Roohi's POV

"Okay, fine," he admitted, grinning. "Maybe I helped the universe along a little."

I knew it!!

I shook my head, laughing softly. "You’re unbelievable, Vihan."

"Maybe," he said, his grin widening. "But you have to admit, it was pretty entertaining."

I didn’t disagree... So I nodded.

“You were enjoying that, didn't you?” I asked him.

He grinned,  “More than you’ll ever know, buddy.”

“You’re impossible, Vihan.”

“Impossibly charming, you mean,” he said, winking at me.

I rolled my eyes but couldn’t hide my smile.

Tell me about your date last night." I changed the topic, as I wanted to see his reaction.

" It was great!" He shrugged.

Liar!

" Was it anyone I know?" I asked.

" No, you don't know her. "

"Oh okay. Well, I have to go for my rounds. " I said and he nodded.

" Me too. I have surgery to assist my Dad. Will talk to you later. But do not respond to this person. Throw everything out. Wait, give  that to me; I will do the honor."  He said firmly.

"Bye, Vihan! All the best for the surgery." I said and he went away.

As he walked away, I felt very good from within, though I could not share it with him.

But the elephant was still in the room and demanded our attention, who was sending all those things to me and Why?

Once my OPD was over I went to the cafeteria for coffee. I was missing Gauravi and Mihir. My phone was ringing, it was an unknown number but I picked up the call.

"Hello!! "

"Hey!! Hi, Krish this side." I was surprised to hear Krish's voice. Why was he calling me? Where did he get my number from?

I didn't know what to say. So I just said, "Yes?? "

" Sorry for what happened yesterday. I don't know, how..." He started saying.

" That's okay, Krish! It doesn't matter." I said politely.

" Thanks! If you are not saying it just for the sake of making me comfortable about the awkward situation, would you like to come out with me? " He asked.

" Er... ummm, I am sorry, Krish. I kind of like someone... " I was talking to Krish when I saw Vihan coming towards me.

"Roohi, would you like to...." He stopped when he realized I was on the call and asked me to finish the call.

"I am sorry, Krish. But I can't... " I was saying when I saw Vihan losing his calm again.

"May I know, what is the reason for you denying me the pleasure of your company?" Krish asked though he must have heard what I said.

"Well, nothing particular...  " I didn't know what to say as Vihan was standing right in front of me.

" Because you like someone else already? " He asked.

" Hmmm, yes! " I said. And the moment I said it. Vihan got annoyed.

" Well, lucky man!! I hope he wants you as much as you want him... But we can still be friends, right?"

" Yes, of course!"

" What the hell!! Give that phone to me." Vihan said and pulled my phone out of my hand.

" Listen, Mr. Krish or whatever your name is... She is not going anywhere with you." Vihan yelled at him.

" Vihan, stop it!! Give me my phone back." I tried to snatch the phone back but he caught my hand and kept threatening him. It was so embarrassing.

God!!

"If I see you anywhere near her, I will break all your teeth and bones in so many pieces that even the best dentist and orthopedic surgeon will make you look and walk normally again... " He was saying it so dramatically that I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the situation.

"Vihan, stop it!! Give me my phone." I said punching his arm.

" Don't even dare to call her again or I will tell her brothers about your attempts at flirting with her while you have dozens of other girls in your life. I am sure they would not appreciate it." He threatened him again and disconnected the call. I pulled the phone out of his hand.

"Vihan!! This is too much. Have you gone mad?" I was embarrassed so I yelled at him.

" No, you must have gone mad if you were talking to that man even after what you saw last night. I am sane, and I will not let you talk to him."

"What is your problem?? You went to the bar with random girls, and I am sure you have also dated almost all of those girls you invited, then how can you be so judgemental about him? What kind of behavior was that? I know how to talk to someone who is flirting; I have seen enough playboys in my life... You might have experience with girls, but whether you believe it or not, I know what is not good for me; for god's sake, stop treating me as if I am dumb or a child." I yelled at him.

" When did I say that you are dumb? You are very naive and gullible... I can't let you go out with him. " He said in a very calm voice.

Strange!! He was furious when he was talking to Krish.

" It is not your right to say anything regarding this since I never interfere in your personal life," I said.

" Roohi, He is..."

" I know, and I already told him that I was not going anywhere with him... He is Viren's friend, I have known him since forever... I was just trying to make a polite conversation after refusing to go out with him. But you behaved as if I was some stupid schoolgirl..." I retorted.

" Okay, calm down!! "

" Don't talk to me!! " I said, glaring at him, and went for my rounds.
