night air brushed against my face as I spotted Roohi standing near the curb, arms wrapped tightly around herself. She looked so small, so vulnerable. My chest tightened, anger simmering just below the surface as I thought about Garv’s disgusting behavior.

I stepped out of the shadows, my footsteps deliberately heavy so she wouldn’t be startled. She turned, her eyes red-rimmed, and for a second, I saw a flicker of relief before her expression hardened.
